Best Sandwich shop in town! I absolutely love it. Sandwich: Rosa’s Best is Yummy! Turkey, Bacon and avocado is soo good on a sandwich. I usually get it on Gluten Free bread. seems like its always packed with people, always a line. I love going to Tutor & Spunky’s Deli, Its Delicious! :)

Honestly, I can’t understand why this place has always been so packed. I’ve been here at least 15 – 20 times over the last 15 years, and not by my choice, but it has maintained the same bland flavors. They’re tuna sandwich, for lack of a better adjective, sucks! Seriously, how can something as simple as a tuna sandwich come out so flavorless and blah. Subway’s better than this place. Their sandwiches are way overpriced, I guess we are paying for their remodel and addition to the shop. I wouldn’t even mind the cost of their sandwiches if the quality matched the price tag but it falls very short. The service is mediocre at best and the place lacks cleanliness, like a constant layer of dirt and flies lingering over the deli. It’s obvious that more effort was put into expanding this deli while none was put into the quality of their food. Luckily the new Poke Tuna Block was put into this center so that I can get some quality food when I walk over here.

Rosa’s special turkey, bacon avacado on squaw bread Nothing bad in the name and nothing bad in the sandwich either. Great little joint that consistently serves up deli grub with a so cal twist. When in Dana Point, search no longer for a great lunch spot.

Love this place. I’ve tried several sandwiches here and have yet to be disappointed. Bonus is when you eat outside during the weekends you’ll see so many different types of dogs. Wonderful staff that are helpful with any special requests, lots of smiles, and overall excellent service. We come here at least once a week!

I’m s tutor and spunkys… HELLO! This place is the business. Rosas best is literally Rosas best! Took my 5 children here and they lived it. Chicken noodle soup was on point. Great view if you sit behind the restaurant.

Very solid lunch/sandwich shop. Sometimes you get there and there is a line out of the door, but dont sweat it. Line moves quick and its one of the best sandwich places around. Plenty of seating and I always enjoy my lunch here. You cant go wrong here, enjoy!

So-so experience. Not horrible but nothing special. Felt I could make a sandwich at home that’s just as good. Also a bit grossed out by the little bugs flying around while eating, but the delis doors are open so it’s bound to happen. Kind of pricey also.

Been going here for many years and have always been a fan. Generally get the«To Be Named» which I guess is now«The Grinder». Got to have it with the oil dressing they will give you from behind the counter. Tom seems to be gone but the transition was good. Hopefully they put in a self serve ice and cup area for dine in sodas. The chairs at the small tables are in need of replacing. must have got a deal on them. I end up taking a 4 top when I could just as easily sit in a chair, if one was comfortable! Any one I take here likes it and the service is great. Can be slow when busy but they answer the phone so get the number on speed dial and no wait!

I have been here at least a dozen times and the quality is perfect always! The sourdough bread is soft and delicious. I always get the shredded chicken double meat because it’s is so juicy and fresh. A+

I’ve been here several times since the ownership change and must thank and congratulate the new owner for keeping it the same. Everything is still super fresh, Rosa still works there, and I see no change in the quality of the amazing squaw bread. It was a good formula before, and I was afraid the new owner would try to cut costs and corners(as that seems to be the norm). I wish you many years of success, but that is selfish because I want many years of yummy, huge sandwiches!

Come here quite often so I thought they deserve a good review. My favorite part of tutors is consistency, I always the«Rosas best» and it’s always a great sandwich. The people that work there are always friendly and helpful. Great little place to get a nice sand which.

I don’t get the big deal about this place. Way over priced, and not that great. This was my second time there. Tell me how you can charge the larger sandwich size $ 9.45, for a sandwich on already sliced bread? I’m tempted to go back and order the smaller on the small kind of bread, see if I get the same. Almost ten bucks for this? Not only did the woman pull the bacon for my blt out if a plastic, non covered bin on the counter that had easily a week’s worth of bacon in it, but after taking my order, then another, she put gloves on to start making the sandwiches, and when another guy wanted to update his order, just took his card, updated his payment touching everything, wiped her face off, then continued to make my food. No. Glove. Change. Ewwww. I attached pictures of my sad almost 10 $ sandwich, no chips or drink, sandwich only, it’s really not worth it, and not even a pickle.

This place is always crowded, but I think they do a good job at handling all the customers. They seem to get you in, and send you out with your food in a very timely manner. I always have the Teresa’s Touch, turkey, provolone and avocado, it’s my favorite. I really like the choices of bread they give you too, the squaw is my favorite. Another bonus is that it’s a local place, so they know you by name. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is that it is kinda expensive. But at the same time, you do get your money’s worth. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Tutor and Spunky is a great sandwhich shop. I ordered the Rosa’s Best on a baked roll and I have to say it was very tasty. The secret is going to the back patio in the late afternoon and enjoy your sandwhich and the ocean. I highly recommend if you are in the area to try one of their sandwiches.

I’ve been to this place before and a friend gave me a gift card to this place for a favor I did. So drove there fromSan Clemente with a friend(my treat w/the giftcard). We got there and waiting about 15 – 20 minutes in line. Ordered our food and presented the giftcard. The cashier responds that they don’t honor gift cards, she was very rude about it. I asked her why not and she said«cause we don’t». I explained that it was a card for services to this place that was already paid for and I didn’t understand why they wouldn’t accept the card for their place of business. I asked for the manager and she said she was in charge and to either pay cash or credit card or move out of the way so she can help the next person. My friend and I just couldn’t believe it. I chose to leave because of this lady, wasn’t even wearing a name tag. This experience has cost them a customer.

Customer service was great and the sandwiches were good! I got the Irene Energizer and my husband got the Mercedes dealer, both were very good. Also, there’s a nice back patio you can sit on and see the ocean.

I ordered a 9″ sandwich on squaw bread. The sandwich is maybe 4 – 5 inches long tops. I would understand if they charged me for a 6″ but I got charged for a 9″ and got this. The sandwich is mediocre too. They totally ripped me off!!!
