This place is HORRIBLE!!! Do not go It made me sick to my stomach. The food was very disgusting and the egg roll had a very bad old smell. I would not give the place NO Stars but it’s not a choice.

This is actually a really good fast food Chinese restaurant! If you are on the go and hungry, this is the place to pick up! I’ve had their sesame chicken, Kung pao chicken, orange chicken and their combination lo mein! All which were very yummy! The cooks behind the cashier are always staring at you the whole time which is a little odd, lol. So I always feel awkward coming in which is why it stopped me from giving them a 5. But other than that, their food is delicious! You won’t be disappointed! This is my FAVORITE fast food Chinese to go!

Zero star if I can! Worst restaurant ever!!! I ordered combination Lo mien last time and I only got 2 stinky shrimp in there. Stinky!!! Like the shrimps has stayed out there for the whole day! Today I got Mongolian beef because I don’t wanna try shrimp any more, but I only get very very very small pieces beef! Most of the dish are onions. I am a tiny girl and that is not even enough for me! We called and they said that’s the way they cook… And their cashier are so rude and stupid. I don’t understand how this place can still exist.

Every time I place a carry out order, the ladies who answer the phone are RUDE and argumentative. So i finally decided to just go in to the store and place my order(this is the only Chinese around). The store is very unorganized and there are like 3 people running the front tripping over each other. The food is decent however I always have the problem with the rude staff. Today a woman decided to argue with me over wanting extra soy sauce and was very disrespectful and threw the soy sauce. I left and called to speak with the manager. She wasn’t concerned, she said i have 4 – 5 girls working for me so i don’t know which one you are referring to but sorry. i said i can describe her to you if you’d like, she is always rude to me, this is not the first time and the«manager» came back and said«i told you sorry so there and hung up on me». Now i see why the staff feels like its ok to have poor customer service, because the manager does as well. Horrible place to do business!!! I wouldn’t suggest going.

The food is great. I usually eat here about 3x a month for the past 8−9months because it’s convenient and on my way home from work. But the reason for my review is because I always order combination fried rice, chicken and shrimp only. The past 2 times, they have given me regular combination fried rice, even after checking MULTIPLE times that the young man heard me before he placed my order. I get home(Irving), take out my food, notice it’s wrong, and call the store to inform them & the young man says«the manager will be here tomorrow.» That’s it, no apology, nothing. So here it is, the next day so I call the manager and explain that there has never been a problem before, but that I’d appreciate it if she could reiterate to her employees the importance of paying attention to a customer’s order. The manager was VERY rude and on top of that, she was raising her voice saying«nobody told her» and«why didn’t you call yesterday when it happened» and that all she can do is tell me to write a letter. Not only will I be doing that, but I will also be taking my business elsewhere if the owner is anywhere near as rude as the manager.

Food good but employees are VERY rude!!! The bad attitudes are not worth the food. Cashier is very unhappy and cooks stare at you from behind the cook line. When I asked the cashier for help with an order she said«I don’t know, you can get anything» and just pointed at the menu. Not the first time she has been rude either. Not eating there again!

Got the teriyaki chicken which was good. The fried rice was more like sticky rice. Got the crab ragoons with it, they were very good. Little pricey, my meal was $ 15 for one. Would rate this place with a panda express, but fresher food. Not a bad place when in a hurry.

DONOTGO, IFYOUWANTTOBETREATEDPOORLY. This place was close to my job and wanted to try it out. I placed mine and a co-workers order and they mentioned that the order will be ready in 10 minutes. It is snowing, but I still take the risk to drive there to buy their food and get there in less than 10 minutes. When I get there I mention, to one of the girls that I have an order is placed for me. She was lost and could not find my order. Then a tall Asian lady jumped in, very rude, asked, «What did your order, ma’am?» I told mentioned now to her, when she had heard me the couple of times I already had an order. Then she comes back to me and tells me, «No order is here for you. You will need to order. Can I help the next person?» Without even asking me if I would like to place an order, knowing it is snowing outside and people need to get to work. My co-worker decides to go ahead and place the order for 4 plates. We pay and we wait 30 minutes. We are losing time for just coming here and picking up the orders and still have to wait more to get our orders. She gives us our orders and they were not correct. She only gave us 3 plates, when she knew we were ordering 4. We tell her you already messed up twice, what are you going to do about this. She doesn’t help us or even care for our services. We were really upset on how she was running business and how rude she was to us. To top it off, the food was not that great. I had better food and services at the Churches in front of this place.

This is a great choice for your typical Chinese takeout. I have eaten here a number of times and the food has been exactly what I expected. I just wish it was in better location. Having a couple of homeless guys watch your car as you go in to pick-up your order is a little unnerving.

I have been ordering food from this place over 6 months now. Some of these negative of reviews are totaly unfair. One person was complaining because they were looked ackwardly when they tried to return food they did not eat and they were told they could not share refill drinks when dining in LOL. Another person complained because they tried to place an order for their company with multiple orders at one time. Uh its a very small business and it normally has only three employees working at one time. I gotta say Im pretty satisfied with Rice Bowl express, for one they are pretty fast to make your order. I either call in or just place it there and its made within minutes. Second their food is good and consistent unlike most chinese places. Third cost for a dinner plate is not that expensive, I think i pay for normally around $ 7 for a plate with a good portion amount. My family favorites are happy family, sweet and sour chicken, hunnan chicken and orange chicken(comes spicy ask non spicy for the kidos).

So me and my coworkers ordered food from here. The sweet and sour chicken was good but we didn’t get the egg rolls that everyone ordered and they charged us for. This was our first time ordering from this place. Needless to say, it will be our last. First impressions DO count.

Okay, so this may not be where I’d go for authentic chinese food(or healthy food), but Rice Bowl does have its perks! 1, it’s really close to where I live, 2, for about $ 6 I can get pretty full with some left over, 3, it tastes pretty good! at least try their sesame chicken. Basically, great place for some fast, tasty, reasonably priced asian food.

Thought we’d give this place a try since we just got a flyer on our door recently. On a Monday evening at 7:40PM we call for a delivery order and the response we got, «Um, I’m sorry but we stopped delivery.» For good or what? The reply, «The delivery guy is out and we are not sure when he is going to be back.» Really? She proceeded to apologize to which I would say, maybe you should take another look at your business model and decide whether or not you are in the right business. One call and you have just lost a customer for good.

Our company received a menu from them saying that they deliver…“GREAT!” We gathered all our orders and when I called in the order, I was placed on a long silent hold(approx. 10 minutes). I called back and was placed on another hold, but this time it was less(approx. 5 minutes). At the end of the day, it took me 25+ minutes of phone time to complete placing the order. I will not be placing any orders from them again. **Edit** Grand total was 42 minutes on the phone, most of it was spent waiting and listening to the lady who took the order remind me that, «We have other customers.» I understand that there are other customers, but I guess it’s too much to expect average customer service from this place. Had this been my large order of food, I would have been like, «Ok, cancel this entire order and go tend to your other customers. I’ll just take my business elsewhere.» Now we get to wait for 45 mins — 1 hour for our food, which like a reasonable person, I can understand(large order = more time).

Sometimes you’re just looking for that really greasy, salty, not-really-Chinese-food-but-nice-effort fried rice with some chicken dish. That was me, Friday night, 9PM. My roommate pulls up to the parking lot, we fear for our lives for a little bit because of all the yelling that’s going on in the parking lot, and hurry into the restaurant. You’re not going to get real Chinese food. The only Asian person in that place was me. It was basically a sketchier and unhealthier version of Panda Express, which was exactly what I was going for. I don’t understand my cravings for not-Chinese-Chinese-food, but give me the benefit of the doubt. The Kung Pao chicken was actually good and quite spicy. Lots of zucchini, carrot, and water chestnut, chicken and peanuts, although I feel like their pieces of chicken could’ve been smaller. It had that artery-clogging flavor I was going for, and I didn’t even use the chili oil I requested, sill-ily thinking I would need it. It’s primarily a take-out place, as there’s no room for anyone to sit down. It’s just as well – to stay and eat would mean to keep an eye on your car to make sure no one’s trying to steal it.

If I could rate this place negative stars, I would. Normally I try to find the good in every establishment that I visit even when there are challenges. So my apologies for being mostly negative. You’ll understand why in a minute. My first visit here, I enjoyed part of what I had: crab rangoon and egg drop soup. Not hard to mess up, right? Also had wonton soup, but didn’t care for the flavor of the broth. I’ve gotten soup here a couple more times, no change in experience. Monday of this week, however, things changed for the absolute disgusting. Ordered an egg roll, crab rangoon, egg drop soup and wonton soup. Yes, I like soup, clearly. Also like Americanized/Mexicanized(yes, that’s a real thing in Texas) Chinese food, but haven’t ventured to try it here yet, nor will I after Monday’s experience. Egg roll/crab rangoon, were ok. Just needed something quick to eat before studying. I noticed when I went to pick up my food that as the person was ladling the egg drop to the container it had a little green tint. Didn’t think anything of it because I assumed that they had added scallions in as so many places do. Boy was I wrong. I got home and noticed the soup looked discolored through the lid. When I opened it, there was some gross smell and the eggs looked greenish/black. My only regret is that I did not immediately think to save it and call the health department after taking pics. My flight or fight reflex must have kicked in because without thinking I threw it in the sink and rinsed it down the drain. I was gagging from the stench. Needless to say I didn’t try the wonton again since most of the time, the noodles contain pork. Felt a little too risky. The only thing I can say is to forewarn you about this place… if the cook managed to cook with a rotten/expired egg and didn’t see that it was rotten before cooking, during cooking or after cooking, what else do you think goes on at this place? Thank goodness I didn’t actually eat this stuff. Will never go back. Disgusting.

Even for the price its«Meh.» I don’t like it. I’ve had it like five times over the past year because my coworkers can’t find another place to order from, but now that I’ve given them options I ain’t ordering from here again(and I doubt they will either). Its just too fatty, salty and low quality. Even the shrimp tastes rubbery!
