After year’s of driving by this place, I finally had a chance to see for myself what was in this little house on Federal Hwy. Parking is limited but the valet was very friendly and speedy. Our friends arrived before us. Apparently, when you are the only ones in the restaurant it feels a little like the Disney Haunted Mansion. The spooky feeling dissipates once diners start to arrive. The décor is definitely a mix between a cozy home feel with some eclectic global elements. I would call it «gay baroque». Is that even a design style? The dining rooms are laid out like a home so you definitely feel like you have some privacy from your fellow diners. If that means«romantic» in your book, so be it. Oh! And when one of the owners grills you about a reservation, whilst standing in an empty dining room, it’s not a great start to the evening. Just thought I would mention that, especially when all the tables were not full when we left either. We started with the artichoke appetizer. It was very good. I had the veal franchese. My husband had the stuffed lobster. Overall, the food was good but it wasn’t so amazing that I would make the drive to eat there again. It was good, solid Italian food. Of all the dishes we had, I liked the artichoke the best. Our server was very sweet and attentive. She didn’t rush us. She kept the drinks coming and was always there to let us know an ETA on the food. If I were going to rave about anything it would be the service. All in all, it was a nice evening out to a place I have never been. I checked it off my list of places to try but it wasn’t so memorable that I’m dying to go back.

I wish I could eat here all the time! It’s a great place to go if you want to take your time and enjoy wine, good company and some of the best Italian food this area has to offer. The osso buco is insanely good. There is no bad choice on the menu and the service is «old school» really attentive.

I usually don’t give five stars but this place makes me feel at home. The food is great! There’s always great wines and live entertainment! I love it here! I can’t wait to visit home on the east coast in SoFlo to go to this place! Thanks again Michael:)

We had dinner here last Saturday night and had a great time. It is a very funky restaurant inside of a historic old home and has a very eclectic and flamboyant atmosphere. We were greeted by one of the owners after ringing the doorbell(you must in order to get get inside). And we had a pretty early reservation(6:30pm) but the place was already packed. The food was tasty! We both had the Cesar salad, I had the escargot app.(stuffed in mushroom caps), and for my entrée I had the Baby calf’s liver in wine sauce. We also sipped on HUGE martinis that with PERFECT freshly stuffed blue cheese olives. We were greeted during our dinner by the other owner who talked to us and invited us to come look around at the rest of the place after we ate. Very friendly and attentive service. Charming décor and live piano player which all added to the fun! We will definitely be returning. The only problem I had was it was a rainy night and the valet parker seemed to have had a few. when we arrived. When we returned he couldn’t find our keys and the radio station had been changed. i also found a stain on the side of the seat from a spill of some sort of brown liquid. But this is your only parking option… STILL great food and oh my friend had the duck and loved it!

A friend who’s a local from South Florida brought us here after we arrived from the airport. The service is friendly and relaxed. They’ll let you sit for a while with that first glass of wine talking even before looking at the menu. They didn’t have a montepulciano or sangiovese,(I asked) but had a decent chianti. And a good solid pour. I appreciate a good pour when ordering a glass of wine. Had the really good, large Osso Bucco with the marrow. Oh yeah. Sides are angel hair and some veggies that I don’t think I ate. And my wife liked the calves liver a lot. Good place to feel relaxed. My dad even played a song on the piano before leaving. Blue Moon. Friendly people and tasty food. Works for me. They have valet too.

I attended a private party at Larry & Teddy’s Casa Bella in the front room at Casa Bella, an Italian-Continental Restaurant that has been in Dania, near the Fort Lauderdale Airport for a very long time. The appetizers(clams, calamari) and the hot pieces of garlic french bread were by far the most memorable eats of the evening. My chicken francais with linguine was okay. I liked that they let me select my type of pasta(penne, angel hair or linguine). I should have chose the penne. The old house was decorated like it was still Christmas with a big Santa Claus in front and Xmas lights all around the restaurant. I imagine they take them down. It was primarily a senior type crowd the night we were there but we did have some privacy in the front room. There is valet parking only and there is one attendant only, but that wasn’t a problem except we pulled the car in to self park and I wasn’t sure if the attendant worked there. BTW, the service was very, very good! In general, it might be a place to take your grandparents.
