Fog City Hookah Lounge

I came here on 5−1−16 Sunday11:45pm’sh. My friend was throwing his first karaōke gig at this lounge, definitely a great sound system. I bought a stella beer for $ 5 and midori sour for $ 8. There was a fair amount of persons in this bar smoking hookah and singing songs. There’s a designated stage which I had to walk a few steps up, there are couple of tables on that level. I also met up with few of my friends.

Came here around 11pm on a Saturday night
I called ahead of time to see if there were any tables open
Lady who answered says no… still gave it a try and headed out
Pretty packed for a Saturday night
There is a cover of $ 5 just to get in (weaaak.)
Serve drinks at the bar; About $ 8-​$ 9 for a drink (pretty expensive considering this is just a hookah lounge)
Mix hookah flavors ranges from $ 19.99 to glass hookahs for $ 25.99
The DJ has a good variety of music he plays throughout the night, I think he mostly goes for whatever the crowd is into.
Customer service could be worked on; we seriously waited 20 minutes just to get our hookah on table, and another 20 minute wait for someone to come around and finally give our coals to use.
So we basically didn’t get to start burning our hookah until after 40 minutes wait! Ridiculous.
We had to go up to the people at the bar just so we could ask for coals or tongs to use. They didn’t have enough tongs to give out for every table, so we had to borrow one from the table next to us.

Recently went here for my birthday with a few of my friends. Hookah was good. I love the seating, it’s next to other groups but it’s separated at the same time. I think they should definitely have another bartender cuz it takes a long time to get drinks when there’s a few people waiting. The bartender made the drinks quickly once it was our turn.

Awesome for a Wednesday night, 10 bux per person for unlimited hookah after 9 is great. Music was on point As well.

This hookah bar charges an ENTRY fee!!! We paid $ 5 each to go inside and find that there is NOWHERE to sit. The owners didn’t care — so long as we already paid our dues! They did not make any effort to seat us or take our order.
They tried to manipulate us into paying $ 175 plus for VIP seats and bottle service. We were ready to walk out and they stopped us, saying they found us seats! So they moved the people who were seated there INTO the VIP section for no charge, and walked US over to a tiny bench with room for 2 people, and we were a party of 6! They did not even ask us what flavor hookah we want to order.
We got up and left! They refused to refund us and we didn’t even get to smoke. Bad business all around.

This place is awesome! We decided to celebrate my friends birthday here on a Saturday night. There was a 5 dollar cover fee to get inside.
But the best part was… Alcohol and hookah together in one place. There are no lounges that I know of nearby that do this. It’s so difficult to get an alcohol license for a hookah bar so I’m glad they were able to do that.
On top of that there is a dance floor. and the DJ plays some really good songs! No alcohol on the dance floor though.
There’s a lot of room to sit plus they have two VIP booths as well.
I’ll be back. But not for a while since this place is a drive for me: p

I dont get how this bar/​hookah lounge has 5 stars. If only i can put NO star! The only hookah lounge ive been to that charges entrance fee. After we paid $ 5 entrance fee the security guard told us «good luck finding a seat, its full.» WHAT THE HECK?! and then when we went inside they were trying to get us a VIP table for $ 175 (a bottle and a hookah). We told the guy that we only came for hookah but was still trying to force us get the VIP table. So I was like, its cool we’re just gonna to a different hookah lounge. As we were walking out, some guy stopped us and said «come back, ill find a seat for you guys». So we were like, okay fine lets still give this place a try. When we got to our table there was not enough space for 6 people! (The place was so small!) Waited for the guy to come back to our table and take our order, BUT NO. He was walking around talking to other customers like we were not there. WE GOT UP AND LEFT!
How you gonna expect customers to come back if you treat them like that?
Never going back!

I’ve actually been lagging on a review for this place so here it goes!
Been here about 2 times already and parking is very easy since you can just park at the bank right behind this place, ladies careful with your heels! Lots of cracks around!
Not sure what the price is to get in since my friend paid for me but I think it’s just $ 5… Or $ 10.
Once your inside the bar is right there to your left side. Again, my friend paid for my drinks so I can’t tell you about the price range there. But the hookah is eh… If you do get a hookah you should make sure it is smokey enough and it’s a good flavor because mine wasn’t all that great but it’s okay because the worker gave us a free refill!
So the place is very small… Very small… Good luck finding a place to sit at when it’s crowded! You guys clearly need more seats!!! But then again it’s a small location so I understand.
I’ve only been here on Saturdays and I love when they play the Latin music that makes you want to get out in the middle to dance !!! Loved it! But then they play the traditional music for a while and not many people are dancing during that time.
Overall it’s a pretty cool spot for drinks and hookah.

Great ambiance, nice service and nice hip hop music! I’ll definitely come back for a night out with friends.
We came here on a Thursday night so it wasn’t too crowded so we could actually talk to each other :) ! It’s nice to keep the volume low enough for guests to enjoy their time together.
Just wish there had a minimum of food (paninis, sandwiches etc).

Pretty awesome spot for a night out in Dailly City. Upon entering, In initially its the bar space with long counter and some barstools, not to crowded and well lit.
Then motion towards the back and it open up into a big lounge with a stage for live DJ and seating with tables to the left of the space. in the center of the spaced is a makeshift dance floor, not to big not to small, and to the right is the lounge area. If there is a demand for more seating then the dance floor gets smaller.
The lounge is dark, loud and full of crazy laser/​light show of various colors. Best part is the DJ knows how to mix it up. Plenty of today’s hits, old school classic, and sneaks in some middle eastern/​bollywood culture. Defininantly Bay Area mixed vibe.
All the employees are kind and approachable and always on the move carefully weaving though the crowd with fresh coals.
Full bar and Hookah menu is amazing. New hookah spot for me for sure!

I LOVE this hookah lounge! I’ve been during the week when there is very few people, good music (like top hits), and it makes for a chill relaxing hangout spot and I’ve been there on a Saturday night when the place is packed with people on the dance floor and the music is so loud you cant hear what your friends are saying.
The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I’m not a huge fan of rap music and the crowd it attracts… Ghetto. It’s just not my scene. So far I’ve noticed it like this on the weekend. Everything else is awesome!
Another time I went there on a Friday night around 8 or 9 so it wasn’t that busy yet and they were playing hella good EDM. I think it was a dj actually. It was AWESOME! Me and my friends love some good electronic music to dance to.
They recently just redid the furniture too, I love it. Very comfortable, chic and appealing to the eye.
One last thing is the owner deserves a shout out. He is very kind and takes good care of the customers. He is a pretty cool guy and maybe that’s why this place is so awesome!

Came really early on a Friday because I wanted to relax and enjoy some Hookah, to my surprise this was during happy hour so I was super surprised to see the 2 IPAs and the blended hookah mix that I picked was only ~$ 20ish. Fog, giant projector screen, disco balls, full bar, lots of hookah choices, plenty of seating, loved it.
Staff is very attentive, comes by and ashes off (sorry, don’t know proper hookah terminology) or replaces the coals if needed. And I love how the guy did it, had this what I can only call a doohickey that was gold and he put the coals in there and shook it until they were firey orange again and then put them back on my hookah. Next hit full of flavor mmm.
Can’t wait to do some dancing here! I can dance twice as hard with disco balls and colored lasers so it will be pretty epic.

This place is awesome! After looking for a place to hookah in the city, we decided to depart from our usual Laguna café, and our one time Arabian nights (due to my getting bronchitis after my visit there, yikes) and try this place. The hookah is absolutely delicious and they are not stingy with the coals! We had a white gummy, ambrosia, lemon mint mix and later had a custom house mix, both of which were amazing! Also, a full bar? Who could ask for more! Incredibly refreshing, especially since most places in SF don’t have a liquor license.
This place used to be a Mexican dive bar, and still very much feels like it, with even the old sign still out front. The minus one star is reflective of the place not being fully up to date and still looking unfinished, but everything else is on point! It was extremely slow until about 10:30 when the larger groups started to arrive and the crowd was VERY diverse, so to speak. There was a live DJ who eventually got the crowd going, and the drinks were great. Will definitely be back soon!

Love this spot! Finally there’s a hookah lounge with a full bar. The customer service here is great! The employees are super friendly and always make sure we are taken care of. I love coming here after a long day. It’s a great place to have a drink and hookah after a long day of work on a weekday and also an awesome place to come on a weekend. The owner is super friendly and treats everyone like family. The DJ is great as well! There’s hookah, full bar, and a dance floor. What more can you ask for?! Overall, I totally recommend this place for any occasion. I definitely plan on having my birthday party here.

Pretty dead, but it is a Tuesday. Came to kill time, a bit overwhelmed by the smell of hookah but it’s not too bad. Overall, pretty laid back

This place came highly recommended from a friend and I decided to check it out. I was not disappointed.
Fogcity has a calm and welcoming ambiance with relaxing music and excellent service. The hookah was reasonably priced, had good flavor, and hit well and the staff were attentive to insuring its quality.
Many hookah spots start out well but get complacent and the quality suffers. As long as this place stays true to its quality, they will have me as a loyal customer!
