Good food. Great hookah. They only get three stars because they charged me twice and I had to call and go through hoops to get the extra charge off of my credit card.

I’ve been here a few times and the food and service has been good every time. Not the usual Greenville crowd(a good thing.)

Definitely not a place i would return to – except for the pita. Chicken schwarma was dry and lacking sauce, lettuce salad should not have been served, hummus was an embarrassment to middle eastern cuisine. Beef kafta were so small the looked like pinky fingers, especially compared with the photo of the menu item. I brought my concerns to the manager who listened patiently and i believe he was as dismayed as we were. Bread was decidedly the best item. I couldn’t understand why anyone would leave their serving to be trashed. Unless some serious action is taken this place should close, but given its location, it may be around long enough for someone else to be turned off to an entire milieu of cuisine.

If you’re looking for a great change of pace from the more uppity restaurants on the Greenville strip, this is for you! VENUE: when i heard«hookah» as part of the name I was a little worried I would be eating in an environment where the smells of the various flavored of hookah would over power my food. Nope. I was so wrong. There is a designated patio for hookah smoking and eating if you so choose. The inside is nice and cool, clean, bright, and welcoming. The ambiance is casual and when my friend and I walked in, we were allowed to choose our seats. Booth for us! There’s a tv but it wasn’t on, so I imagine for major sporting events or by request they’ll have it on. Instead we enjoyed ethnic music playing as the smells of freshly baked meat pies were pulled from the oven. FOOD/DRINK: their water tastes great — cold and you can’t taste the tap. spicy hummus — it wasn’t spicy at all, but it did have a nice twist of flavor from your standard hummus. I suggest it if you like hummus but find it a bit bland. Pita — it was piping hot and fresh right out of the oven. I’m not even kidding. When you tear it open heat releases from it in such an elegant way which you’ll appreciate if you don’t drop the pita right away due to the heat. Meat pie — I wasn’t that impressed with the flavoring of the meat but I didn’t like the crust and the fact that the pie wasn’t greasy like come places tend to do. Side of tabouleh — SUPER fresh. Like you can taste the plantness of it. It was not my favorite but it was a nice addition to cut on the meatiness of everything else. LAMBGYRO — just do it. The sauce was perfect. Not too tangy or pungent with right consistency. The lamb was tender and amazingly flavored. And the wrap of course was freshly baked. When I return I will ask for more lamb because it is that good. SERVICE; everyone was friendly. It took a little bit for food to come out at first but when we realized it was because they were literally pulling things out of an oven and making everything so fresh, we were quick to forgive. Also everything tasted amazing. I paid for everything including a shish kabob for my friend and our bill was about $ 35. Not too bad. I also went home with left overs :)

Amazing food and service, would definitely be back to this authentic Lebanese restaurant. Orderd falafel and beef Shawerma sandwich seasoning was perfect best in Dallas.

Good People! In every instance that I’ve been here, they make me feel at home. They make sure that everything is to my liking — excellent food — and even remember who I am. As I said, they are good people, and I’m happy to support them.

Mediocre food, good service, nice patio. My husband and I ate here on date night and I highly regret it. We could’ve had way better Mediterranean in the suburbs where we live such as Alibaba, Afrah, Zizikis, Platia etc. We picked Quriah coz we were down here but wish we had gone to some of the other stellar eateries like HG Supply & Sundown at Granada. If you sit indoors, it’s bright, no music and plain boring on a Friday evening. Disappointed.

This review is mainly for the quality of the food, because all I have gotten here is takeout. I do want to dine in soon, though, because I have seen that patio, and it looks so inviting! The food… DAMN. It is some seriously tasty stuff, folks. If you want good, rich Lebanese food, this is the place. My entrée of choice is the Shish Tawook(chicken skewers), with rice. The chicken has the most awesome char on it… just how I like it! Their spicy hummus is bomb… super rich, creamy, and not too spicy to enjoy. Their pita is pillowy, soft, and always tastes like it just came out of the oven, not the warmer. My most recent discovery there was the fried cauliflower. Interestingly, I expected it to be breaded and fried, but it wasn’t…just the tips were lightly golden, and it was absolutely delicious. The icing on the cake is that they do not use styrofoam clamshells to package their food. It’s all packaged with paper, aluminum, and plastic. All recyclable!(MAJOR bonus points) One thing I must warn you about — this food is HEAVY on the garlic. I had to brush my teeth and rinse with mouthwash twice, and even then I felt I could still taste garlic in my mouth. Not a good place to go on a date(unless you both reeeeeaaallly love garlic), or if you have some major schmoozing to do afterward. Luckily for me, I don’t fall into either category, so bring on the garlic!

Great food and hookah. More than anything, the staff is friendly and accommodating. Especially nice with good weather.

The food here is so good! Wow. What to order… everything. But if your appetite is bigger than your stomach, and you need to settle for one or two things: chicken shwarma, lamb gyro and the lamb with rice are certainly the top 3 dishes in my book. The service was slow initially. My intern and I arrived. starving after a long day around town. It said they opened at 5PM, and we arrived a few minutes after. At first there was no one to seat us. After about a minute, a woman came from the back and told us we could choose any seat we wanted. From then on, she was pretty attentive though, taking our orders and explaining details of any dish we were interested in. I had a great time and will be back probably for a large dinner get together. It has all the perfect elements for hosting a birthday dinner, date night, etc. Hookah on the patio, prime location off of Lower Greenville, superb variety of foods and flavors(veggie/gluten free options included), not to mention lots of space!

I’ve had take out from this place but tonight was my first time dining in. The service was great! My friend and I took forever to decide what we wanted and the server was super nice to allow us additional time several times. He asked us if we had any questions about the menu. He also turned the heat up when I asked, being that it was cold inside. When the food came it was so good! I had the gyro wrap with the hummus. The wrap was a substantial size but it wasn’t heavy. The hummus had great authentic garlic & tahini flavor. The fresh pita bread is to die for! I left feeling satisfied but not stuffed.

I came here once for the Iftar buffet, which was out of this world and awesome, and later for dinner. The second time around, I got the shish kabab(I can never pass down lamb). The meal came with pita bread, which I dipped in my friends’ hummus. My friend then graciously offered to get some kanafeh and let us try it. And, let me be real, guys, I really liked it. It’s this cheese-wrapped pastry, soaked in syrup, and then has pistachios sprinkled on top. It’s like a soft, creamy version of baklava, and I know a lot of you guys are like«Ew, cheese in a dessert, no way,» but I will remind you that people eat cheese danishes ALLTHETIME. IT’S A DESSERTCHEESEOKAYGUYSJUSTTRYITALREADYJEEZ.

****NOTETHISREVIEWISFORTHEBUFFETONLY**** Two different types of hummus one spicy one normal, fattoush, tabbouleh, mansaf, maqluba, kafta kebabs, shawarma, all the sauces that are necessary tahini, toom, and hot sauce for whoever needs it. falafel, and I am sure I am missing some more items! I ate meat here like no other… I need to fill up on my protein to keep myself strong! I also asked the nice lebanese guy grilling the meat fresh, for«zayt zaytoon»(olive oil) and he gave me a container full of it for my hummus, and bread to dip in. Mint tea, is also offered free as a part of their Ramadan buffet! Coming from a mediterranean island I know good mediterranean food, and this buffet sincerely offers up amazing East Med food! It could be the fact that I came for an Iftar buffet, which is going on right now since it is Ramadan, and they are sure to have the best quality food for everyone fasting who has waited 10 hours or so to eat for the day, but I certainly hope they keep this quality going. The Spicy humus was too spicy for me, but I have weak girly spice level taste buds when compared to most Americans. the meat was all very good, and the toom(garlic sauce) was just as garlicky as I like! I can see how if you order a sandwitch with too much garlic sauce it would be a bad thing, this is the type of toom you have on the side and use to your discretion. I also ordered Arghila(hookah) and had a watermelon flavored which was very good, and they kept the charcoal coming, without delay! I love this. I never had to get anyone to come over with Charcoal because they continually checked themselves! Its a good thing I speak a bit of Arabic because as always happens at these places they assumed I was Lebanese and speak arabic to me… Which is fun because I like practicing my Arabic! :) While it is still Ramadan I recommend everyone come over for their Iftar buffet. As the food is definitely quality.

Nice, elegant restaurant and smoking lounge on the far south end of Greenville Avenue. Almost empty on a weeknight except for one other large party that soon left, so we had the interior to ourselves. Menu is a good selection of traditional Middle Eastern standards. Had the chicken shawarma platter with spicy hummus, vegetables and fried(actually, roasted) cauliflower and a few side dipping sauces, which is a good variety of food for the price. The shawarma amounted to just pieces of roast chicken, good but not the traditional dish I was expecting. Warm, billowy pita bread was happily refilled, and the falafel appetizers were excellent. Given the expansive patio seating out front, it looks like this place banks more on its hooka and live music than as simply a Lebanese restaurant. Overall, food was great but not the greatest, service was very good all around. Limited parking in nearby lots but it is available and free.

This place needs some serious help. I went here with a couple of friends to eat dinner on a Saturday Night. Me and my friend ordered a shawerma sandwich. I had a fattoush salad and she had the tabbouleh on the side. WOW. It really went downhill from there. We got our sandwiches. I took a bite, and I could feel my throat burning. They put way too much garlic in their garlic sauce. I looked over to see if it was just me but my friend was having the same problem as well. There was so much garlic in the sandwich they could have killed someone. My friend asked the waiter if he could get her another sand which without the garlic sauce. He told her he would ask his boss, who is probably the owner of the restaurant. He was conveniently sitting across the patio smoking his hookah. The waiter came back and told my friend that his boss said that if she wanted another sandwich she would have to pay for it. Due to their inability to accept fault, and their lack of customer service, I will no longer be a customer of here. The Unilocal reviews speak for the restaurant. If you want to be cheap, and have low quality food you will not make it in the restaurant world.

Visited this restaurant last Friday because the bestie had a groupon for $ 30 towards hookah(which you must purchase with the groupon, the regular hookah is $ 14.99) and food. We got the Qariah feast for two, which comes with three different kinds of kebabs, basically a lamb, ground sirloin, and chicken one. The platter is served with two sides. Here’s where things got a little confusing. We requested falafel as one of the sides. We had to pay extra. No big. We ordered spicy hummus for the other side. Now, according to the menu, the kebabs are served on a bed of rice. Our server returned from the kitchen and told us(this was before the food came out), that we could order a third side with the platter. We were jazzed and chose the cucumber tomato salad. Once the platter and sides arrived at the table, we were pleased until we realized the rice was missing. Huh? We asked the server about it and he apologized profusely, left, and never returned with the rice. When he came back the next time, he asked if we needed anything else and we were so confused. We decided to drop it. We could tell he was new, and that’s fine, especially because he was so nice, but towards the end it was a bit much. After we smoked the hookah and got our ticket, they’d charged us for the last side. I explained that we weren’t expecting to pay for the last side, because we were told it was included. The server came back telling me the $ 14.99 on the receipt was for the hookah. I already knew that and explained, again, the issue. The manager came over and listened to the issue, than said that the platter only comes with two sides. Thankfully he still omitted the salad and fixed the bill. After all, it was a misunderstanding. Despite that, we enjoyed the food. The falafels were heavenly, and had just the right amount of crunch once they’d cooled down a little bit. The crispy pita with the well-seasoned zatar dipping oil was soooo yummy. The spicy hummus had the perfect amount of heat and it was well-balanced, smooth, and creamy. The cucumber salad was good too. As for the kebabs, we liked the chicken and ground sirloin best. The pieces of lamb were really big and a little chewy. All of the meats could have been seasoned more. The restaurant is super pretty. It was beautiful inside, with booths, bistro tables, and regular sized tables. Everything is super clean. The outside patio is super comfy. Parking is free in the retail garage in the back, a definite plus. The hookah wasn’t bad. It ended up not really being our thing, but at least we tried it. We tried the Appletini flavor and were given a crash course on smoking it, lol. All in all a good place. Wasn’t the BEST, but for Dallas it was really good and I would go back!

I didn’t wanted to give any star for this place. Me and my friend went to have dinner at 10pm and we left hungry. I felt like I wasted my money going here. We ordered some hummus to start with which had no taste no salt!!! The bread that came with was good for few seconds while it was hot and after that it was hard as a rock! We also ordered Meat Pie. Which we didn’t like I also have posted a picture! So, the waiter comes by and asks us if we liked the meat pie and we said no! She picks it up and takes it back to the kitchen.(The funny thing is we just took a small bite and she charged us for the returned item! Unbelievable) The kabobs were very little and hard to chew ! The potatoes with garlic was not impressive! So all in all we ate some bread two pieces of meat and some rice! For a amount of $ 40!!! I would never return here again. Our waiter was not smiling at all felt like they didn’t want us there! You could hear the kitchen guys singing and talking!!! And not to forget that feels like you are eating in a football field with all the bright light. Don’t even try this place! Waste of money!!!

Ogh, Have to downgrade my excitement for this place. When I went back on a Friday, I had a different server, and she was not great. She probably had 6 tables, which is a bit much at one time, but once she was done giving us food, she peaced out never to return to let us order anything else(hookah, dessert, coffee, anything!). We had to flag down the gal who was shadowing her — not a good look for our actual waitress. She also messed up our order, but it was only the sides that were wrong, and it seems like the ipad system they use is the cause of that, not the server(it happened the time prior with a different server as well). Oh, and the waitress said they are no longer selling the cucumber yogurt salad, which was my primary reason for coming. ;/

Three-and-a-half stars would be more accurate, but I’m rounding up. Qariah wasn’t what I expected. Despite the name, «Restaurant & Lounge,» the interior of Qariah is more like a sterile diner. The only place you would want to lounge in is the outdoor patio, which is pretty charming, with lights strewn about. When my friend and I arrived here for dinner, we also had not realized the place was BYOB. We wanted wine, so we asked the waiter for the location of the nearest liquor store. He had no clue. My friend and I walked out in search of booze and found a liquor store literally next door. We returned to Qariah after getting our bottle of wine. We were initially bummed by the $ 10 corking fee posted in the menu. Fortunately, our waiter informed us that the corking fee applied only on Fridays through Sunday. Our adorably clueless waiter then broke our cork when opening the bottle. For dinner, my friend and I shared the falafels, gyro, spicy hummus, and fried cauliflower. It was a nice meal. Not spectacular, but good. On a side note, when we ordered the gyro, our waiter looked puzzled at first. He then corrected us, «Oh, you mean the ‘Jai-roh.’» Adorably clueless. In sum, I’d return to Qariah for the food or maybe if I wanted to chill out on a patio. I wouldn’t come here if I wanted more of a scene or something lively — there were very few people there on the Wednesday night we went.
