This is by far my favorite place for pancakes. My blueberry pancakes were wonderfully fresh and delicious. I’m always a sucker for bacon and hash browns, so the trio was a gastronomical delight. To top it all off, I was blessed with a most polite, informed and attentive server named Kelly. Thanks Kelly — you really should be a customer service trainer, you’re a natural. Loved it!

I actually wanted to go to Breadwinners but ended up coming here because of the long wait. I got the fiesta omelette with a short stack and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. When you first walk in it looks sort of like a run down diner. It was moderately clean but I really think they’d get more people coming through if they fixed it up a bit. All in all its a great place to grab brunch our waiter was incredibly friendly and brought our food out pretty quick. I would definitely come back!

Dutch baby(fluffy crêpe like pancake) and apple pancake were impressive! Wish they had this restaurant in CT where I live!

Parking is a hassle here if it’s really busy(which it’s going to be on a Saturday or Sunday morning/early afternoon). The dishes were great, we got fresh squeezed OJ(delicious), the dutch baby(HUGE and tasted light and amazing), the strawberry pancakes(again HUGE portion), a side of bacon(thick-cut, 2 pieces is plenty) and a side of hasbrowns(perfectly seasoned), along with two fresh coffees. Service was good and for the amount of food we got, prices were decent. I do like how you can more easily check out by taking your check to the front, but I don’t like how hard the desk up front is to get to in order to close out your check when it is so busy. It literally is like a traffic jam when it’s crowded and takes a long time/is uncomfortable with a larger party.

Service was good. Very crowded but that’s to be expected on New Year’s Day. We still didn’t wait that long considering. I had the bacon extravaganza with french toast. Meh. While the bacon was superb, the toast was blah. Cut in half thin white slices and you only get 1.5 slices. Wonder if I could have upgraded to sourdough french toast. Coffee was hot and hit the spot. Friend had the biscuits/gravy/eggs and that was VERY good.

Can’t comment on the food, as I was not seated after an hour of waiting, despite being told it was a 25 minute wait and then being told it would be an additional 25 minutes. It was cold, and the waiting area was packed, and customers were crowded and could bot easily pay their bills. I was verbally abused by Greg, who declined to provide his last name, but did provide the name of the manager, Jose Perez, 2145287215. In addition, I was verbally assaulted with the threat of physical violence relayed by OTHERCUSTOMERS, which was very disconcerting. This branch is very poorly managed, as multiple parties who arrived after us, with the same sized parties being seated prior to us. No food is worth my physical safety. I will not be returning.

If you want an upgrade from IHOP, go to OHOP! Delicious pancakes and egg dishes at an affordable price. I have come here a few times and enjoyed it each time. The eggs dishes come with pancakes, so you can easily share with someone. On my most recent visit, the hubs and I split the huevos con papas and upgraded the buttermilk pancakes to blueberry pancakes. The blueberry pancakes were probably some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Service was good and prices are reasonable. This is not the highest quality food or the best ambience, however for what it is, it’s fantastic. Also, love that they have a huge parking lot. Check it out!

If you want pancakes. or any breakfast food for that matter, this is a great option. I took my boyfriend here for breakfast on his birthday. It was during the week, so we did not have to wait. During the weekends, you will have a wait for sure. The menu has plenty of options. I ordered banana chocolate chip pancakes with 2 sausage links. The pancakes were fluffy and very filling. My boyfriend had some sort of biscuits and gravy benedict. It was also good. The service was friendly. We did wait for our check or a longer than normal time, but other than that everything was great. They have plenty of options, including gluten free pancakes.

We came at 11am on a Saturday & it was really busy. We kept having to ask for straws & napkins. I wasn’t impressed by our waiter at all & granted it was busy that is no excuse, get more staff if that is the case. My eggs were burnt & my daughter found a long piece of hair in her chocolate chip pancakes. I told the manager about the burnt eggs & she initially said it has to be the tortilla… I know what burnt eggs are & if it WAS the tortilla, why is it ok to be serving it to customers? First and last time… Disgusting

Jamie and I did brunch here today, and it was IHOP tier food in a building that was built over 20 years ago and never updated(which it is). Go to IHOP for cheap decent breakfast pancake fare like this, or go to Breadwinners if you want nice breakfast pancake fare, for about the same price as The Original Pancake House. The Great Breakfast Oz has spoken :)

I’ve only been here once but I seriously loved what I got here! I ordered the banana pancakes and they were sweet enough to my liking and could taste the banana chunks in every bite, their syrup is quite good too. My boyfriend ordered the Swedish pancakes and they were pretty good but they seem a little messy and confusing to eat, they’re like an unfolded crêpe. I would go back here just to try their Danish pancakes and hope that I love those even more, besides that I don’t have much else to say. Definitely better than IHOP though that’s for sure, would come back here any free morning that I have!

Let me start by saying I really enjoyed my trip to The Original Pancake house. Now, I wouldn’t take my foodie sister here because it for sure wouldn’t be up to her standards. I think I mostly enjoyed the atmosphere and good cup of coffee. I had the fruit and yogurt French toast and it was delicious. If you are looking for a good home cooked breakfast definitely stop by but expect a decent wait time!

There were 3 different people providing us with anything that we needed so the service was good. Saturday morning at this place was busy like most good breakfast places. I don’t eat pork, the turkey links weren’t the best but I would eat there again to try something else.

Super pumpkin pancakes with great service. Complaint is that the cakes were dollar size and not full size and for 7 $ I expected more. For 8 $ I could have had six dollars instead of the 3 for 6.32.

The food was pretty good today! The reason I don’t give this place the extra star is because the food and service aren’t 100% consistent, the service usually being the area for improvement. I had eggs, bacon, and pancakes today and my wife had the corn beef hash. Her egg was perfectly poached and corn beef has was great. If you love bacon you have to get the bacon here cause it is thick cut and delicious. My son ate 3 of the 4 pieces of bacon I had so I think it’s safe to say he likes the bacon here as well. Coffee is pretty decent here as well and a big plus is that they are bottomless cups of course.

In hopes of impressing my cousin from Canada with some good American breakfast food(what was I thinking? BBQ would have been the right choice!), we stopped on by this Original Pancake House location. The burrito my husband ordered was much smaller than was previously served at other locations and everything except the large apple pancake was just mediocre. However, service was good and I’m glad we were allowed to «call ahead» so that our wait on a Sunday at 11am wasn’t too crazy.

If you need a culinary upgrade from Waffle House with a reasonable price-point, this is your place. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious(no surprise) and come as a side to nearly every entrée. I highly suggest ordering their omelets, though. I ordered the Mediterranean Omelet and was not disappointed. Feta cheese, spinach, olives… MMMMM was it good. And HUGE. You WILL need a box because there’s no way you can consume all that egg in one sitting. The only downside is the service is stunted by their process. The wait staff bring you your check very early in the meal to pay up front. This makes it so that your coffee doesn’t get refilled quickly thereafter. Also, expect children to be around. This isn’t much of a brunch date kind of place– it’s more family oriented.

Their coffee is divine! I drank 5 cups and kept me awake all night! I’m not a big caffeine drinker but I can’t resist their coffee! I had their corned beef hash and eggs which I love, the whole dish was perfection. Our waiter was great, Johnny on the spot with fresh coffee, which, like I said I could not resist. I think I have visited almost all their locations in Dallas now.

Big time fan of OPH! The bacon is what I like most! Haha, I know that’s weird at a pancake place. But I love their bacon cause its thick and crispy. I mean I can eat like a pound of bacon here! Anywho, I truly enjoyed the bacon walffle! I spread all of the butter on the entire walffle and then drench it in the hot maple syrup! Then I cut the walffle into small cubes of 4! Then you must get a side of eggs, extra fluffy! OMG when I take my first bite, its the perfect bite. Pick up the fork and get a extra juicy piece of walffle then on the same fork grab some of the eggs and in your left hand get that side of bacon and then, yes!!! Eat !! Its amazing! Its like yaassss. I can eat all of this in like 5 minutes or less. Then I just sit back and smile! Fresh OJ here! Well after writing this review, I’m ready for another waffle!

It’s no secret that I love OPH. I’ve been to many of their locations, and reviewed them all so there isn’t much I can say that I haven’t already. The Dallas area locations are the best. The waffle batter they use is my favorite and none of the locations outside of Dallas do it the same. The coffee is perfect, it’s served with cold full fat cream and that along with my thin waffle covered in sliced strawberries and fresh whipped cream is just bliss. Yum, yum, yum! My friend hadn’t been before but was excited to get down with some waffles since I talked them up nonstop on the drive here from Ft Worth. She got the pecan one and after one bite understood what I had been talking about. #WaffleBuddiesForLife Everything here is good. Crepes, pancakes, egg dishes, the thick cut bacon. All the things people, all the things.
