First off I’d like to say that for a consignment shop I think the prices in this store could be much more reasonable. Now if you wanna psych yourself out into thinking you got a bargain, or if you have a spouse that bypasses the price question upon hearing the word consignment… go right ahead because this store is so darn adorable! Upon entering I was greeted by one of the kind ladies who worked there and later by the other. Friendly staff! They let you do your own whimsical thing… feel free to twirl in a circle as you browse. They are available for questions if you have any. Not sure how set the prices are. One lady tried to haggle and I think she would have scored a discount if the item she was interested in wasn’t a new arrival. So, I guess it’s worth a shot! They have a pretty cool goat’s milk lotion(natural) line which apparently I fancy because I keep sniffing my hands after trying the tester. Mmm! They have a good mix of modern and vintage which is ironically the new modern. Everything is so clean, dust-free and nicely arranged. You completely forget you’re in a consignment shop. You’ll want to touch everything. There are a few signs on the things that they’d like for you to avoid touching. Lots of wine-related items which I found interesting. Maybe the owner really likes wine? Any way, fun place to browse!

This place has a lot of good furniture and other art pieces. The prices are not as good as they used to be when they were across the street. I’ve bought several pieces of furniture from them. One thing I do like is the price tags include a date that the current price will go down and what that new price will be, so you can choose to buy it then, or take a chance on it still being there in about a month or less. NIcely laid out and always clean.

Prettiest consignment store ever! All the furnishings, art, and accessories are skillfully arranged so it is easy to see a put together room. I have bought several pieces over the years(at least 10 years) and sometimes just go to browse and admire. The owner is frequently present and available to answer questions. I really enjoy shopping here.

I am writing about a selling experience; I have never purchased anything here. That would be difficult as I have never entered the store. If you call, they will tell you that they insist you send them photos of the object you wish to sell, no matter how portable, but don’t tell you where they would like the photos(they actually said, «Well, you could bring photos down here» before offering up an email address; I had to verbally request it). Um, photo ink and paper is expensive, and I’m already doing you the favor of taking detailed photos; no thank you. If you are declined, they do not feel obligated to offer any comments on the piece in question, like what condition they think its in, if they think it is genuine or not, or any other opinion. Hello? When you bring something to a consignment store for sale, it is understood that you are giving them a chance to buy the item in exchange for the promise of information/their opinion. I’m not saying they should give you a free appraisal or anything official or certified or a price even, just a neighborly opinion. They feel like they owe you nothing for your time or for bringing a possible find to their attention. When I specifically asked for their opinion after being declined for purchase, they told me I could look on eBay for price comps and, at a further request, gave me a number for an appraiser. Yeah… I have a computer with the internet and know how to use it thank you very much. This place is VERYSELFINTERESTED and has HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. Take your business elsewhere.

This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! I let my wife go shopping and she came home and told me about a piece of furniture(armoire) that she purchased. We went to look at it and ended up buying ANOTHER piece while we were there. Guess it was more dangerous having me in there than letting her go alone. We ended up loading and delivering the pieces ourself as delivery was available but a little pricey. The ladies in the shop moved everything out of the way and had our pieces very close to the door so we could move them with no problems. Don’t be fooled by one persons bad review. This place is fantastic and I will Def be back(as long as my wife let’s me)! Enjoy all their hidden treasures

Time for an update I’m thinking… These fine folks moved across the street and up’d their game. I love going here and just looking around… I’ve made several purchases now and can tell you that it amazes me how nice stuff here can be. Really people? Did you even use it before you brought it here? Everything is such high quality and you can use layaway if needed. I have done that! I go randomly to see what they have, but sometimes I’m on a mission. If you’re looking for something specific, they can put you on the«watch list» and contact you as soon as something comes in. It also helps them know a customer would be interested in specific types of items. You won’t be disappointed here, you can find new and modern, antique, contemporary, classic… whatever your style is, they will have it. Also, make sure you walk around several times before leaving… this place can be like one of those«hidden object» games. I always notice something else each lap I make. Burns calories too…

I WILLNEVEREVERSHOPHEREAGAIN. I purchased a barcelona style day bed in June for almost $ 1400. I was told it was«real» leather by the person who works there. They also attached a Design Within Reach page showing the same daybed and wrote on this print out«compare to the«original Knoll version» The print out states that the material used is «Single Spinneybeck Volo cowhide» I purchased the day bed in good faith that it was as they stated«real leather» I recently scratched the daybed _totally my fault_and noticed that the material did not look like real leather. I took a picture of it and went to the store. I spoke to the owner who immediately informed me that all sales were FINAL. I understand and accept that UNLESS something is misrepresented or someone is misled. Instead of jumping to conclusions about the item, the owner suggested and recommended a leather specialist to look at it to identify and see if it can be repaired. I agreed and he came and told me that it was«bonded Leather» which in his words is inferior to true or «real» leather. I agreed to have it repaired which cost $ 200. I went back to discuss this with the owner who was not in but called me back. I told her what I discovered and she insisted that bonded leather IS «real» leather. I told her that the print out said single cowhide leather and that I asked the sales person and was specifically told that it was«real» leather. She insisted that bonded leather is real leather. I furniture and consign shop very frequently, any time an item is made of bonded leather it is explicitly stated. The fact that I was told that it was«real» and had a comparison sheet with an item that was made of real leather yet my item was bonded, is VERYMISLEADING. I should have been told when I asked that it is «real bonded leather» if the fact that it is bonded leather is not a big deal, then why was I not informed. I never expected the owner to accept this item back as a return, but a partial store credit would have been civil because I would never have paid $ 1400 for a USED, bonded leather piece of furniture. I would have appreciated acknowledgement of the error, and an apology. Instead I got an owner with a very nasty attitude who immediately pointed to the all sales final sign and tried to convince me that bonded leather is «real» leather instead of trying to seek an amicable compromise. I will take my business and referrals elsewhere. There are plenty of friendly and pleasant business people out there who still appreciate those who spend their hard earned money to support local business.

While the economy as of late may not be entirely friendly to spur of the moment furniture or house ware shopping, if you happen to be in the market for a used couch, dresser, or harpoon(I’m not kidding even a little), the Consignment Solution is definitely worth a look. Couches, chairs, dining room sets, desks, bedroom sets, art, and a smattering of totally random stuff(harpoon) move in and out of here on a daily basis, so you never know when you’ll find the perfect whatever it is you’re looking for. My mom moved into a new place several months ago and we stopped by this shop every week or so to scope out their inventory. We’ve found some bargains, in addition to some things that maybe weren’t so much bargains as one of kind pieces. For example, in one trip, she picked up a small couch, which her living room had been lacking since she moved in, an antique wine box, and some yummy scented candles. And I’m not much a candle person, y’all, these candles smelled heavenly. The staff is friendly, enthusiastic about their pieces, and really helpful. So before you shell out for some Ikea crap, support your local businesses and take a gander at Consignment Solutions. Did I mention they have a harpoon?!
