I had the eggs and salsa. Was really good. I don’t get out to Dallas that often but this place will make my stop by the next time I do. Small place but the food was great. Service was right on time and had a good attitude. Have to come back for lunch soon.

I have been going to this place on my nice family Sundays since 2012, I absolutely love it… and I can very easily say that every time its better than the last one, Fernanda is a very very friendly person, the same for the people that work with her. She has given me the best service always, I cant believe what this lady wrote here, that is not Fernanda, they swing by to refill very frequently and check the tortilla container every so often, This place is my chosen place for every Sunday I spend with my family.

Very disappointed with the quality of costumer service. We purchased a certificate for the restaurant and the owner refused to honor it because she has had«issues with black people«so she no longer accepts the coupons. There were no signs posted stating that they no longer accepted the certificate. The owner Fernanda was very rude and hateful. I would suggest not ever spending your hard earned money at a racist establishment. The food was served cold and our drinks were not refilled until the end of the meal.

Decent breakfast food, it’s diner style and the waitresses are nice. The wife loves the place and I like it too.

Found this place when looking for a local, home cooked diner. Saw the chicken fried chicken and jumped in the car. Very friendly. Homemade food. Made with care. Great portions and reasonable prices. Food was fresh. No instant potatoes or gravy some restaurants try to pass off. Didn’t realize they had Mexican food also. Looking forward to trying something off that menu next visit So I went back to try the Mexican food. Not I impressed at all. Can chili and can cheese. Think concession stand. I expected more after the fresh and good experience I had with the chicken fried chicken. I will give the American side another chance but not the Mexican.

Sunday lunch, yeah. We loved it. Shared lunch plate with my daughter. Meatloaf, corn, cabbage, mashed potatoes, with sweet corn bread. Dessert we shared peach cobbler, ala mode. Visit this place often for homemade great grub.

I’ve been coming to Rosie’s Café since the original owners owned it(I’ve been a happy client for 17 yrs). I’ve always enjoyed the staff, the food the new owner Fernanda .has always been friendly religious and family oriented Lady. She also now owns the party hall next door and what I great opportunity now that my son is getting married, to have his wedding in a familiar place and with good people I’ve gotten to associate with over the years. A lil bit of a language barrier since my son & soon to be daughter in law do not speak Spanish, we set an appointment to speak to the person in charge of the rental hall. She explained the process and we were told that for any reason they needed to cancel. their $ 100 deposit would be non-refundable. Understandable. That’s the last time I’ve seen or spoken Jackie(the owner’s sister) 2 months ago. Unfortunately my son got a huge pay cut and was unable to proceed with the plans. He called Jackie to explain the situation. She then informed him he would not receive any money back. Not the $ 100 or the $ 200 they’ve given as payment. Contradiction or was it a miscommunication? I received a call from Fernanda(owner) yesterday. I was unaware of any wedding changes til after this call. I answered the call to a yelling angry person I didn’t even know who it was. She then told me that she was out of the country and her sister had no authority to refund any money to my daughter in law. She proceeded to yell and told me that she had a contract that explained«No refunds» for what ever reason. Now realizing who it was. I tried to get a word in edge wise but to no success. I personally was not present to see any contract .not my wedding nor was I the person renting this hall. I asked her many times to calm down and to Stop being yelling. I told her I had no clue what was going on. 2 hours later, another call from Fernanda. This time cussing every other word directed towards my daughter in law. I finally had to raise my voice and told to «STOP! Stop being disrespectful! » She then informed me that she was angry. (REALLY!) After her comment«tell your FATPIG of daughter in law …» I was at a loss for words since she openly says how she has been«SAVED» and appears to be a Godly woman. She informed me then that(word per word) «Your son has no chance in getting his money back. I can wipe my ASS with $ 200 „ Yeah– very Business & lady like– Not only is she a Fowl mouth person. worst of the worst. Her and her sister’s business manner are Bull Shit. Today I saw the contract Jackie provided my daughter in law and it’s all in Spanish. How in the world was she suppose to understand it since neither her or my son Do Not Speak or read Spanish?
Sad to say I will not be going back for any reason. Nor will I recommend this place anymore. After all that Drama that I was put thru & disrespectful cussing RANTING. I should of NEVER been involved in it in the first place. Think before you open your vulgar mouth. I’m posting this because it is the TRUTH and no one should ever be spoken to in the manner no matter the situation, Especially in business. Signed Silvia.“ Pissed in Dallas »

My wife and I come here for brunch on weekends. The migas are very good, and my wife says the relleno is delicious. Old fashioned Tex Mexico breakfast. Nothing fancy. Service is decent, a little slow sometimes but it’s rarely overcrowded. Look, if you’ve got a hangover, it’s five stars. Very clean. Colorful, elderly clientele.

We stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. As soon as I entered I was greeted with very warm and welcoming hello’s. I really liked that. The hostess informed me we can sit where ever we wanted. I picked a booth and my husband arrived after a couple of minutes. A very nice lady brought our menus and coffee. The nice ladies that greeted us and informed me about seating did not end up being our waitress. Our waitress took a very, very long time to take our order. Once the food arrived it was good and hearty. My husband asked for water and our waitress forgot. He made a second request and she finally brought it near the end of our meal. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, and really everything else was fine, except the waitress. My guess is she probably just needs more training. The establishment was clean and as we were leaving we were thanked in the same cheery voices.

Food is always great. The place is busy but you always have a seat available. Food is home cooked and fresh. Atmosphere is very casual with a friendly comfort feeling. My wife and I have a hot date here regularly. Number one for breakfast.

This is one of the staples of the East Dallas area. I love their food, and their staff is always friendly and helpful. They have some of the BEST Tex-Mex food around. And the prices cannot be beat! My wife and I eat here at least once a month.

Decided to have a nice Sunday meal with the family and wanted to try somewhere new. Did a little search on and found this little place. Seemed to have a little something to please everyone and so we headed out. When we arrived I decided this place was probably going to have pretty good food because the interior was not why the place was full! The place is very clean with alot of natural light from outside but the place is not going to get by on ambiance. Since they are not strictly a Mex or Tex-Mex place you do have to order the chips and salsa-but they are very cheap and bottomless. They are also very fresh-a big hit with all at the table. The boys decided it had been too long since they had enjoyed the greatness of a BLT and they both ordered one. I will have to take their word on how good they were-they couldn’t even spare me one bite as they inhaled their meals. They did look good and had a good amount of bacon on them. My daughter had the cheese enchillada-her stand by meal. She loved it and even let Daddy have a bite-very nice flavor and not too spicy which she has a problem with. My better half opted for the fajita chicken quesadilla and she absolutely loved it. I was offered a little and I did enjoy. The flavors of the peppers and chicken meat were very good and the guac was smooth and delicious. I went for the Chile Relleno and was not disappointed. My only desire was that the beef had a little more spiciness to it– but I understand they are appealing to the masses. It was flavorful and quite filling. The waitstaff was very friendly and the owner came over to meet and greet and ask how our visit was. She was very personable and ended up giving my wife a little history of the place. Everyone left happy and full, which adds Rosi’s to the Campbell’s Sunday morning rotation!

Rosi’s is an older restaurant, that the owner told us, has been in Dallas(at this location) for over 20 years. There interior is not fancy, but wait until you taste the food! It is packed with flavor! I had the Fajita Chicken Quesadilla, which was flavor-filled with cheese(could never have enough), bell pepper(YUM), and of course a healthy portion of savory chicken! It was a good portion served with sour cream and guacamole. My husband had a beef filled Chile-Relleno, which he found very tasty. I had a bite and found it to be good, but the Quesadilla(in my opinion) was better. My sons each had BLTs and loved them.(Not too sure how one could mess that up, though!) My daughter had a cheese enchilada meal, which was pretty tasty, as well. My main disappointment was that you had to pay for chips & hot sauce, but they were bottomless and inexpensive. We were going to try them again, but when we got there, they were closed. The weird hours is what has brought them from a five to a four star. If I have a craving for a restaurant, I don’t want them to be open only full-time 3 days a week and closed or half days 4. They are certainly worth a try, but I’d call before going.
