Beware of shopping here! I purchased 5 items and ALL of the sale prices were NOT reflected at the register! The customer does not have a screen to view as items are scanned. When the total seemed way too high and I asked to see the prices that were rung up, the employee couldn’t turn the screen around for me to see and had to read back the prices that were registered. One item that rang up as regular price should have been $ 10 less on sale. Another 2 items that were buy one — get one 40% off both rang up at full price. She called the manager over who nonchalantly changed the prices at the register and then sauntered off. No apology and certainly no reasurrance that the prices would be fixed in the system. My friend registered here for her baby shower and the prices were steep considering what you were getting. $ 60 scored me muslin swaddle blankets, Gerber baby onezies and a gift bag. If you’ve got one on the way or know someone who is expecting, I’d like to think there are places that are bit more reasonable when it comes to prices. The store was huge and the selection was impressive, however. They literally have everything in here. Just note that it might be a hassle trying to find something specific if you can’t find someone to help you, which is pretty likely at this large but somewhat understaffed location.

We came into Toys R Us looking for a retro Pacman emulator and were immediately greeted by a sales associate asking if we needed help. We said we didn’t and looked for the product ourselves. After aimlessly searching we decided to leave the store. On our way out, we passed the same sales associate and decided to ask for help. He was extremely helpful. He walked us back to the section, radioed another associate asking, and looked himself. When we couldn’t find it on the shelves he offered to look in backstock for it. They didn’t have it in backstock, and he offered to check other local stores to see. He told us the specific numbers of the product in other stores and asked if we wanted him to call and put it on hold for ourselves. I haven’t been to a Toys R Us since I was a child, but I was very impressed by the customer service. It was a positive experience despite them not even having what we were looking for.

It’s a toy store, what else do you want me to say? It’s overpriced compared to Amazon, but now that you have to pay tax on Amazon, it’s at least worth checking out and doing some price comparisons.

I found the store to be well stocked and the customer service very nice. I returned some board games I bought at another location. They were opened but we didn’t like them and they returned them no hassle or questions asked.

Yes, I know, shopping here can be difficult. Especially if you’re looking for a specific item. This place keeps its costs down by only having one to three employees in the store at any time. People at the cash register know absolutely nothing about what’s in the store. BUT, once in awhile you’ll find someone that knows everything there is to know about every toy and exactly where it is. Now THAT’S a 5 star day in this place! So why 4 stars? Well fellow Unilocalers, if you have a kid, this is the go-to place for what they want! Period! And now that they’ve sort of merged with Babies R Us, if you have an infant, this place is heaven! Serious one-stop shopping! I love taking my kid here on a Saturday morning and letting him go up and down the aisles looking at all this. .. . junk! He loves it and is so overwhelmed we mostly walk out empty-handed, or with a $ 5 trinket. So really, I love Toys R Us. Yes, it can be a frustrating experience, but if you bring your kid here often enough, he or she will get to know the store better than the employees!

My second one star of the week. A new low. However, Toys R Sucks as I call them, deserves it. This place is a BEATING. Went there to find Zibits which in ads, says available at Toys R Sucks. Checked the TRS website. Bingo. Get to TRS, and no luck. Asked sales associate number one, who said, NO, we don’t have them. Since my Boy had his heart set on them, and was upset, but this emphatic NO, I went to the another associate who said, YES, they do have them, check aisle X. We went and checked aisle X and nada. Decided to go to the customer service/help desk to ask, and on the way met yet another associate and asked. They said, maybe. At the help desk, I asked the lady, who said, I don’t know, and got on the phone and called someone, who said, I kid you not, look it up online. The help desk lady actually turned around and said, I’m going to look it up online. I told her I had already done that at home and could do it again, on my robot phone, if needed, and if it would get me her hourly wage since I was doing what she did. She didn’t think that was funny. At that point, my Youngest Son said, Toys R Sucks is right Dad and we left the beating, drove home and ordered Zibits from Amazon. How these guys stay in business is beyond me. I guess they are the only game in town.
