I called Tim based on my friend, Chris Heslets’, recommendation. We’re both homeowners in Oak Cliff — meaning our houses are a century old and need more care and maintenance than the average house. And we got tired of paying the unreasonably high costs to plumbers, electricians, etc, so we help each other to find the best people — that are honest, reasonable, and do good quality work. Tim is someone we both now use and enjoy. A few years ago I found a roofing guy I thought was great. His work was very cheap. Later I realized it’s because he cuts corners. Tim’s prices aren’t much more than the other guy, but the work is great quality. And he’s only repairing the problem areas. He walked my roof and acted like a trusted advisor, telling me what he would do if it were his own roof. So we only repaired what was necessary, instead of replacing the entire roof. On a roof repair he did for me recently, he replaced all the flashing to prevent a future problem down the road. He even replaced a few rotted sideboards of the house, and there was only one lumber yard in Dallas which carried that same style wood — and he knew of them and had already picked up the new wood by the time I spoke with him. I’ve included some of the pictures below of the work at the halfway point. You can see the ice/watershield membrane he installed which ensures I won’t have another problem. He also uses 30/yr shingles, which are more durable then whatever I had before. If you’re going to own your house for the next 10+ years and don’t want the problems you’re fixing to come back– but also don’t want to pay for the premium guys — give Tim a call.
