Same great food, horrible service, they take forever to seat you and forever to take your order, just be prepared for a very long wait on everything, we watched as the restaurant was not full and a poor couple had to wait 15 minutes just to get seated. Step it up people!

This place was super busy on a Sunday around 11:30 am. We got the dutch baby, sausage, pancakes and a side of bacon. Dutch baby was good, sausage was nothing to rave about, pancakes were OK, and bacon was dry. Boo, maybe another location will be better.

The pancakes were delicious, but the $ 3.19 bowl of watered down instant grits left a lot to be desired. They need to take off the menu.

If we could give negative stars this place would get it. They seem to hire 14 year old kids that don’t have a clue, the place is over priced, the portions are small and if you have your choice why would you ever select this place over Angela’s? The only thing good about this place is their bacon is legit, only go if all your getting is bacon …to go and you… called ahead and… paid ahead. Other than that don’t do it because they will find a way to screw it up.

Different town, been a few years, figure I would give OPH another try. I have concluded that required training for the entire chain must be «Incompetent Hosting». This knowledge makes it easier for future travels. No matter where I go, OPH can always be skipped.

Food was delicious. They really give a lot when you think of the price. There is also a lot to choose from. The place is usually packed in the mornings, so there is usually a wait, but it’s not too bad. Service was also nice. I think we had a new guy, but it looked like he was trying.

While this place is certainly better than the local IHOP, the weekend crowd is just enough to deter this regular patron. I enjoy the pancakes mostly, but the corned beef is tasty as well. It isn’t a very large portion, but the hash is my favorite here. However, they put the accompanying egg right on top of the hash, which I promptly scrape off and pass to my significant other. Do get a coffee. It’s very tasty.

As others have mentioned this place has been going down hill. The food is mostly still good but even dutch babies and the best bacon in town can’t make up for feeling unwelcome and ignored from arrival to departure. This on a slow week day. Next time we have a hankerin’ I think we’ll try one of their other locations.

Original Pancake House is one of my favorite breakfast spots. The menu is reasonable diverse, and the quality of the ingredients is very high. On the weekends, the line is out the door, and service is usually very quick.

So glad my cousin found this place. There I a lot of people but once you are seated the staff was very courteous. A nice gentlemen gave us on if their famous dishes for the table on the house! What a warm welcoming! The food was delicious, everything we ordered was on point. Great service! Food delicious!

Today was the first time I have been to this place. This rocked my socks and I will go again. My only advice is GETTHEREEARLY. We had to wait a while because it is Labor Day and was around 11ish in the morning so that was to be expected. My only complaint is the I-Pad sign in/text. I just do not feel like it can be that reliable. I think some people waiting outside may have been jipped lol but I could be wrong. I did have the Mediterranean Omelette and it was pretty good! Four eggs that is what’s up and that kept me full all day. I am a big eater so omelette lovers should try their omelettes. My best friend loved the jalapeño one. My son LOVED the sausage and pancakes. We will be back! :)

My husband and I have become recently frustrated with OPH. You no longer pay at the counter, so you end up waiting forever!!! The last two times we have been in, our servers have been absolutely horrible and RUDE!!! I feel very unwelcome. No greeting, no introduction. It’s just«you want drinks?» This exact phrase was actually thrust at us on our last visit, the first words our server spoke to us! I don’t even know either servers name from our last visits because seriously they would plop things down on our table and not even pause but just walk away. No it was not that busy as there were empty tables but previously when we had great service, it was packed! It’s just rude, bad servers. I often end up having to ask another staff member for things like cream or tobasco. Our last visit(this last weekend) was the worst. Both of our eggs were disgusting. They were scrambled but not in the traditional sense. They had bits of what was like«onion skin» type flakes all over, like the eggs were spread paper thin and then burned and then«scrambled». It was awful. My sausage links were BURNED and I mean burned. Was like eating charred wood. Pancakes were fine but the rest of the breakfast was terrible. And our waitress just couldn’t be bothered to check on us or come refill my coffee so no one ever knew that the food was bad. I waited a good 10 minutes after my first few bits to try to flag her down but she just avoided eye contact and never came back except way later to drop the bill. When we previously visited, we often saw a manager who was very involved in the running of things and it showed. Now, we never see one. Also, everyone seems to be confused with the new iPad based seating system. We always end up being called and then are told«I don’t know who called you. Your name isn’t even here. How many?» After we’ve been waiting for 15 – 20 minutes already. Then, when we are already done eating I get a text«your table is ready» Gee, thanks. All in all, we loved you OPH but you’re a mess now. Your service is terrible, your restaurant is chaos, and I just can’t be bothered to deal with you anymore. Very very disappointed.

My wife and I have been coming to various OPH locations since we’ve been married; we love the food and usually the service is great. However, on this occasion, I entered at 10:30a by myself and was met with a roll of the eyes when I mentioned that I was alone. They sat me at a booth with a menu… It was 15 minutes before I saw a waiter in the dining room and another 5 by the time a waiter came to speak with me. He was the most unfriendly waiter I’ve had in a long time. The food did come out promptly which was nice and it is the same good quality food as I’ve come to expect.

This is my first visit. I ordered an omelet, but when it comes to my table I’m very shocked because I’ve never seen an omelet that looked like a soufflé. The manager explained how they cook it like that on purpose. I went ahead and ate it, but I wouldn’t order it again. The French Toast could of used some cinnamon and sugar too. But, since I like the service and the coffee I’ll give them another try. Maybe waffles next time… #theoriginalpancakehouse

Simply great service, but no where near as good as the one in Chicago. That’s just my opinion though. The atmosphere is also less classy. It feels more like iHop. On another note, the French toast was really bad. It was like the soaked some wonder bread in egg whites.

Coffee and Chocolate Chip Pancakes… can you possibly get a better combination? YES! You add bacon. It was with this order that I really appreciated the original pancake house in Dallas. Seriously, that coffee was amazing. The pancakes were filled with tons of chocolate chips to the point where it looked more like a chocolate chip with a side of pancake! With syrup added, it was a sugar overload. Let’s just say I was bouncing off the walls by the time the check came around. A nice breakfast joint, and one I’d try again if I’m in the area.

Well I just hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I did not like this location at all. It’s like what did I do to deserve this less than stellar experience when everyone else had a great experience? I came on an un-crowded Thursday morning. First, there was a man sitting outside on the restaurant’s patio asking if I had a dollar to spare. Can’t say that I do… I walked in and asked for a table. The hostess took me to a side booth and the seats were sticky and dirty. There were three young men that cleaned tables standing around, but apparently they forgot to wipe down the seats. How many men does it take to clean tables? I ordered strawberry pancakes, coffee, and bacon. My bacon was cold, there was a strand of hair on the side of my plate of pancakes, and the coffee was bitter. I really am not in the mood to complain and deal with people in the morning. Besides this place had great reviews and I didn’t want to have to be the one to tear it to shreds so I was kind of trying to give them a pass. Maybe they’re not morning people either. My server was nice though. Definitely come here for the specialty items instead of regular stuff. I was really disappointed that I paid $ 20 for something I could have had at IHOP for $ 10 with lower expectations. If this was IHOP I probably wouldn’t have cared about the dirty seats, hair strand, and cold bacon, but it’s not so I won’t be back.
