Was going to give it three stars because they got our order wrong– lucky we all liked the pineapple pizza(which we typically don’t at other place) environment was different, which I enjoyed. The dessert was overwhelmingly in quantity– never a bad thing. Over all great pizza. Not sure I’m qualified to call it «authentic Italian» so I won’t no matter how Italian themed the place was(beautiful lighting btw) Basically a hidden little gem that I certainly visit again. :)

Just moved to the area and walked to find a place for dinner with some family. We had the house salad that was wonderfully fresh, with their house bread that is a garlic and Parmesan focaccia. My uncles had the chicken francaise and ravioli, I had the rigatoni al a vodka and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The place is small but does a great business, we were there at 5:30 and every table but one was full. There are a few tables outside. The service is quick and attentive. The price point is a bit high for a strip mall restaurant but is appropriate to the portions(huge) and food quality. I would rather pay more for great food regardless of where I’m dining. Great place, can’t wait to go back and try the pizza!

This place is and always has been the best pizza place in all of south Florida. Since its start on Hollywood circle almost 45 years ago to the Dania location today the pizza is best of the best for proper New York style with a crunchy crust, a distinct taste to the cheese, the tangy sauce and fresh toppings and it’s simply amazing. Tastes the same today also as it did 30 years ago. The veal, the pastas, and the salads are all top notch as well. This is the best pizza place ever yet so much more. If you haven’t tried it GONOW!

Well, this review is based on two visits as it’s possible for the first visit to be luck! And they’re definitely not functioning off luck! Whoever is in this kitchen knows their S**T! Don’t be discouraged by the appearance or location of this restaurant. It’s in a Publix plaza and doesn’t seem like much from the outside in and that’s where you’d be making a big mistake. Their food is really really good! Both times we had the Chicken Francaise and both times we absolutely cleaned our plates! I mean seriously there was nothing left on the plate! The garlic bread is DELICIOUS! The service is good, at times there’s a waitress who always seems flustered but even she’s nice! They have a good size menu with an outstanding lunch menu and they do not skimp on the portions. The food comes out pipping hot! And you can literally taste the freshness. This is my new go to spot for Italian food in the Dania Beach area! In my opinion it’s an A+!

I am picky about my pizza and Italian food as I cook my own from scratch but now that my family is all over the place, I don’t have to do that anymore. Its just me and my dog. So where do I go when I don’t feel like cooking and want to hang out with my dog? I go here. This place is awesome. Its a small, hole in the wall. The best place to eat. I take my yorkie and we sit outside and chill. The pizza is New York style and they crisp it up for me cause thats the way that I like it! When my family is in town, we go there. That is a good thing cause it means I don’t have to cook!

I would consider Conca D’Oro one of my standby Italian restaurants. It is simply consistently good. Dominic DeLuca ran Conca D’Oro on Young Circle in Hollywood for over 25 years. Shortly before closing this location he opened a takeout pizza place on Dania Beach Boulevard with his son, Orlando. After closing the Young Circle operation, Dominic increased his offerings in Dania and added tables. Maintaining the same high quality and relatively low prices, the place was an instant hit, which is reflected in the wait times and successful carry-out business. Their pizza is one of the closest to New York’s style since I left the northeast. Nothing in Hollywood comes close. Every few weeks my wife and I run over and split a linguine with red clam sauce and a small Conca salad. Add a bottle of beer and a glass of wine and you’ve had a full meal for around $ 30. But most importantly, it’s delicious. Is the service a bit crazy. Yes. Is everybody crowded into a tiny space … Yup. But it’s part of the enjoyment at Conca D’Oro. You feel like your having dinner at your grandmothers house. The people are friendly and you’ll always leave satisfied and with a smile on your face. I shouldn’t even be leaving a review like this because it might just increase my wait time. But then again. It’s worth the wait.

Excellent pizza and nice outdoor seating. The place is packed with people coming in and out with To Go food. We were referred by a fancy Italian restaurant nearby.

My family and I were staying in a nearby hotel and decided to order out for pizza. We were so impressed with quality ingredients and true Italian style. Quick delivery and very friendly staff! They also included plates, napkins, plastic silverware, crushed peppers & Parmesan cheese which was AWESOME given we were staying in a hotel. Delicious all around!

I would like to start by saying that this place has some of the best pizzas of all time! In my humble opinion, but I do love pizza. The end. Bravo. Encore. Enjoy. Long live pizza!

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in South Florida. Previously they had a location in Downtown Hollywood as well. My husband loves the chicken ziti broccoli with a cream sauce that Chef George makes just for him. It is not on the menu. I love the Veal Marsala with a delicious mushroom and brown sauce with a side of pasta with the same sauce it is heavenly. Plenty of parking as it is in a strip center. Sometimes on Fridays you have to wait but it is worth it.

Visiting from out of town and took to Unilocal to find some delivery, and glad I chose this place! Their baked ziti was a cheesy deliciousness with the perfect amount of ricotta, and baked –but not burned. Their Sicilian pie was good and doughy as it should be. Extra points for their delivery driver who looks like Keith Richards. This place is the real deal! Unilocal saves the day again!

After playing tourist in one of the bay cruises, I was looking for a galley to get some grub. Italian food is one if my favorite cuisines and I ended up at Conca’d’Oro on my friend Britt Z’s review. Though I showed up about 15 minutes to closing time, other than having me pay early so they can close out the registers(perfectly understandable) they didn’t rush me out and allowed me to finish my deliciously huge chicken parmesan dinner. This was a giant tender chicken breast of seasoned, perfectly juicy and not overly cheesy, just as I requested. They also served a small portion of cheese as requested. Same with the penne pasta. my noodles were perfectly al dente and with a generous helping of marinara in a large bowl. I started with a pasta fagioli soup that skimped neither on portion size, ingredients or flavor. Even at that time of night, the bread service was warm and fluffy. The vibe is not fancy, but more like eating in your grandma’s dining room. You’ll be sure to eat a generous, tasty portion of food and a good spot to relax for a bit. Thanks Nonna!

Sometimes dives have the best food. Just watch Guy’s show on The Food Network. Well this is certainly the case with this restaurant. This is a small pizza place with only about 12 or so tables. Don’t come here for the ambiance or the service you would expect at a fine restaurant. The only thing to come here for is the delicious food. They started out in Hollywood. First as a small little place and then they expanded and added a beautiful dining room. I believe they were in Hollywood for at least 25+ years, maybe longer. I used to come here with my grandparents when I was a teenager. My ex fiancé and I had our first date here. My family and I had many dinners here throughout the years. When they closed a couple of years ago I was very sad. Such great food and equally great memories. Two weeks ago I was meeting someone for lunch. I drove down to Dania with a friend. He was driving so I wasn’t paying attention to where we were going. All I knew was that we were going for Italian food. As we pulled into the Publix shopping center, I immediately saw the name of the restaurant and I started acting completely crazy. Could it be my old favorite place reopened? I whipped out my phone and Unilocaled it. Sure enough this was the same restaurant and the same owner. I was so excited and I started talking a mile a minute to my friend who clearly thought I was crazy. I had to be professional since this was a work lunch meeting. Luckily I pulled myself together and went into professional mode quickly. Truthfully I just faked it. I was only concerned about seeing the menu and I wasn’t focused on work at all. And I was bummed that I wouldn’t be able to take pictures too. Even though I read that it was the same food as the original location I still felt a need to confirm this with our waitress. I pressured my friend into sharing my favorite two dishes with me. Luckily he was agreeable and I was happy. We ordered a ½ dozen garlic rolls($ 2.75) for the table. Thank god I wasn’t kissing anyone that night because the rolls were covered in amazing garlic and butter. Just like I remembered. We shared the baked clams oreganata($ 6.95). We each had three small baked clams that were perfectly prepared. The sauce was garlicky and lemony and just like I remembered. I couldn’t stop dipping pieces of my garlic roll into the sauce. Really I would have been completely happy with just the sauce and a roll. For our entrée we shared the chicken cacciatore($ 15.00). We were asked if we wanted the chicken on the bone and I said yes. This dish is almost an entire chicken. Definitely enough for 2 or 3 people. It was terrific and just like I remembered. My friend ordered the veal parmesan($ 19.00) and she enjoyed it. Her office orders delivery from here a lot and they all love the pizza as well as the food. This is a little whole in the wall that probably does more takeout and delivery than actually serving customers in the dining room. And when I say dining room I really mean a row of tables against the wall. Regardless the food is well prepared and equally as good. I brought my mom here a few days ago for lunch. We split the clams oreganata, she ordered the chicken cacciatore and I had the eggplant parmesan($ 15.00). The eggplant was great, just like I remembered it. The entrées come with a side of pasta or a vegetable. I ordered pasta and asked them to substitute meat sauce for the marinara. The meat sauce was excellent and worth the $ 1.00 upcharge. The service is crazy but in a good way. You have to ask for a glass and ice if you order a soda. If your good with just sticking a straw in the can then that’s even better. After waiting a little while that is exactly what I did. I asked for extra sauce and didn’t get it until we packed up our leftovers. Was the service perfect? Haha, that’s funny. Yes we waited for things we needed and yes we listened to our waitress shout out orders to the guy behind the counter. But this was all okay. Roz was truly a delight and she was working her tush off. Answering the phone, helping walk in customers, waiting on the two or so tables outside as well as the inside tables. I just wanted to help her. I couldn’t be upset for one minute. She was friendly and good natured and funny. Would she survive at a high end restaurant? Probably not. But this is a pizzeria and her customers clearly adore her. I’ve been here twice in two weeks and I will return sooner than later. Probably not the best neighborhood, so I will stick to lunches for now. The prices are very reasonable. Where else can you order baked clams oreganata for just $ 6.95? If you used to dine at their old Hollywood location then you will love the food. Same recipes and the same owner. I’m a fan.

Small place across from Dania J’ai alai near Publix. What a find. Great food. Awesome pizza. If you like the thin pizza, non-chicago-style, this is the real deal. I’d say on my top 2 list for Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood areas. I will have to go back and try the rest of the food. It all looked great and the place was absolutely packed! Good sign.

I ordered takeout from here. I had the Chicken Marsala with pasta. When I first started eating I was thinking it would be a solid«3» rating BUT as I further ate the flavors started coming out and the bread that came with it was soooo good! When I came in to pick up my order it was ready and hot. The service was just ok but I will give it a pass this time as the lady was on the cash register and picking up the phone to take other orders. There wasn’t a crowd inside but the phone orders seemed to keep them busy the short while I was there. I will definitely go back, maybe try during lunch and see if it is a little more affordable… for the price I paid for my dinner entrée it would have been nice to have had a side salad with it. However, I thought I would have leftovers but the food was good enough that I ate the whole thing in one sitting! :)
