I first discovered Stupid Good during a underground tunnel tour by our tour guide, Michael! It a small place with almost no seating. It has great sausage kolache and black coffee. It’s a bit out of my way but if it’s on your way to work, check them out.

Really good coffee. Not to mention the barista is funny, sweet, and adorable.

While not the most convenient location, Stupid Good Coffee is worth going out of the way to enjoy. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the espresso drinks were. Very smooth, well pulled espresso. The Rolling Stones latte has brown sugar and is delightful. It seemed like it would be overly sweet, but it truly is not. I would highly recommend it. It hadn’t occurred to me to put brown sugar in my coffee before, but now it’s a regular occurrence.

As I continue my journey to check out the local coffee shops in the area, my next stop led me to Stupid Good Coffee. Just the name alone made it a place I wanted to check out. And it’s a coffee spot… sign me up. I’ve had this bookmarked for a while so it was nice to finally check it out. One of the reasons it took a while to get here is because of the hours. Given its location, the hours are convenient for those who work in the building(or nearby). And since I don’t work in the area, it made stopping by a little more difficult. Not one to easily give up on a cup of coffee, I persevered and on a day I happened to work from home I took a break and made the short walk over to Stupid Good Coffee. The actual shop is located on the second floor of the office building located at 1910 Pacific Avenue. Upon entering the lobby of the building I recommend stopping at the security desk and asking for directions. You will be instructed to take the elevator or escalator up to the second floor. Once you reach the second floor you will you know you have arrived as you finally see a sign for Stupid Good Coffee. Upon initial view it looked to be more of a ‘to-go’ coffee shop with little or no seating available. To my surprise, there is a decent amount of seating ranging from bar seating to comfy leather chairs and a sofa. The shop also contains a great display of artwork which adds to the ambiance of the place. The majority of my visits have been in the afternoon following lunch and it has not been crowded. As such I’ve been able to hang around and get a feel for the place. There is always some nice music streaming; just loud enough to hear it but not so loud that it prevents conversation. The afternoon barista is very personable and brews a great cup of java. Based on his interactions with people who pass by it’s easy to pick up on the community feel associated with Stupid Good Coffee. While definitely more corporate, it’s still a cool vibe. My only wish is that it was open later in the day and/or on weekends. Of course, doing that would likely ‘kill the vibe’. If you happen to be in the area(Monday-Friday), stop by and check it out. It’s definitely worth your time.

Decent coffee. Small area to consume beverages. A little too gun crazy. The staff was friendly but the owner seemed to be a fun crazy lunatic so I’d prefer to take my business else where. Perhaps a fun free environment

They coffee is good, but I am not crazy about the location. Not a lot of seating. Great for people that work in that building, but if you want a great coffee place downtown, Urban Coffee.

I went here because I saw the video that Colion Noir shot here. The guns weren’t out like they were in the video but one look behind the counter proved to be different. A very friendly guy packing some serious heat on his hip asked me what I would like and even offered some solid recommendations. The coffee was the best I’ve had in Dallas so far, it was fair priced and awesome. I tried the cappuccino and the house special drink and both were amazing. The atmosphere is very interesting and modern complete with art and guns. This is a more masculine coffee shop but my girlfriend loved it also. I highly recommend this shop to anybody in the area and this certainly is in my personal top 5 coffee shop list. After all if it isn’t stupid good then it’s just plain stupid. As you can see I’m hooked and you will be too.

Found this little coffee and snack nook on the way to Trophy Fitness. Ended up here a few times in the morning to get my cup o’ joe before heading out. It’s located on the upstairs level office building area through the connected passage ways from the Indigo Hotel where I was staying on a biz trip. Tasty coffees, teas, cold drinks, juices, snacks, cookies, pastries, etc. Very friendly baristas/counter staff. Mainly a grab and go spot but it does have some seating. They really do serve up stupid good coffee here!

Great coffee! Perfectly roasted and a much better option than Starbucks and Peets. Hard to find but worth it.

Fun treasure hunt while traveling. Also, great coffee. They are great at making suggestions if you aren’t sure what to get. I’m only here on business but I’ll definitely be back.

We checked out this spot because I was in need of some tea since I was getting sick and were staying at the Sheraton nearby. It was a pretty quick walk but a little difficult to find. We called and they explained they were upstairs in an office building and then we quickly found them. It’s a cute little coffee shop that clearly put an extra effort in décor. We got hot chocolate and coconut tea which were both good. If my drink wasn’t so hot I would have laid on the little bean bag chair they had there. It’s a pretty cool spot you can just chill out at.

Great coffee shop! It is hard to find– I was able to find the office building with the address number on it, but I had to ask the gentleman at the front desk for directions. He instructed me to take the elevator/escalator nearby to the second floor, then take a set of glass doors. With his directions and some signage I was able to find it, but certainly not a great place for foot traffic. That being said, this place is an awesome space when you get in. Although it’s small, there’s plenty of seating including some window seats and a couch. The staff was super friendly, and they had a lot of food options including the standard coffee/tea options. I was pleased to see that they had Harney and Sons tea as well, and a great selection at that! H&S are really high quality teas that are hard to find, so I appreciated that they offered them. I ended up settling on a cold brew coffee, and one of the oatmeal cups they sold. Both were really good, and great for a quick breakfast! If I lived in the area, I would come to this coffee shop all the time, and would certainly recommend to others.

Found myself exploring downtown Dallas on my own after having my flight home cancelled and wandered in to this place after seeing their sign while I was checking out The Majestic Theater next door. Steve was the barista on duty and experimented a bit to make me a coconut mocha that I requested but wasn’t on the menu. When I let him know I was a stranded out of towner, he gave me plenty of suggestions of things to do to keep myself entertained in the downtown area and then handed me an excellent coconut mocha. If I find myself in downtown Dallas again, I’ll definitely be paying this place another visit.

I’m a Starbucks gold cardholder. Go ahead and judge me. I can take it. So with that in mind, and two Starbucks within 5 minutes of my office downtown, why would I take a 10 minute mid-afternoon walk to Stupid Good Coffee? If you’ve ever been to Stupid Good Coffee, then you’d know that’s a stupid question. You take a 10 minute mid-afternoon walk — or a 5 minute jog if you know what’s good for you — there because Stupid Good Coffee is just that good. Let’s get the basics out of the way: * Yes, it’s in an office building.(Hello — we’re in downtown Dallas. This isn’t exactly shocking.) * Yes, it’s on the second floor.(See above. Also not shocking news. There are also bathrooms located on floors above ground level.) * Yes, the security desk will ask you where you’re going.(See above — downtown Dallas. They ask strangers questions now and then. That’s why they are called, «Security.») * Yes, they will give you directions even if you know where you’re going.(Because people are nice. And they know the coffee is good.) Not basics: * Stupid Good Coffee serves Oak Cliff Roasters coffee. It’s one of the best local roasters around. Sooooo smooth. Sooooo tasty. * The owner is a person! With a personality! Some days he’s cross-promoting his CHL classes. Some days(like today) he’s offering a discount for Texas A&M students. * The baristas have a personality! And know their coffee! Take today, for example. I didn’t know what I wanted. I’m recovering from the cold from you-know-what, so I have a sore throat and can hardly taste a thing. Plus I’ve been crashed for the past 48 hours and fear not being able to sleep if I have caffeine late in the day. Yet it’s my first day back at work after the Great Illness and the afternoon is dragging. Toss that hot mess to the baristas with a plea to «Tell me what I should get» and you’ll end up with something wonderful, like a half-caf light mint latte. Smooth, creamy, warm, delightful. I swear I’m healed. It’s a miracle. Get thee to Stupid Good Coffee and try it for yourself.

Rarely do I get a latte that doesn’t taste bitter. However, when I get a latte that tastes smooth, retains its coffee taste and has a really nice foamy-ness to it, I’m a happy gal! Like this morning while I’m typing this review up, I’m incredibly pleased while sipping on my drink. Stupid good coffee is actually stupid good. They’re a bit difficult to find but they’re in the big olé’ office building with lots of glass windows next to the Majestic Theatre. Go up to the second floor(which is also accessible via skywalk) and follow the signs to Stupid Good Coffee. I had the hardest time trying to figure out which«office building» everyone else’s reviews were referring to but alas, SUCCESS! The shop had a barista cranking out drinks and a cashier/Chemex brewer. Service is pretty on point but they’re also incredibly busy so kudos to the barista pouring dairy into someone’s drink, making a heart in the latte with the milk(yay latte art), and saying hello and getting your order. Those are some mad multi tasking skills. Another coffee in downtown Dallas visited, now on to the next one!

I ALWAYS spend my money where I know the 2nd amendment and NFA culture are supported and welcome. Daniel will treat you like family, pour you a great cup if coffee and chat guns with you all day. Need your CHL? He will fix you up on that too! Im so over the mainstream chains for coffee, and this is a delightful departure from them. #nfaaf

This place is almost impossible to find. But when you do you will be happy that you did. The location is inside an office building on the second floor on the walkway across from the parking lot. The owner was working that day and he explained that they get about 7000 people walk by so it is a good place for business. The coffee is delicious. This evening is nice but very limited. The owner is very helpful

On one of my rare days off of work, I grabbed my laptop, jumped on the DLink, and hopped off downtown to find a spot to post up(and do more work, what else??). As I was wandering around, I pulled out my Unilocal app to help me find a destination. Stupid Good Coffee popped up, so off I went! The shop is located inside the building right next to the Majestic Theatre. I went in on the Elm street side. You can take either the elevator or the escalator(these weren’t running at the time I went in, but you can walk up them) to the second floor, go through the glass doors, and you’ll find it. I ordered a Americano, then went and found a space to work. The shop isn’t big, but a nice size for the space that it occupies. There are nice seating arrangements in the back as well as a bar area up against the windows. The coffee was very good! The espresso was rich and not too watered down. Very good! The wifi was very quick as well. I got a lot accomplished sipping on my beverage, sending off emails, and watching the busy traffic down on Elm street from my perch at the bar. As I was working, one of the employees told me that they were going to close at 4:45, so keep that in mind in case you’re thinking they’d stay open until their posted time. I’m glad that I found a new spot where I can disappear and get some work done. Next time I’ll have to come back and try something different… and maybe pick up a bottle of root beer or two that they have on display! Stupid Good is exactly what its name says it is… give it a shot!

Who would have thought a good independent coffee would be housed in a corporate building downtown? Masculine smart young men sat idle between peak hours, playing Otis Redding, offering good coffee, homemade muffins, designer oatmeals and other goods in a small personalized space overlooking a sky bridge. I wasn’t feeling social, and the guys warmly engaged me and then from my cue, as I sat on the couch in the one little alcove, gave me my space to wake up. Fraternal kindness abounds on the second floor in a skyscraper next to The Majestic Theatre. The limited hours will hopefully keep them in business long enough to open up shop in a more available location.
