Airports are overpriced, I am well aware if that. This isnt based on price but from quality, taste and presentation as well as friendliness of staff. I ordered a bloody Mary and the ceasar salad with shrimp and was more than disappointed with both. The bloody Mary was beyond bland and loaded with too much salt. The salad was $ 15 and had nothing but lettuce smothered in a abundance of salty mayonnaise based dressing. The shrimp made the salad edible and i abandoned the rest of the gross salad. To further enhance my experience the bartender gave the impression he would rather not be there and paid little attention to the patrons at the bar. Will never return and would never recommend.

OMG the perfect comfort food… Bacon wrapped meatloaf on a bed of Mac n’ cheese! It was awesome! I love meatloaf, so I try to stop by on my trip home after a week of business in Dallas. Just the right amount of spices and full of flavor!

This place is so difficult to rate. Our waiter gets 1 Star. The bartender gets 4 Stars. Food gets 3 Stars. Cleanliness when we got there 1 Star, cleanliness when we left 4 Stars. Ambiance/décor 4 Stars. Averages to just below 3 Stars. But I’m giving it 2 Stars because the waiter had me so mad that I cried and we almost left. We’re on our way home from a lovely Bahamas vacation. Stopover in Dallas, has a couple hours and we were hungry. Checked out all the restaurants and decided to eat here. There was no hostess when we got there so we were yelled at from across the room to pick any clean table. About half the tables were dirty or taken, the place wasn’t busy, we found one and sat and sat and sat, we were passed by twice and were told someone would be right with us. I took matters into my own hands and got us 2 menus from the hostess stand and perused the bar’s whiskey selection… something different I spied and asked the bartender about it, he was helpful. Checking out the menu we can over hear our waiter yelling at the hostess?(We didn’t see her doing much of anything) not to touch his tables and he was short 30 $ because of her. Said waiter finally showed up and just says asks what we want, no intro, no smile, nothing. I knew what I wanted, The Honey Fried Chicken and that Texas whiskey on the rocks. Doug hesitated not sure what to get, we could tell the waiter was getting impatient, Doug wanted to ask questions but settled on the same as me but with one of their specialty mixed drinks. A few seconds later the waiter in a huff asks me what whiskey I wanted Makers or Bulliet. I told him no the Texas whiskey right up front, frazzled again says I don’t know what you want and walks away, so I walked to the bar and see its called Yellow Rose, I walked to his station and told him. He yelled across the restaurant to the bartender, «How do I ring Yellow Rose up??» By this point I’m really thirsty and would love a water but I’m afraid to ask, so I walk out to the airport snack stand and buy one. My husband seems unphased by the whole thing and all my frustrations bubble up and I burst out crying. We hadn’t gotten anything yet so my husband suggests we leave but I said no, let’s stay. We finally get our drinks, I’m calming down. Our food finally comes, delivered by the bartender. Our waiter is busy cleaning and filling sugars. He comes by and asks if everything is good and if we’d like water«no, thanks, I bought some at the snack stand» The chicken was really good, the fries were too greasy, the biscuit was dry and bland, again I was afraid to ask for butter and maybe some honey. I got full on my chicken, it was a big portion, and my whiskey was a nice heavy pour. We got our bill, not asked if we’d like dessert or anything else. We tipped poorly which I hate to do but you get what you deserve, we were gonna slip the bartender a few bucks on the way out but he disappeared. I hope our waiter has a better day tomorrow. I never got his name. Middle aged bald guy, grumpy, you’ll know him if you see him.

Nope. I’m disappointed by my experience. Coming in on a Saturday morning wanting breakfast before my flight. 1– the waitstaff was over whelmed. The waiter was cheerful and nice, however the waitress was rude curt and failed to check on her tables, this job seems to be a little too much. 2– the food was not good. It wasn’t bad, but my eggs, toast and bacon with fried potatoes were not worth $ 14. I asked to add cheese to the eggs– $ 2? Really? $ 5 for an extremely small glass of OJ. Nope nope nope. Not only will I not go here again, I would not recommend it. I expect there to be an up charge for being the airport, but I have a limit to what I believe to be reasonable, this is not it.

I stopped in here with my husband and son for a bite between flights. The service was absolutely horrible. They weren’t busy but no one would greet us. After we got a table, our waitress only took our order– didn’t say hello, didn’t bring silverware, and acted like she didn’t want to be bothered. The only nice person was the manager, who helped us get a high chair, wiped it down for my son, and brought him some macaroni & cheese. Pro tip: don’t waste your time here. Food is mediocre at best; I had to have Tums before we left the table because the tacos were so spicy.

Meh. Little good to talk about here. Three of us had the burger, all well over cooked. The burns were toasted to the point of being semi-burnt. The trio of dips is blah and way overpriced. I did enjoy the house made potato salad and the pickles. Both are different and tasty. But way overpriced. Next time I’ll walk across the way and get much better food at Chik Fil A.

Enjoyed my burger, potato salad, and house pickles. My initial choice was the chicken fried steak but they were out of green beans and I didn’t feel like having an extra helping of potatoes or any other sides which didn’t pair well with the main course. The burger was well made and satisfying. It was neither too small or humongous and had a nice crust on it and was cooked to a perfect medium as I had asked for. The potato salad had a unique taste but I would have preferred a more classic take on it. My server was nice enough and apologetic for not having the green beans for my first entrée preference. The only real complaint would be that my soda was quite watered down. I guess I could have asked for another one or for something else to drink but I just let it go(how unusual of me). It was not very crowded when I stopped in during lunch hours on Sunday so that was nice. I was able to stretch out and eat in peace and without feeling rushed. The venue is clean, airy, and open and you can sit at any number of tables, at the bar, or raised bar seating that faces out onto the concourse if you feel like people watching. I wouldn’t hesitate to pop in here again.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast on our way out of town and enjoyed every bit of it! Our flight crew decided to try to leave early to beat the weather so we had to get our food to-go just after it arriving to the table. The staff was very prompt with getting us to-go boxes as well as all utensils needed and our check. The food was very good! We ordered migas, egg scramble burrito, and pancakes. The staff was friendly and understood our need for things to arrive quickly and they made it happen. We will definitely eat here again the next time we travel. :)

It’s currently 9:26 am and I am heading home to California. Luckily this place was pretty packed so I took it as a good sign for some breakfast. Thankfully my eyes didn’t deceive me. Now enjoying Jameson w/ginger ale. And a glorious side of bacon. ahhhh! :)

We were so excited to see a Stephan Pyles restaurant in the Southwest Terminal at DAL upon our arrival. We knew where we were eating when we were departing! The restaurant is beautiful — you seat yourself at the lacquered wood tables and chairs. You are surrounded by Texas art — cattle skulls, southwestern blankets, saddles, etc. The staff is friendly and attentive. They bustle and have a smile! We decided to split two dishes before our flight. We had: Brisket Tacos($ 11): a plate with two tacos in lightly toasted corn tortillas(not housemade but very fresh and good quality) are filled with tender smoked brisket and topped with cilantro and onions. They are served with green and red salsas. The red salsa is a smokey almost sweet tomato based salsa and the green is a quite mild tomatillo salsa. I could not pick one over the other and preferred them together. Every bite was outstanding — not too greasy, tender, smokey, tangy(from the salsa and onion) — all that I want in a taco. Shrimp Caesar Salad($ 17): the most beautiful salad I have ever seen. 8 romaine leaves were lightly dressed in a southwestern Caesar dressing and put in a roll of baked parmesan and served with four spice encrusted shrimp and six somewhat spicy polenta croutons. It was delicious… the shrimp were perfectly cooked and I loved the smokey spice. The croutons were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with a deceptive heat that was not apparent from viewing so maybe it was jalapeño juice. The dressing was a little spicy and an absolute delight. The cheese was plentiful and added a nice textural element. I had noticed the house made pickles on the menu, and our waitress was kind enough to bring me a small cup of them. OMG. Delicious thin sliced of cucumber were pickled with lots of mustard seed for a tangy crunch. Because of our flight departure, I could not stick around for dessert. I wish that we had a Stephan Pyles’ restaurant in Los Angeles(and that they imported their servers too). It was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

I ordered the tortilla soup and tacos. The tortilla soup was awful — like canned tomato soup. The tacos were good but very messy and I wasn’t given any napkins. My waitress vanished once I got my food and never came back. The entire time I was there, the waitress was serving or interacting with a table who ordered a bottle of wine. She checked on them no less than 10 times and checked on my table 0 times.

I’m so impressed! This place has had a full turn around. Wonderful customer service and very attentive servers and manager. Then comes the food — they aren’t afraid of spice and seasonings here. The Texas Chili is delicious and out of more than 8 places I’ve had Texas Chili this is by far the best with a deep/rich flavor, so spicy and perfect amount of meat. Also it comes with a great corn bread.

Airport Food is not usually anything to write home about, however Sky Canyon is a rare treat at Love Field. I got the brisket burger and it was a large portion of flavorful, juicy meat on a delicious bun with some great fries as a side. The price was a decent value for the location inside an airport, and the service was friendly and fast. I will definitely eat here again when I am early for a flight out.

Love field has a lot of choices when it comes to cuisine in such a small airport. This place was just downright rude. I sat down at the bar and was waiting for over 15 minutes to order. Wait staff walked by me and I was trying to flag someone down to order. When I did get a waitress, I told her that I was in a hurry. Her response was«and so is everyone else, what do you want?» Absolutely rude, And told the 3 guys sitting next to me what she said. We all walked out. Go somewhere else! The wait staff is TERRIBLE.

I like to be seated at the bar when possible so I can watch all the action. This place seems to be very well organized, and service and food are great. The only negative point is that they only have bottled beer and no draft.

This little place is one of the few sitdown places with waitstaff at Dallas Love Field. That being said… Don’t make the same mistake I did and let that lure you in. I had eggs, potatoes, and bacon, with toast. The eggs were rubbery, as was the bacon. The potatoes had some spicy type of… Seasoning, I guess but it wasn’t spicy in a good way at all. None of my food was hot… More like room temperature. Several orders in our party were wrong, and the staff wasn’t happy at all to be asked to fix them. All in all… Not worth the $ 20 per person paid. Keep on walkin, weary traveler. There’s Whataburger up yonder. They won’t let you down.

The service here is amazing. From the time I walked in the door I was completely catered to and the server was always there to answer a question or offer a suggestion. I ordered the salmon ceviche and it was really great. In my opinion, it could have used a little spice, but that is just my personal preference. I ordered the shrimp Cesar salad and the presentation blew me away! Wow! Watch out for the polenta croutons. They sound cute and friendly but they are totally a party in your mouth!

It’s a rare occasion when an airport restaurant doesn’t even meet the minimum standards one has for an airport restaurant. Two stars for Sky Valley is generous. I’d give them one but I was here once when the service wasn’t awful. Skip it. On my most recent visit, we ordered food we didn’t get, we ordered one thing and then turned to a waitress who’d walked away, we were virtually abandoned in a busy airport restaurant for as long as twenty minutes, and was told the reason they didn’t bring food that was ordered was because she«only has two hands». Service wasn’t just inattentive, it was offensive. Skip it.

Stopped by Sky Canyon since it was new to Dallas Lovefield. Airport food tends to more expensive, travelers should be aware already. Just ordered an appetizer, nothing on the menu really amazed me besides the section listed«from the ceviche bar». They offer Honduran Tuna, Ecuadorian shrimp, or Salmon Veracruzano. All between $ 11-$ 12 each or you can try all 3 for $ 28 which was what I did. All the fishes were amazing! So fresh! They served each one in a tiny fish bowl with ice to keep the fish cold of course. I’m torn between the Honduran Tuna because of its sweetness, it had a watermelon taste. And as well as the Salmon Veracruzano which has a little spice to it. They were all delicious. I recommend to try all 3!

If your in Love Field Airport stop by this place. Won’t disappoint. When I see food come out with a presentation like it does here, I know the food will taste good. It’s Country Southwestern themed food. Cool looking inside. Friendly service. Happy I stopped in. Alcohol starts at 10am on Sundays :( Travel safe out there. Rain in my forecast. Florida here we come. Also coffee here is better probably than the DD next door.
