Great food and really friendly staff. This was my first time there so the cashier and staff all shouted out a big greeting and welcome. The menu offers a good variety of choices from fried catfish(as the name suggests) to chicken, shrimp and even some healthy options. Lots of things are battered and deep fried to perfection. One of my group got a po’ boy that looked great and he certified as delicious. The owner made sure to check on us and let us know how much he appreciated our business. I recommend checking it out and enjoying a local gem of a place.

I’ve been a very happy customer for the past 4 years. The lunch special was the best part of my day. About a month ago when I ate the lunch special it was the same as always. 2 plump catfish fillets with two sides. Today I expected no less for the same price. However, I am disappointed to say my experience was far below normal. The 2 lunch specials has dried up thin pieces of catfish. All I tasted was extremely crispy batter. I’m very sad to report I will not be purchasing the lunch special anymore.

This place is heaven! Walking in and it smells great! I have not had catfish this good in years. My co-worker called ahead which was fantastic because we got the lunch special. We had the 2 fillets, fries, and toast. In addition we had the oh so sweet and tasty kool-aid! I am already trying to plan the next time we can go. This is a little place of heavenly catfish and a must try. You should most definitely try it.

This is easily in the top five best catfish places in town, without a doubt. When the pretty lady behind the counter recommends the peach cobbler, take it!

My husband took me to this resturant today. Its not the most updated fancy place you have ever seen, but the food was very good. When i saw our food coming i didnt think i would finish it. I had the lunch special. It tasted like my moms cooking. It wasnt greasy and it was full of flavor, but not heavy in my stomach. I had green beans, fries, and corn fritters. I didnt like the fries, but i ate EVERYTHING else! When i feel like eatting fish, i will not be getting it from anywhere else.

Had never heard, of this place, until we Unilocaled it… ir has a warm, friendly, snd family feel to it. What a quaint little place this is… the dining room is not too large and not small, the staff is friendly. and efficient. They are very motivational, and are people persons! They are also sale desserts, didn’t try any but the lunch special and kool-aid, was very good. I left full, favored, and filled… Snappy’s has a returning customer for sure.

Bathroom Condition: Didn’t use Dining Area: The dining area was fine but I have to admit that there were too many wobbly tables, the chairs were uncomfortable and there was only one tv which didn’t have caption on. The place was clean and there was plenty of places to sit. The booth were ok which is where we sat. Customer Service: I didn’t participate in the order but based on my observation. The cashier didn’t smile, failed to offer menu recommendations, failed to ask us if we wanted a drink, the customer service was average(not good or bad just regular). The Food: The lunch special is what we ordered which was two fillets, two sides(double fries) and we also added a koolaid drink for .99. The fish was good !!! Not the best but definitely made it on the list for #2. Everything was hot. I don’t think they doubled the fried because it was maybe 15 fries which to me is one portion. The koolaid was homemade and good. The Price and Restaurant Style: 5.99 for two nice size fillets and 2 sides is fair. .99 cents for a 16oz homemade koolaid is cheap ! Most drinks anywhere are usually 1.59+. The restaurant style is similar to fast food whether you’re dining in or not. Your receipt will have a number on it and you will just go get your food from the counter when they call it. Environment: I’m new to Dallas but based on my coworkers words West Dallas is hood. The restaurant doesn’t have any interesting decorations just plain with wobbly tables, chairs and few booth. It was pretty quiet although it was lunch hour. Overall: I rate this place average but the fish was really good though. If I come back my food will be to go.

I was so sad when I drove by Snappy’s old place on Westmoreland and saw that it was shut, but then I was thrilled to see they’d moved to Singleton. I’m so happy the restaurant is growing. Very nice staff, friendly owner, great food. Best catfish lunch special in Dallas. Sides are always great. I love the corn and fries. Tartar sauce is fantastic; it has a little kick to it.

Nice staff and welcome. Tables were dirty, but they were busy. HOWEVER the catfish was perfect and the cajon tarter sauce was amazing!!! They forgot to give me my pickle and pepper with meal :(They could offer better sides… like black eyed peas, cheese grits or greens… not everyone especially me, likes fries and toast. I did order the sauteed veges and they were not so good. I would come back for catfish only.

Terrible customer service, rude staff, nice to white people, but treat their own kind with attitude. I’ve been put on hold longer than 5 minutes many times until I finally hung up. I’ve called in orders 20 minutes prior to arriving 3x and when I arrived it wasn’t ready for another 15 – 20 minutes. Today marked the last day which I would patronize this ungrateful establishment. While the food was good, I’m sure I can find another place just as sufficient that has positive attitudes at the front counter & that appreciate my business. I will not be returning.

Very friendly, energetic, and helpful staff! Was my first time at Snappy’s today and i got their fried catfish/friend shrimp basket that did not disappoint. The batter and homemade tartar sauce was absolutely delicious! I already want to go back for dinner, too. If you’re looking for some great cooking for lunch, their lunch special would be difficult to beat. I wish them nothing but the best and cant wait till next time!

I found Snappy’s on Unilocal last week and went back 3 days straight to try something different every visit. The servers greet you when you enter. The service and food are good! Good size servings for the money.

My husband went in to get a to-go order for the both of us and our little one. The foods was great. The best catfish We’ve have tasted since we’ve lived here in the Dallas area-5yrs. The food was fresh. was not salty. not dry.fresh.seasoned well! The serving size was great. Not too much not too little. He spoke to the owner… he was very kind and got the first timer welcome and ordered the lemon cake which was good. We will be back to take our oldest in a few days lol! Yummy yummy!!!

Best fried REAL catfish in the DFW. The fried coating is crispy and obviously homemade. Their tartar sauce tastes like five grandmas are in the back just servin’ up love with that stuff! Everything is made to order, so call ahead of time if you’re in a hurry. This place gets PACKED for lunch.

Snappy’s is going to be my post barber shop stop now. The help was pleasant. As the door closed behind me someone yelled«welcome to snappy’s.» They didn’t have have the minimum wage attitude. They seemed like they cared about my satisfaction. It showed in the presentation and taste. The fish and shrimp basket I got tasted as if it just came off the boat. Great seasoning to boot. I can’t say it was perfect though. There was the fact that their prices are a bit higher than I’d like. I would have liked a combination backer with shrimp & catfish but it wasn’t offered. There was the option to add a shrimp as an a la carte option but a 3⁄2 basket would work there. I’ll be back though.
