Fetch Pet Care of Tri-Valley

I used to be quite happy with Fetch and our petsitter Cat through them but then the last visit went very, very wrong. Cat couldn’t find my bird’s food so she decided to not feed him at all. A brief text to me saying she «winged it» when she couldn’t find his food. I assumed that meant she fed him treats and fruit that I had around the house. Nope, nothing. Thankfully, we were only gone 36 hours (a pm and an am visit) and my bird seems to be ok but birds cannot go that long without food! If he had been a smaller bird or a fragile bird he would have been dead upon our return. Dan (the manager) did apologize and not charge us for the service but I guess I would have liked a stronger response. He only contacted me via email after specifically asking him to call. I have otherwise found him to be responsive and helpful.

Melissa is great, she does daily walks with our 2 year old lab Sam and she is fantastic. He loves her and we are thrilled. She gives us texts on how things are going and he is a happy boy. I trust her to take care of our boy and would recommend Fetch Pet Care to all my friends.

I have used Fetch Pet Care in years past with my older dogs. In May, I decided to use them again although I knew that my favorite pet sitter no longer worked for Fetch. I contacted Dan the manager to arrange the dates, meet the new pet sitter and complete paperwork. The pet sitter Joni was fantastic and our dogs really loved her. My issue is with Dan.
On 3 occasions (May, July and September), I requested services and Dan assured me he would check with the sitter and get back to me. Each time he failed to call me back. He did not communicate with Joni to get our updated credit card information upfront. In May, I had to track Dan down to add a tip for our sitter. In July, he failed to invoice us and only after I called did he do so. This month, Dan advised me that our sitter would be available, however a week went by without a follow-​up call. When I called again and requested that he call me, he opted to text me that our sitter was already booked! This was just days before our departure.
I spoke with Dan about my concerns and advised him that I was concerned about his lack of professionalism, ability to follow-​up and manage a business. He did not admit that he had failed. It is a shame that because of Dan’s inability to perform basic scheduling tasks we will no longer use Joni through Fetch. She is a great pet sitter.

We needed a cat sitter for 10 days while on a recent trip and so we contacted Dan at Fetch Pet-​care Tri-​Valley. Dan sent us Anastasia who was a total GEM. Not only did she take care of our cat, and looked after our house she left our daughter a darling note from the Easter Bunny along with treats for her and our cat. She went so far above and beyond the call of duty and we will definitely be requesting Anastasia from Fetch Pet Care for future trips.

We needed a dog sitter for our two dogs while we were away for 2 weeks. Dan from Fetch responded immediately to our request for information and lined up two local dog sitters. The service includes a free consultation with the sitters so we could get acquainted and have them meet the dogs. Our dogs take a while to warm up to new people so we first had the sitters come for afternoon walks. By the time we left for our trip, the dogs were comfortable with both sitters. For two dogs, the cost of the overnight dog/​house sitter is the same as putting the dogs in a kennel. Another nice feature of Fetch is that payment is by credit card. We returned to a clean house with two happy dogs. We were extremely pleased with the care provided by Karyl and Linnea. We have already recommended Fetch to our friends.

I have Melissa walk my Pug whenever I have to pull 14 hour work days. He loves the attention and she seems to love Petey, too!
I like feeling comfortable that I can get a text after her visit if I need it, or she will leave me a note letting me know what they did during her visit.

We (me, husband and two dogs) have a great relationship with our petsitter Robin. She visits our pups at a minimum 4 — 6 days each month. Our dogs range in age and she gives personal attention to each, meeting both of their needs during her visits. How do I know this? She leaves notes from each visit and we sometimes connect via phone while scheduling or I get home early and overlap so I have been here to see it. We have had a consistent experience for two years now. I communicate directly with her via text or phone to set up the schedule. We used Fetch for several years when we lived in eastern Pennsylvania and had the same consistent experience. With Fetch and Robin we get peace of mind and our pets get great playtime and outside time with Robin when we have long work days or trips.

Fetch! Pet Care of Tri-​Valley has been a great service for our family. When I was searching for intermittent care for our dog, I called multiple pet sitting services, and Fetch! Pet Care of Tri-​Valley was the only organization to return my call. Within two days we met Brit, the wonderful person who cares for our dog. We notice that our dog is calm and tired on the days Brit cares for her, as Brit takes our dog on walks and sometimes a jog. Brit has been very dependable and flexible with our schedule. This is a wonderful organization to work with and to care for your precious pets.

I absolutely love Fetch! We have been using their services for almost two years now and consider our walkers part of the family. They are so loving and considerate and my husband and I are so grateful. Our dog looks forward to seeing them everyday because she gets such great attention from them and enjoys her excursions so much. I highly recommend this company and their services — they truly are wonderful!

If you are looking for a responsible and great dog walker ask for Teresa. I have been using her for years through Fetch! She is always reliable and my dog just adores her. She communicates great with me. She text me with anything that might be out of the ordinary so I don’t have to wait until I get home to read a note. If she has someone filling in she will bring them by in advance to make sure my dog is familiar with the new person walking her. She is wonderful.

Horrible. We used the same petsitter through Fetch, twice and besides being extremely high maintenance, I came home to a note that my dog had gotten into a bag of chocolate chip cookies and that she hoped he was ok. Hello… that didn’t warrant a phone call to me or perhaps checking to make sure he was going to be ok. She left him. She did manage to call me though and insist on me explaining to her how to work the tv even though I was about to attend a cousin’s wedding. Never, never again will I call them.

I’d love to be able to comment on the actual petsitters at Fetch, except for the fact that it’s been impossible to get any sitters to call me. In fact, it’s quite a process to hear back from Dan. I left several voicemails and emails and finally heard back from Dan. I told him I was looking to find a petsitter soon because I was looking for the holidays and they were already booking up with other sitters I had called. He said a sitter would be calling me that day or the next day. This was a week ago. I got a call from him a few days later saying that I should be receiving a call soon. I’m still waiting… And frankly, I’ve given up and found someone on
instead which I highly recommend. You can type in your zip code and find many options of people near you who can take care of your dog. This eliminates the need for a go-​between person because you can contact the petsitters directly. What a disappointment. Fetch Pet Care definitely needs to work on customer service and follow-​through.

Extremely disappointed in fetch Petsitting. Our scheduled Petsitter lost our house key on new years eve and we were not able to make it back home until the morning. Our puppy ended up alone in a confined space for over 20 hours without food! Called the owner and left a message to let them know how much this ruined our new years plans knowing our puppy was home alone and hungry and I have not received a call back yet! Such a disappointment…

We have been using Fetch! Pet Care for the past 4 years and every time we return from vacation, our dog is happy and relaxed from his time with our dogsitter. The cost is reasonable and the pet care is professional and caring toward our dog.

Fetch! was perfect for our 1 year old German Sheppard puppy! It was very comforting knowing that she would be in a home atmosphere with 2 other dogs as companions. She had regular walks, play time in the yard and enjoyed both dog and people company all day and NIGHT! Robin was great and kept me informed through texting. Definitely a much better experience than being in a crate in a room full of dogs or playing in a room full of barking dogs and getting over stimulated. I didn’t have to worry if she had a bath before going home — she wasn’t stuck in a smelly room all day and night. What a great find!
