Convenient for work lunches. I haven’t tried many things from here but always seem to order the quesadillas. Staff loves their taco salad and chicken tortilla soup. In line I saw someones nachos and they looked pretty legit. Free chips and salsa, food seems fresh and the line moves quickly and very affordable for lunch.

I use to eat there when I worked at Pacific Avenue. It is really good! Both the mediterranean grill and the tex-mex side. Great value!

If you have a craving for some Tex-Mex and you want to spend around $ 10 then this is your place. The Beef Taco Salad is my go-to every time. It is basic but oh so yummy! They make everything to order and they are quick! Think assembly-line style like Chipotle. If you get the salad make sure you ask for the guacamole(not extra) because they will not put it on there unless you ask. You also get a bag of chips and some salsa with anything you order. The chips and salsa alone are a reason to come eat here! And as the saying goes, if their salsa is good their food is good! Anytime someone says they are going to Poblanos in the office you can bet at least a few more people will jump on board to grab some food. I have also hear the tortilla soup is good but I have not personally tried that yet. Don’t expect anything fancy. This is just a quick and easy grab if you work downtown.

Maybe it’s just me, but this is delicious and quick Tex-Mex at very reasonable prices for a downtown lunch. I love the enchiladas with rice and beans. The tortilla soup is good and filling for an even cheaper option. Plus you get free chips and salsa, which are surprisingly good. One of my favorite affordable lunch options since I started working downtown.

I started working downtown a couple months ago, and since then I have been on a quest to find decent Tex-Mex or Mexican food downtown. So far my quest has been unsuccessful and today’s venture to Poblano’s is another in a long line of mild disappointments. Don’t get me wrong, Poblano’s is fine, but it joins all the other places I’ve eaten at downtown where the fare was mediocre enough that I probably wouldn’t go back. I got the nachos, which at least had real melted cheese instead of orange goo. It wasn’t quite as bland as Burrito Jimmy’s, but even the hottest salsa was still pretty tame. Since all the downtown places I’ve tried so far have had really bland salsa, maybe the restaurant owners all just think office workers are afraid of truly spicy food.

Food made when you order it kind of place(think Chipotle but way way less glitz). They have the basic Tex-Mex menu of burritos, tacos, and nachos. The chicken was real, but really boring. I was hoping that their existence in the same food court as Taco Bell meant they were worth the extra $, but I’m not so sure.

This place is fast and convenient, but it seems like they over charge me every other time I go(e.g. charge me for steak vs chicken) so I haven’t gone recently. Food is what you expect from a «fast food» place, but if you have a few extra minutes during your lunch break, I suggest you walk a block(or two) and head over to Sol Irlandes or Iron Cactus for your Mexican food fixing.

Good, quick, Tex-Mex downtown is harder to find than you might think, Poblanos offers just that. I eat here at least once a week and I’m never disappointed.
