I freaking love Pizza Getti, great classic old-school style pizza. You will think about it all the time. I love the mushrooms they use. The sauce is my favorite. All the toppings are freaking great. Really good salad bar with all homemade dressing… they even have pickled okra and a house made olive relish that is great on the salad. Great folks work there too… every time I go in they are super friendly and remember me. I think I have had all of the new fancy pizza in Dallas, Cane Russo, Zoli’s, Olivela’s…I mean they are good but I crave the old fashion style pizza with the crispy flaky crust that is not too thin but just right. Been around forever, Pizza Getti is an East Dallas institution. Now I want to eat this. I think I figured out dinner.

I love this pizza!!! Weird name for the best pizza in East Dallas. If you loved Pizza Inn back in the day, you’ll be in paradise.

This place is Amazing. My fiancé and I have been dining here for over a year now, and he’s been coming here since he was a teenager. His family absolutely adores this place and when you come in, you’ll see why. The pizza is awesome! It’s worth the drive if you aren’t from Dallas. We visit this place weekly for dinner or for a quick lunch. The lunch special is good and the spaghetti and garlic toast you get with it is the best. We usually order too much to take home and snack on later. They also have a dressing for your salad that’s garlic ranch and it’s delish! It’s a family own business that caters to the customer and it’s a little pricey, but worth every penny. You can’t ask for a better pizza.

I have eaten at lots of pizza restaurants in the Dallas/Collin Co. area and just can’t find a better pizza than Pizza Getti. It has the crispiest crust around. I don’t know if it is their recipe or their oven, but the pizza stays horizontal when you pick it up. I can’t find that at any other pizza place. I grew up in East Dallas and wish I had discovered this place sooner. The only downside is the neighborhood is a little rough, but the Dallas police eat there a lot, so that makes me feel safer when I am there. If you want just good pizza at a no-frills place, eat here! Wait staff always friendly also.

This is our go to pizza. Well, except for Sundays and Mondays. You know, the days that there is football on the t.v. and you don’t wanna cook? I digress.

My husband picked up dinner one night. Great food and the portions can feed two. The prices are a little on the high end.

A little family own business, the owner of the place is super friendly and provided great service. The pepperoni pizza was delicious and not oily at all. I personally recommend that everyone should give this place a try instead of the usual chain pizza places(Dominoes, Pizza Hut, etc) that are usually greasy.

This place is BYOB so load up and head over. It’s a small place with limited seating but the staff is extremely friendly. They could kind of tell we were first timers so we got a little history of the place. The pizza is fantastic. They make their own sauce. We ordered the extra large super deluxe I think is what it was called. Basically every topping they have on one pie. It’s just good pizza. Bring some beer have some delicious pizza w extremely friendly service. This place is worth trying out.

I recently moved to East Dallas and I have been looking for my go to pizza place. Well I think I have found it. I stumbled on a mention about Pizza Getti on a message board. I Google it and was surprised to find it was just down the road from me. I have ordered Pizza here several times. The pizza is always good. The crust is almost like a cracker, the sauce is good and there is not too much on the pizza. The staff is very friendly. Décor is standard old pizza joint. I have not had anything other than pizza here yet. I will update if I do try something else. So if you like thin crust and fresh ingredients. this is your place. It beats going to one of those chains that deliver and you can support a local small business and enjoy good pizza. Win win in my book.

Ok, nothing special, pizza wasn’t all that or as fresh as I expected. I did like the thin crust. Lovers or cigars blows it away imop. Need to try other dishes too so its more balanced. A good back up choice and better than all the crap name brands in the area

I started going to Pizza Getti in 1970. I have lived overseas and I have eaten in the finest restaurants all over the world, including in Italy, France, New York, Chicago, San Fran etc. Pizza Getti is the best. For what it is – no it’s not filet mignon, crispy oysters, and scallop atop a zucchini latke as i dined on last night in Austin. What is is is great pizza – great pizza of a certain type. Great spaghetti, simple but good salad bar, homemade garlic dressing etc. And yes, the soft drinks do taste better than anywhere else as another reviewer said. Not sure why. I drive 200 miles once in a while to reacquaint and I am never disappointed. I get a large spagh w/meatballs, w/the toast it comes with salad bar & a rootbeer. I order an XL sausage and mushroom pizza to go to refrigerate & eat while I am in Dallas for Br, lunch & dinner. I have never gotten a dessert to my memory. Yes the mushrooms are canned but they are DELICIOUS. Fresh mushrooms would not be right on this old fashioned pizza. Someone said this pizza is not«gourmet.» RIGHT! It’s not meant to be. It is old fashioned and delicious so go here when that’s what you want. Yes, if you want free range whatever or Kobe beef or capers or local goats milk cheese or a sunny side up quail egg or a reduction sauce & foam on your kashi crust panko pizza, and your big flourless chocolate dessert, no this is not the place for you.

Been eating here since I was a kid, heck, this may have been my first ever pizza! I dig it… it’s always cooked to order ready after 20 or so minutes after call-in, or 30 during Cowboys games(thanks for opening up on Sundays!) My only gripe is that they don’t use fresh mushrooms… other than that it’s greatness. I remember when my sister used to get a bowl of ranch to eat with her pizza! It was more like dipping the ranch in her pizza… plus they have a great garlic dressing. BYOB…but I never have… I just pick it up and BYOB to my house!

My pizza was really not very good. It tasted like an old Pizza Inn pizza. And it was expensive for what you got. A two-topping, large pizza was $ 20. I could’ve got a better tasting pizza for less at Lover’s Pizza(9440 Garland rd. suite # 162) or Cigarz Bona Pizza(7238 Gaston Ave). Sorry to say, but a $ 10 Pizza Hut pizza would have been better.

After being probed to do a little research on this place, it may be worth noting that most people really like Pizza Getti’s. If you check out the Google page it links to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Wasn’t my hidden treasure but it may be yours. Either way worth checking out just to support a local and long-standing family business.

When I moved to East Dallas 7 years ago, my neighbors were quick to ask if I’ve eaten at Pizza Getti yet. They all explained they’ve eaten there since they were children themselves, and that I needed to try it out. I’m sure am glad they told me about this place, because they have the best pizza I’ve ever had. When you arrive, you’ll always be greeted by one of the family members that’s owned the restaurant for decades. Go more than a few times and you’ll quickly know most of the employees, and the best part, they will remember you and probably what your favorite from the menu is. The pizza is cooked to your exact specifications, and no order is too complicated for them. There is also a small salad bar with all the essentials. You are more than welcome to BYOB, and they will set you up with wine glasses, or if you choose to be more discrete, they will even hook you up with a paper cup. Try this restaurant out for yourself… good food and good people.

Remember when pizza was, well, pizza? It was round with a nice, crisp bottom and side crust w/a bit of chew. You could order Canadian Bacon(not prosciutto, Culatello, pepperoni(not Bön Bocon, Copa of Parma), and it was hard to tell the difference(without tasting) between sausage and hamburger. The round pizza was cooked in an oven, not some 1500 degree wood burning brick contraption. Hey, I’m all for a Neapolitan, but sometimes I just get a bit nostalgic and need a good ol’ American version of the pizza pie. Look no further than Pizza Getti. They’ve been making the pizzas the same way since they were on Ferguson(they’ve since moved to Buckner some years ago). The original owner has since retired and left his able son, Kyle, at the helm. As I said, they make the pizzas you grew up eating. You can’t go wrong. It’s BYOB so bring a vino or a 6-pack(Kyle will keep the rest cold for you in his walk-in and refresh your empties when needed). It’s just north of I 30 on Buckner. Johnny Law, especially the tactical squad and narcotics officers, loves him some Pizza Getti. So, there’s always at least a table or 3 of the Boys in Blue; makes you feel safe eating next to the S.W.A.T. team. He’s has a modest salad bar and there’s a M-F lunch buffet. You’ll like the prices and love the pizza. Also, you’ll love the mom-n-pop feel of the place. The boys helping him make the pizzas(Graham and the rest) have been working there since they were 15. They’ve grown up and gotten real jobs, but come back and help out on busy nights and weekends.
