too bad this place went out of business without telling it’s customers. Or giving notice. That’s the only peeve I have. It’s much better than the commercialized tanning salons that try to cram $$$ lotions down your throat. Sorry Dan! You could have notified us.

Wow, I’m surprised by these reviews, they don’t match up at all with my experience here. My sister and I have had a monthly tanning bed membership here for 3 years, we both love this place! I researched tanning beds very extensively and this was the only place in town that had lower level beds with the correct ballasts that provide the perfect light to create Vitamin D in a healthy way. On top of that, I’ve had only good experiences with this company and that is why I’ve continued to use them for so long. I’ve never had a problem with billing or being pressured to buy something. The owner is really nice, remembers your name, and has always been very accommodating. I’ve referred friends here and they’ve been happy as well. I will be a customer here for as long as I’m in Dallas, I highly recommend this company.

I read reviews before coming so I was sure to ask about expiration dates on tan packages and be super clear on what I was buying. That being said, I actually have had a totally fine experience here. The owner is nice guy and I got good deal $ 50ish for 2 Versa Pro spray tans. I love Versa Spa and this is the closet place to my house. The tans do expire so make sure to use them before. I think Tan Me is one of the only spots that has the new Versa Pro booths(which are awesome– 4 levels instead of 3). I’ve never had to wait in line(I think they have 3 Versa booths!) and their hours are very convenient for people who work late. Parking is also never an issue has they have 3 reserved spots in front that are never full. I definitely recommend for Versa Spa tanning.

They don’t answer their phones. Wasn’t even sure if they were open today. I left a message and no one returned my call. Dude at front counter was nice, but really out to lunch. Bless his heart. I won’t be going back.

This guy is a total scam artist. I’ve had two groupons now and each time I’ve gone in he’s had a reason why«they are not valid» also when I haven’t had a groupon I’ve gone in and he changes the prices all of the time, and not a subtle change. He tried to charge me 60 dollars for a single spray tan and I questioned it because the previous time I had gone in it was 40, so he looked it up and was like. Oh yeah, okay that’s cool give me 40. What?! So ridiculous.

I wish I would’ve read the negative reviews. Got a groupon for two versa spa tans. Went to redeem and claimed it would cost money on top of the groupon to get a bronze medium. It didn’t say that anywhere on the groupon and owner claimed that groupon told him not to put that on there. He said it was corporates policy and then claimed he didn’t have the number to corporate. There are so many good tanning places in Dallas I highly recommend you stear clear of this place. The worst customer service I’ve ever received. Side note: just found out this is a single location business, therefore, there is no corporate. The phone number listed on the website is the owners personal cell.

I looked over my tanning membership contract. There was nothing on it that said it locked me in. So, eventually I go to cancel and he says that I can’t without paying a fee. I asked to see the contract and he says he «sent it to corporate» and does not offer to let me look over an identical blank one. Palm Beach is pricey but I just go there now. Update: The owner is a complete and utter psycho. He has been messaging me nonstop on Unilocal about«his lawyer», even telling me that I «could lose my job» because he seems to think I work for Unilocal and am posting negative reviews in order to make him pay to take them off. It all sounds crazy because it is. DONOT go to this place.

I’ve been to many salons in Dallas and this place is by far the best. Very clean salon and the beds are super strong. Only a couple sessions gets me summer or vaca ready.

I have been going here off and on for about a year but my last visit was what forced me to review this place. My first visit ever I paid the start up fee(even though no other place I’ve ever tanned had it– that’s why I am returning to a privately owned facility) and tanned there for the whole summer and into the fall but didn’t renew for a couple of months. When I returned, he expected me to pay the fee again. Luckily I didn’t end up having to. I started tanning here again in February or March. He wanted my credit card number to hit every month between the 1st and 5th. I declined as my parents pay for my credit card and I pay for my tanning and agreed to pay for every month in cash at those times. Here is where it gets tricky. If you come in on the 22nd of the month to start out, you pay for a month. He is going to expect you to pay for the next month the 1st-5th a couple of weeks after. So in the space of 2 weeks you’ve paid for 2 months. Presumably, your first month paid for covered you through the 22nd of the coming month and the second payment 2 weeks later covered your though the 22nd of the next and so on and so forth. I played this game for a few months but as I am in college, my living situation tends to vary based on school and jobs. He told me I was due to pay when I went in at the beginning of June but I said I was not sure I would be renewing. He confirmed my membership would be valid through the 22nd of June. I went in a couple of days later and the girl at the counter also confirmed this. I went in on the 9th and was told by the woman at the counter that he had made a note in my account that since payment was not received by the 5th, that was when my membership ended. He effectively shorted me 17 days of tanning I had paid for. I was told I could tan that day since I hadn’t known, but that my membership according to the computer was null and void. According to a number of my sorority sisters, shoddy service is in no short supply here. Also, not sure how a $ 59 bed ended up costing well over $ 70 when the sales tax should have been $ 4.87and the tanning tax $ 5.90. AVOID.

The manager here is a complete liar. He tells you one thing about prices but he is completely misrepresenting what you’ll actually have to pay. He lied through his teeth about what I would end up being charged. DONOTTANHEREITIS A WASTEOFYOURMONEYAND A RIPOFF

On the plus side, they have versa spray which gets you looking not all pale and pasty during the off season without giving you cancer. And the location is great — right across from SMU. You can grab a New York Sub while you’re basking in your new tan. But the chatty owner does his deals by a sales pitch talk. So I signed up for a deal. I would only pay for this many tans but he would throw in some extra ones to make my rate lower. I laid off during the summer cause I was at the lake a lot but then came back in winter. Surprise! The girl working there said she didn’t see the bonus tans the guy promised me to make sign up. And my ones from spring had expired even though it hadn’t even been a year yet. I didn’t have a signed contract, so I just had to walk away. Pretty much wasted $ 200 because I just talked to the guy and paid. I didn’t know tans COULD expire. He sure didn’t tell me I better do them all in the spring. And I guess he didn’t type in the bonus ones. She said she could see I didn’t use my tans yet but I couldn’t have even the ones that were in the system. Pretty disappointing.
