Honestly, this location gives whataburger a bad name. Employees are extremely rude, argumentative and completely incompetent. Shame, shame.

I’ve given this location several tries simply because it’s the closest location to work but this is literally the worst service of any fast food restaurant I have ever been to. Do NOT go here if you have 30 minutes or less to get through the drive through. It’s ONLY this location that I ever issues no across town and it will be faster

I wouldn’t normally write a review for Whataburger but this one made me so mad! One night in the drive through I ordered a patty melt combo, no cheese with an extra drink to take home. Of course like all Whataburgers there was a line and it was taking forever. When I finally got to the window(only one window was open) the cashier reviewed my order«patty melt, etc etc». I reminded him I wanted no cheese. He hesitated & said yeah yeah, got it. *Side Eye* So he hands me my bag and drinks and I pull away. I want a sip of soda so I check the bag for a straw and they forgot two straws! I go back in the lobby and get 2 myself. I get home and low and behold my sandwich has cheese. Lied right to my face. My receipt didn’t have the request either. Ugh!

What the BURGER This place is all kinds of horrible. After a night out with the hubby our teenage daughter who stayed behind at the hotel text to ask if we could bring her a burger. We searched while heading to the hotel and the only place in route and open was this place. When I say this place is UNPROFESSIONAL and SLOW. We walked in and the people waiting on food looked as if they were going to die or were DEAD from hunger. We approached the counter and the young lady(I use this term very loosely because she was far from lady like) just looked at us, no Welcome can I take your order nothing just a dry stare. I had to initiate the process by asking if she was open and available to take my order. She replied with a dry and aggravated YEAH. I proceeded to order and pay. No THANKS, HAVE A GOODNIGHT, NOTHING. At this time the LONGDRAWN out wait with a side show began. The characters on staff and patronizing this place put on a entire theatrical experience that wasn’t worth our viewing pleasure and absolutely wasn’t worth our time. The wait game was REAL for a order of fries and a burger for our teenager NODRINK which could only take 52seconds to make if they made them behind the counter. Once we got called for our order(14minutes later) the order was incorrect and we had to wait again because they put things on the burger that we requested were not on the burger and our teen would not give the burger the time of day if those items touched the burger so we had to wait another 15minutes(YAY). Horrible PLACE won’t return EVER

Worst! Absolute worst whataburger I’ve been to! I understand they get busy and yes there was a large crowd ordering in front of us. My group of 6 people waited 1 hour to get our food inside the dining room. The large group in front of us got their food, ate and left. Even the people who ordered after us got their food. Heck, the to-go orders got their food within 30 minutes. I will not come back to this whataburger and do not recommend this one. I think I’ll email corporate about this. If you value time, go to another whataburger.

If you value your time at all this is the nut low of fast food joints. I am not talking about Whataburger in general. I am simply talking about this exact location. It blows my mind that so many people go to this location and willingly wait 1hr+ in the drive thru on a Friday/Saturday night when they could just go to Taco Cabana ½ a block down on the service road and get their food within 2 to 5 minutes or go to Fuel Town at Inwood and 35. Sure, whataburger has some good specialty fast food burgers, but it’s still supposed to be FAST food. I have given this place multiple shots and it is always SLOW. BTW, Whataburger is slow in general. I realize this as I ate at the one in Gainesville, TX nearly every night for close to a year. However, this location is WAYYYYYYYY slower than any other Whataburger I’ve ever been too. Nowadays, if I really really really want a Whataburger I’ll drive an extra 5 minutes and go to the one on I-30 instead(there is also one on I-35 and Regal Row which can’t be any worse than this location). The last time I went to this location there were 8 to 10 cars in the drive thru(ie going all the way out into the parking lot). I waited for 15 minutes and the line had not moved ATALL. Who knows how long that vehicle had been at the window when I got there but I left because my time is too valuable to wait in line behind 8 cars when it is taking more than 15 minutes to serve one vehicle. I drove 1 minute to the Taco Cabana, and picked up my food in under 5 minutes. I drove back by whataburger on the backside(riverfront/irving blvd) and I shit you not the line had still not moved. I feel bad for people that live their lives just sitting in lines whether it’s at Walmart or at this Whataburger. Time really is money and even if you only make around minimum wage if you have to wait in line for an hour you are essentially doubling the price of your meal while lowering your own quality of life.

This was the slowest drive-thru I’ve ever been in, hands down. We waited for almost 30 minutes… So much for«fast food». Never coming back.

Waiting over 30 minutes at a «fast food» restaurant when it’s not very busy is unacceptable. And when I asked about the food politely, I was told«we got you,» but I am still waiting as I type this. I can say without a doubt that I will never come to a Whataburger ever again.

If you have a known problem at a restaurant and choose not to fix it, then something is wrong. Way too often I’m working hard until late in the night and really«need» to grab something quick and unhealthy, and Whataburger is on my way home. I consider myself lucky when, like last time, i can make it through the drive through in 20 minutes. I’ve waited as long as 50 minutes before. Despite the unbearable wait times, the food hits the spot when dinner was 7 hours ago and you’ve «earned it». Last time my milk tasted funky, though(that’s right; I drink milk), and the expiration date on it was nearly 3 months in the future. I didn’t think cows could even do that…

Should be called«Whatawait»…only one other car in the drive through. They had one of the two lanes blocked off. And we still waited forever on Tea and fries. It was good but couldn’t believe we had to wait so long on a simple order…

Worst whatabutger I have ever been to in my life!!! We waited for our food for 30 mins to come to cold food and burgers that were made wrong. The food was so cold the cheese wasn’t even melted on the burger. I then tell them that my burger was wrong they said they could remake it ask if they wanted my receipt she said no. They bring my remake burger out and it’s wrong again. Neverrrrrrrr againnnnnnnnnnnn!!! Never again! Never!

The food is OK, actually. I found the sandwich bun too bready and dense, but that can be good under certain(drunk or hungover) circumstances. Sandwich innards were fine. The sandwich itself was ~50% too big, but that’s a point of company pride and, hey — Texas. Fries were fine, but could be crispier outside. You get the picture — definitely OK. What I dig is the institution, the open-24-hrs, and that people just know to call it ‘waterburger’. The t-shirts and catsup are alright, but it’s the whole rich tapestry that is Whataburger that makes you look forward to it when you visit Texas(and wherever else they happen to be).

What-a-Burger had decent food. However, the wait time at this location was extremely long. By time I got three blocks to the hotel I was staying at, the food was cold. The staff was nice and apologetic for the wait.

Whataburger if you are from Texas you know all about them. They have very good burgers almost always fresh and hot made to order with good fries and onion rings. This location I stop in the morning to grab a quick breakfast. The store is very clean and bright the service is very good and fast. It is great place to stop before work because you can be in and out in no time. I like the Breakfast on a Bun, and the Taquitos. You can never go wrong with breakfast.

I was salivating my entire week in Dallas every single time we passed a Whataburger. My virginity was busted by this chain in Phoenix, and I have desired one ever since. Their concept is really simple: serve a good burger. I had two kinds: green chili and regular. I preferred the regular burger. The bun is soft, and everything was so fresh and tasty. I am having a moment right now just writing this down. The drawback to a lot of places in Dallas, this chain included, is that they all use Styrofoam. They need to cut that crap out.

I dont have high expectations but getting raw fries takes the trophy. I come to this whataburger because its near work. I should really stop, service is slow thru the drive thru. Drive thru service has really gone downhill. Ive had wrong orders. Not getting my card back. And now undercooked food… Ive. Been to the lobby once and the service was superb.
