«Knowledge. Wisdom. Truth.» Somewhere, on everything Robert Graham makes, these three little words will be found. What does it mean? Good question. Based on my research, rumor has it that not even the designer, Robert Stock, really seems to know. But they sure are cool and identify you as a person who’s probably, you know, ‘deep’. As someone who has been an avid fan(and collector) of Robert Graham for the past ~7 years, I was extremely pleased when this boutique/shop opened during the summer of 2014. While there are other stores in the area that carry Robert Graham there’s nothing like having a single shop that contains everything Robert Graham. From the main line to the Limited Edition line(and everything in between); it can all be found in this location. This includes things for both Men and Women; shirts, hats, socks, blazers etc. If Robert Graham makes it this store has it. On my many visits here the staff has always been very personable and as importantly knowledgeable of the brand. I usually work with Cassandra or Joe. Both are super cool and are the epitome of customer service. If neither are present I go with the flow. Regardless of who I end up working with I really like the fact they are not the pushy sales person type trying to force you into a purchase. And I’m thankful the staff here do NOT have stalker tendencies. On every visit I’ve been able to browse at my leisure and when I need assistance they are immediately available to help. In addition to browsing at my leisure, I do so while sipping an espresso and/or bottled water(which comes with a customized Robert Graham label on it). If you have that hard to shop for person in your life, check out Robert Graham. That person will greatly appreciate you for doing so. And at the same time you will send them the message that you think they are, you know, ‘deep’. «Knowledge. Wisdom. Truth.»

There’s no doubt that exclusivity is important in today’s world. For some, that can mean belonging to an illustrious country club with a «wait list» to join longer than a Van Halen contract rider. For others, that can mean driving a fancy car that was made in a production run of only 27 units and was available to purchase strictly by donating a vital organ. But then there’s fashion exclusivity, and Robert Graham deserves to be mentioned when it comes to boldly standing out in a display of originality that would make kaleidoscopes blush. If you’re looking for a chance to «dress to impress,» while being assisted by some of the friendliest staff that culminates in a shopping experience that is both relaxing and engaging, you owe it to your closet and your paycheck to pay this store a visit. This particular Robert Graham is only a few months old and located near a main entrance to the mall, opposite the Nike Store. The two entrances bookend a room that flows back and is flanked by racks of clothing on both sides, a couple of posh chairs and a sofa set-up in the middle, followed by some table displays and a handful of dressing rooms around the back wall. New releases are featured prominently up front, and the right wall plays host to a dangerous combo of socks and exclusive shirts. Various collections(the«X» collection, prior seasons, etc.) make up the other racks, while women’s apparel can be found in the back left corner. It sounds like a large store, and it is, especially in comparison to other Robert Graham locations across the country — you could walk by the one in The Venetian shops in Vegas on total accident if you sneeze. But while those stores, and this one, maximize the retail space they are afforded, this particular location has an ace up its finely tailored sleeve in the form of a customer relations team that has been nothing short of sublimely helpful during every visit. You know how whenever you go shopping in a boutique store the staff is hawking you like you might be about to spontaneously combust at any moment? Or worse, you might be needing to use a flare gun to send up a signal for assistance because you cannot find a salesperson to help you out? The employees here have a deft balance of attentive customer service, mixed with a laissez faire approach that makes everyone who walks through the door feel welcomed but not suffocated. It feels natural and not at all forced — yeah, I’m sure there are going to be customers guzzling espresso when its offered, and I almost turned into«that guy» today when I found out Corner Bakery provided complimentary desserts for customers this afternoon, but these kinds of offerings are indicative of the kind of comfort the store provides while you shop. My family has been shopping here for a few months now, and while we have never had anything less than five-star service, a special shout out must be given to Cassandra for her dutiful efforts to make sure both my Dad and I look like functioning members of society. This is a tougher challenge than you might think, and she handles it with an aplomb usually reserved for tightrope walkers or bomb-disarming technicians. While each team member here provides a reassuring and helpful level of service, she has taken care of us the majority of the time here and we, like the rest of her customers, are all the better for it. Speaking of positive situations, I must admit I am a bit puzzled as to how I am the first person to review this place. Part of it has to be due to brand recognition: it’s a Robert Graham store… how can this be anything less than five stars? Any brand that has its own«Collector’s Club» has to have a fervent following. Part of it might also be sticker shock. This place is not cheap but look at what shopping mall it sits in — NorthPark is like the«Empire Strikes Back» of shopping malls: it built upon what came before it, and everything after it has seen diminishing returns. And possibly ewoks. The point is, whether there are 0 reviews or 37,000 reviews, today’s shopper is aware of the style and singularity afforded by this company. That Dallas is able to join the dozen+ other retail stores currently operating around the country is another score for«exclusivity.» If you have ever been curious about the brightly lit store in the mall with shirts that can be seen from miles away, take a step inside. I promise you will feel welcomed and you just might make a return trip.
