Parkland Health & Hospital System

I have never been a patient, but I am a Women’s health nurse practitioner. In early spring 2012 they had almost 20 positions available for which I was qualified, so I applied to about 15 of them. Months go by without anything more than the initial email which states «don’t call on the status of this application as this may have an adverse effect on considering you for the position» or something to that effect. IE, don’t call and bother us about where you are in the process.
In November of 2012, (10 months after applications submitted) I actually got a call back from someone in nursing recruitment wanting to schedule an interview for 1 of the 15 positions. Umm, I accepted another position with a different company in May 12 since I NEVER HEARD A WORD FROM PARKLAND HR!!!
In my opinion, their hiring process is unacceptable and needs serious improvement. Qualified applicants should not be left hanging without any communication for months on end. My first impression of this place tells me that timeliness and professionalism are not part of the culture.
