Wendy Krispin Caterer

Not recommended. The food served was not at all what I had expected. I had been at a party where they had catered before and the food seemed so much better. Perhaps it was because I had had a small party.
The beef was served on a little white plate off to the side. The only thing that seemed in large quantity were the quesadillas. The shrimp wrapped in bacon was very dry.
The only reason why I am giving this three stars is because both the bartender and server were very impressive. Much of the food was supposedly prepared in my garage? One has to wonder where and for whom the food had really been prepared for.

I hosted two events on two different day at Baylor college this week and Wendy Krispin came though big time. I couldn’t believe the value we got. We got hot lunches in chafing dishing, salads, and desert for about $ 10 per person. That included delivery, table clothes, plates, forks, knifes, and serving tools. They delivered the food on time and showed up looking professional. Her staff was extremely pleasant and helpful to work with as well. Additionally, they followed up with me several times before the event to make sure details were 100% right. At the end of the week my customers were asking me for her cards so I hope she gets some referrals from the business.
I used Unilocal to find some catering a many companies turned me away because of my budget and quality of people I was needing food for. I have managed restaurants before and was surprised to hear they wouldn’t work with me. Doesn’t matter to me though because I will never use anyone else for catering in the Dallas area.

Such a wonderful experience. The staff is OUTSTANDING. The catering was tasteful, well presented, the staff was friendly, professional and prompt, and it made things run so smoothly. Every person I worked with was amazing.

Absolutely amazing! Not only was the food superb but the service was stellar. One of the best things I heard from my guests after the wedding was how attentive the staff was. Everyone always had a drink or water in their glass, and were constantly asked if they needed anything else. The bartenders we also had were fabulous not only at making all of the guests drinks but were just really nice and fun people. In my opinion Wendy Krispin is the première caterer for any event that you want not only phenomenal food but a whole experience with phenomenal service!

I am shocked that Unilocal does not have more reviews for Wendy! We based all our wedding decisions by referrals and word of mouth. Consider this my shout out! Wendy Krispin needs to be a part of your catering tasting.

Our first impression was the cost — great! Then of course, the food — absolutely amazing! We are having the pecan crusted chicken and the tilapia for our meats. I’m not a big ‘caesar salad’ fan, but fell in love with that too! The hibiscus tea — made by Wendy and not your ordinary tea — a must have for the wedding, especially for the non-​drinkers.
You can tell her and her staff have been in the business for quite some time. This will show when you meet her. All in all, I refuse to miss my meal on our wedding day!

I worked with Wendy to throw a 50^th birthday party for my partner this past weekend. She did a great job! Several guests commented on the bartender and servers. They were attentive and friendly. Carrie, the event manager, stayed on top of the details and did a great job with the space layout (food stations, tables, etc). We used their Royal Sixty space off of the Design District. It’s a convenient, location, has crisp but warm décor, and it worked great for a dinner party for 50 guests –with ample space for a DJ and an entertainer (whom we hired separately). Wendy came up with fun themes for each food station relating to the Birthday Boy’s stages in life and the chef pulled these off nicely. She also prepared a special dish for vegetarian guests which they appreciated. The birthday cake (chocolate) was really good. Overall a very professional job, quality staff and a great space. The party was a hit!

I have chaired several fundraisers over the past few years and the guest list is minimum 100. I have tried out several catering companies including some of the chain restaurant catering depts (I know — slap my wrists) and Krispin blows them all away. I’ve been in the restaurant biz for decades — my family owned a restaurant and I’ve worked for some of the biggest casual dining companies, and this is one of the classiest operations I’ve seen. From her initial visit to assess what needs to be done to clean up after the event, you can rest assured that all details will be taken care of. Her service isn’t cheap but if it was you wouldn’t get the quality of service and food she provides. I can’t recommend this business enough. Luv ya, Wendy!

I used to work in catering so I understand how hard it is. The first five bites I was like– yumm-​o. Then the 6^th bite of salad I was like woah this has officially moved on to way too sweet. The meat eaters in the group said the same thing about the citrus chicken. I am a purist so I enjoyed the grilled veggies, even though they had little to no seasoning. Everyone in my office enjoyed the various sides – orzo, muffins, etc.
However, they had a great desserts. We had a tiramasu brownie, chocolate chip cookies, and fudge covered various flavor cheesecakes. Everyone was very happy with the desserts and the overall presentation was very well done.
