The VERYBESTNY style pizza in Dallas. Too bad they closed and now only available in Addison. It’s a taste of NY city when you walk through the doors and buy a slice of pie. So worth it!

I’m very sad about the Dallas location closing. If you want their pizza you’ve got to take a road trip to Addison :(. GREAT pizza worth 5 stars but i’m taking away 3 starts for making me go so far north for food.

Best place in Dallas to get a quick slice of pizza. I love the neighborhood it’s in too. I hear that it can get busy during the workweek at lunch hour, I haven’t been there during that rush. But I have been at less crowded times, and I have to say, the place can be quite relaxing. Especially on a nice day, that part of Hall can be a great place to sit down and get a quick meal and just hang out. Too bad it’s not open during the drunken hours on the weekends. It would be a way better place than some of the other joints that serve pizza after hours.

It takes a lot to impress me with pizza. I’m just not a fan of it, but when I get a craving… it’s on like Donkey Kong. I was just out of the gym from trying Body Combat, so I was feeling my inner street fighter and needed some sustenance. Pastazios is on the way home and I knew had ready to go slices, so I stopped in for a quick grab. It wasn’t exactly quick, but hey — pizza does need to be warmed up. I ordered up a slice each of cheese, pep & shroom, and meat lovers; and a side of garlic cheese bread with a side of marinara. The marinara is a little too sweet for me(reminded me of the jarred stuff you get at the store), and when they re-heated the pizza it made the crust all crispy and cracker like. I like my crust a little mushy and soft — but I’m not docking them any credit for doing it how they wanna do it. The cheese didn’t stick to the garlic bread, so when I got home and pulled it apart the cheese came off in one sheet. I had to microwave it to get it to melt into the bread and stick. Blech. Overall, I paid fourteen buckaroos for 3 slices and some garlic bread. A bit pricey? Me thinks so.

I only get single slices at a time — the pizza is way to good to buy whole pizza pies, you’ll end up eating the whole thing. Definitely one of the best pizza places i’ve had in dallas, granted it’s prob not as good as authentic NY pizza, but it’s up there, definitely will be back there again.

Generally agree with the prior reviews, but wanted to add a few notes to help when picking a pizza place. Parking — You can park in the apartment building parking just behind the restaurant. They have a section marked off for retail. Atmosphere — This isn’t the upscale pizza place such as Coal Vines or Fireside. This is more of a step up from Sbarro, such as a Qdoba to Taco Bell or Burger House to McDonalds. That may be inferred by the pizza by the slice comment, but just to be clear. Hope that helps.

I used to come here often when I worked on Akard in downtown. I love there pizza,.great crust. good toppings. Hard to find parking, but worth the wait or search. Love the pasta. but the pizza is the main fare. They have one in addison that I go to often as well. Love the food and service.

Best Pizza by the slice in the city. I’ve tried just about every pizza they have to offer, and they are all delicious — fantastic topping quality. Also they do takeout and delivery, though i recommend having several people on hand if you’re getting a whole pizza, usually 3 slices of their pizza fills me up like eating an entire large at another place.

I have been waiting to find a good pizza-by-the-slice near me, and here was this one all along! We went pretty late so there wasn’t much left. I had a slice of supreme, and my guy had a slice of alfredo pizza with roasted red peppers(and maybe mushrooms I think). They were both pretty decent, I liked the crispy crust. I’d definitely go again just because I often crave one slice of pizza. I think it was like 10 bucks for two slices and a Peroni. I am pretty curious to see how their delivery pizza is, I bet it’s pretty good – I’ll report back once I try it!

Best pizza I have had since leaving NY. Haven’t tried the subs yet but will next time around. Have done delivery and eaten there. Eating there — service was friendly and quick. Delivery was quick and delivery guy was pretty cool. Highly recommend for east coast transplants.

If you are looking for pizza by the slice, Pastazios can fit the bill. Their salads are good and their garlic bread is good.

This is one of my favorite pizza joints in the country. The crust has just the right amount of bite and taste. The ingredients are top notch. And I absolutely love the meatballs that they make. Plus add in the very reasonable prices and you have a great pizza place!

I’m surprised that I’ve never written a review of this place before. I order from here all the time. As of a few months ago they are no long affiliated with the Pastazio’s in Addison. But the pizzas still taste the same. Nice crust, slightly chewy and good quality ingredients. I always order a MOPS(mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, and sausage) and it was all very good except the sausage. This was definitely not Italian sausage. This tasted like breakfast sausage. It really threw me and I found it disconcerting. The spaghetti was gross. There’s no way to qualify that statement, it was just bad. The salad was mediocre. But if you want a good pizza that will be delivered piping hot, this is not a bad place to order from.

OMG. YES! YES! YES! Their pizza is so good and I would definitely put this up there with the kind you can get in New York. My favorite is the ham and pineapple and it was scrumptious! They are a little spendy but it’s well worth the splurge.

Slices. I’m a single girl and I don’t always want a whole pizza — that’s why i love Pastazio’s. For me it’s the Spinach Alfredo or Cheese Slice. It’s a couple bucks, a couple minutes in the oven and I’m happy.

So after my fiasco with Rocco’s a few nights ago( ), which did not attend to my pasta craving needs, I decided to give Pastazio’s a try since they deliver to my area as well. I was initially concerned when I called in to place the order. The guy had a heavy accent and I kept wondering if he’d get the order right. You know when someone says something to you and it takes you a minute of silence to run through your brain and come up with a reasonable interpretation that is within the context of the actual conversation — that is what our time on the phone was like. He said it would be 35 – 40 minutes but they made it here in about 25 — that was nice… and in fact, the order was correct. Due to my pasta craving and the inability to boil water without my stove, I went for pasta again, knowing it would end up overcooked due to the steam time in transit. Even so, this wasn’t bad. I ordered the linguine with white clam sauce which was well sauced, lots of chopped clams; could have had a little more garlic and parsley, though. The pasta was definitely past al dente, but not as limp as Rocco’s, which may mean that if you order it in house it is actually not overcooked. It wasn’t the best linguine with clam sauce I’ve had, but it was edible and satisfied the pasta craving for a while(hopefully until my stove gets fixed). The pasta comes with a side of bread — standard Italian loaf sans butter or garlic. Salad must be ordered separately. I ordered a Ceasar salad, which was marginal. A big pile of romaine that had been dressed at the restaurant so was limp by the time it got here, a handful of croutons, and a sprinkle of parmesan. Definitely not worth the $ 6 they charge and can’t imagine this is any better in house than via delivery, so would skip their salads.(Actually, the dressing at Rocco’s was better.) Also got a mushroom, garlic, and onion pizza for back up just in case the pasta was inedible. Didn’t really need it, but ate one slice anyway which was quite good. Clearly miles better than your typical delivery options so this will likely become my pizza deliverer of choice. Nuked some for breakfast, and it is still good(can’t do the cold pizza at breakfast thing). So, 1 star for the salad, 2 stars for the pasta, 3 for the pizza, and since most people are saner than I(or at least less desperate), and would never actually order pasta delivered, I’ll give the place the benefit of the doubt at 3 stars.

Pizza might just be the perfect food. Dough, cheese, tomatoey sauce … yumm. And Pastazio’s does a damn good job of perfecting the combo. Their pizza is really doughy(just the way I like it), but thin and crispy on the bottom, with just enough sauce. It smells HEAVENLY, and would tempt even the strictest NY pizza snob. I agree with Meredith H., this place wouldn’t win a top rating in NYC, but heck, for Dallas it’s tops. It’s cute inside, too, and the proprietors seem nice and accommodating. Garlic bread(topped with cheese) was lacking in flavor, but no complaints about the pizza. I’d order from them anytime. Prices were reasonable, too. Parking kinda sucks in the area, also pointed out by Meredith H., but we scored some street parking next to a nearby apartment complex.

Definitely one of my favorite places to break the diet and grab some pizza. Casual, not a scene, a cool location, and very good pizza(the stromboli is good too). On a nice day sit out front on the sidewalk and watch the dogs(and their owners) stroll by.

While this spot may not rake in five stars in New York City, it sure is close in Big D(4.5). It has been hard to find pizza in this city that is worthy of a «Wow». However, Pastazios does just that. The cheese is super rich, but not so rich that it takes away from the tangy tomato sauce and super fresh doughy crust. The garden salad is not really worth mentioning but the pizza, oh man, was it good! The crust was so delicious and the perfect consistency with enough gooeyness to make you want to gobble up every bite. I had a slice(huge, by the way) of pepperoni, mushroom, black olive and jalapeño pizza. By the time I was finished, I seriously considered another piece even though I was super full. You can get pies in any size or order by the slice. They have pasta dishes but I have not given them a try. Parking is terrible so just grab a spot on a side street and walk on over. It is cafeteria line style like NYC and there are a dozens of toppings to choose from.
