I love Pei Wei, but was disappointed with this particular visit. I placed an online order to be ready at 6:50pm and arrived promptly at that time. I didn’t receive my order until about 7:05 pm. I would be okay with this if it was addressed and handled professionally. Sadly, it wasn’t. Several other customers came in and were offered a drink while they waited. I never was. Nobody ever apologized to me. When my name was finally called, my order was simply handed over to me by a young female. No «thank you,» no «sorry about the wait.» To top it off, my food was cold.

They did I nice job with service. It’s too bad they don’t have free wifi. Their wonton soup was fabulous. They serve really good spicy rolls. I recommend anyone to try!

Convenient location, but parking can be difficult due to all the customers going to Starbucks. Food is always good and consistent. Service here is great and food comes out pretty fast. Seems like they upped their prices, but they offer small and regular sizes. I also like how you can customize your dish: rice, noodles, salad, etc. It’s great to be able to get exactly what you want! The soda machine is cool and I like being able to mix and match my soda flavors(sprite + lemon or orange).

Dont get the lettuce wraps, unless you only want ¼ of an order. This is the third time this has happened. This Pei Wei has a long ways to go on quality.

If I could give this particular Pei Wei a zero star, I would. As soon as we walked in the door it was wrong. The cashier could barely work the check-out system which is understandable, I can look past that but it just gets worse. There were like 7 options were out on the Coke machine, also not a huge deal but cmon it’s a chain restaurant. Also can’t find a single napkin. We sit down and my friends appetizer is brought out immediately, we get the potstickers every time they are usually awesome, this time they are burnt, like they had black on them. And then not two minutes her food is brought out. We wait. Another patron gets her food. We wait. FINALLY I get my food, teriyaki chicken fried rice. I get three pieces of chicken with barely any sauce and my veggies are uncooked. My friends Dan dan noodles were very watery. I love Pei Wei, I have been to them all over Dallas but I will never come back to the one on Preston. I feel like I’m judging them so hard because it’s a chain but dang. could have been so much better.

This place is Wei above 2 ½ stars. I pass by another Pei Wei to come to this one. The sauce to food ratio is perfect and portions are always large. I always order either the Thai Dynamite or the Caramel Chicken with brown rice. I could eat here every day if I could afford it. You can taste every ingredient they put into the dishes. It’s well worth the price. My 2 year old son loves it too!

Personally, I really like this place. They’re close to my house. The food is inexpensive and ready fast when ordering takeout. However it does not have the best environment. When eating in, the staff can be scarce and slow. But the food is consistent and I do enjoy picking up my dinner from there.

VASTLYIMPROVED!!! Food is far and away better — back to the quality one used to expect from Pei Wei. It looks like there is new and much beret management and possibly ownership. The décor is still a bit run down — dirty floors and not very clean booths/chairs and that is why I’m giving it only 3 stars instead of 4. Staff is much improved also: friendly, courteous, and helpful. We will be back again and glad to have a decent Pei Wei around the corner. It’s been too long!

Going downhill fast. Presentation poor. Food quality less than it has been. Service mediocre

This was pretty standard Pei Wei experience… the Shrimp Pad Thai was good, the kids Shrimp Lo Mein was gobbled up. This is probably the oldest(or maybe just beat up?) location I’ve been to. I’ve also ordered take-out from this location and it was a great experience also!

I was the first in the cue(according to automated message) to place a to go order, yet it took over 5 min for them to answer the phone. When I asked why so long to answer the phone, I was told they had to pull someone from kitchen to answer because too busy at 1:40 pm and understaffed. Then I’m informed that it is their protocol to ignore the phone until they have finished taking orders in store. So apparently Pei Wei trains their people to not even pick up the phone and say ‘hold please’ until they have nothing else to do at the front register? And to go orders are so unimportant they are last priority? Btw, we’ve seen them, in person, ignore the phone as they stand there and chat. Can’t imagine with that lack of training or care, and overall lazy and unorganized practices, what/how they are preparing our food. Not getting my money!

Let me begin by saying we love Pei Wei… Just not this location. We usually go to the Pei Wei on park and midway and have been to many Pei Wei locations. This is by far the worst. First when we walked in we heard the manager(?) bitching out the cooks with a nasty attitude. You can tell the cooks love working for her. Second, the place was so dirty. We went on a Wednesday night and was not crowded at all. I can understand when things get busy it’s hard to keep up with the cleaning but the employees were standing around talking and doing minimal work. The floors were sticky, seats had food crumbs all over, etc… We ordered crab wontons like we have at other locations a million times before. Totally burned. Almost black. Food was fine, like other Pei Wei locations. Last thing I promise. If you come here after 4pm, there are about 2 tables that aren’t effected by the terrible glare coming off the windows. You think I am being picky but seriously, I ate my meal while being blasted by the glare that the sun shades didn’t catch. We tried finding tables that weren’t positioned like that but the two were taken. Kinda crazy how disappointed we were with this location considering our love for this chain.

I’m so disappointed at the way this location has gone downhill recently. The place is always very very dirty, getting food to go takes an extra long time and they never seem to be staffed appropriately. When I was there tonight, my salad came without dressing, then they gave me the wrong dressing so I had to get up two times to talk to someone. Then I saw the busser eating a cookie on the food line. So gross. So sad because this used to be our favorite place. Especially when it first opened. Feels like the company is operating penny wise and pound foolish.

I love Pei Wei but this was a bad experience. There’s a reason this place is empty at 7. They were understaffed to handle walk ins and take out. When we went to the dining room the tables were cleared but there was food and trash all over the floor and tabletops. Had a hard time finding a clean place to sit. We ordered two spring rolls and pei Wei spicy chicken. They both sat up at the prep area finished for ten minutes. The employees were too busy taking orders and fulfilling takeout to be I got us our food in the dining room it all came at once barely warm and the order was wrong bringing white rice instead of brown rice. I never say anyone attempt to clean up the dining room and my silverware was dirty. Won’t go back to this location. Also servers were angling food with long hair not pulled back.

If you’re eating here, stick to the originals — fried rice/noodles and lettuce wraps. The sushi taste like it’s from the grocery store and the wonton soup is lemony… Yes, lemony ! Tables and booths are sticky too.

I really love this location. It’s close to my house, to go orders take less than 15 minutes and there’s no problem finding parking. My main issue is the staff. I’ve called in on two different occasions to place orders in the last few months. Both times the orders have been incorrect. And I’m not talking just one item, it’s like they are trying to give us someone else’s order that isn’t even close to ours. This last time I ordered the Kung pao chicken, gluten free spicy chicken and a pork egg roll. When I got there the woman read my order to me and said«one sweet and sour chicken and one gluten free sweet and sour chicken.» I told her what I had ordered and she said«no that’s not right.» I’m pretty sure I know what I ordered so please don’t tell me I’m wrong. She went on to argue with me telling me that’s not what I ordered. I don’t like sweet and sour chicken so why would I order two of them?! After a few minutes she finally gave up trying to argue and told me she would hanger the order. I waited an additional 15 minutes and finally got my food. Everything came out perfect flavor wise. The food here is great. I just wish the staff would pay attention when taking orders and not argue with a customer telling them they’re wrong and don’t know what they ordered. Not the best business practice.

One star given only because I have to. Service is poor, orders were mixed up, silverware dirty and to top it off, the server had the nerve to put a fork that she dropped on the floor back in the tin with the«clean» forks. Will not come back…

Used to live a block from here so was back here shopping after two years. Location has gone down. Ordered honey chicken with extra chicken and received a kids meal portion. Order was wrong and took 28 minutes from order to exit. NOBODY could care less. Even the order taker said he was sick of pei Wei. I have never ever paid extra for less. And I used to love this location. Saddened.

The food here is usually fast and consistent. They are constantly updating the menu with seasonal dishes that are fun until you’re ready to go back to the old standby. We love the Kung Pao that is just spicy enough and the peanuts are perfect. One warning. Deep fried meat covered in sauce is murder on blood sugar control.
