This has to be one of the best airport restaurants in the nation. The staff seem to know they are serving great food and serve it with a certain«confidence» and pride knowing you will like it. I had a great meal and avoided all the tempting fried menu without feeling at all that I had cheated myself. Blue points, gumbo and a terrific beefsteak tomato salad YUM

Located in Terminal A, close to Gate A24, this place is one of the best airport restaurants that I’ve dined at. Yes, it comes with a hefty price tag, but it actually feels like a real restaurant with a really wide variety of seafood, and the quality and taste is excellent. You’ll probably want to skip this place if you’re vegetarian, as there are not a ton of vegetarian options on the menu. If you like seafood, your head will spin with indecisiveness since everything looks good. It’s probably not the healthiest of dining options in the world with all the fried crawfish//fish, etc but hey, you’re in Texas /in the South — and there are several healthier options that you can still get off the menu. Take the escalator down and you’ll almost forget you’re even in an airport. They do have free WiFi for their guests, so you can do work while you eat if you want. The service was pretty exceptional — almost better than most other restaurants I go to, with a very attentive server that wanted to know when my flight was, made sure I had enough water, kept checking on me, and even called me by name once I had handed over my credit card. As for food, I went for the crispy salmon with grilled shrimp, crab meat and one scallop($ 32.89) — it was a little on the pricey side, but it’s seafood, and the portion size was decent. I’ve had smaller portions and worse-tasting meals at similar price points outside of the airport, and $ 30 seemed fair for a piece of seafood. The salmon was delicious — granted it was drowning in a pool of butter, but it was some of the best salmon I’ve had in a long time. It was perfectly seared and crispy, and came with 3 pieces of really delicious grilled shrimp on top. Also, not sure where the crab meat was — I found 2 little shreds of crab meat, but it was like playing Where’s Waldo in my dish. Also, there was no grilled scallop on top either, unless someone ate it while it was en route to my table, or it magically disappeared. It came over sauteed spinach, which was also tasty. I also ordered the gumbo($ 8.99 for a bowl), but don’t think I would get it again or recommend it. It was a bit on the salty side, and spicy, so if you have low-spice tolerance, beware. I like spicy foods, but just didn’t care for this soup, especially not at the hefty $ 9 price-tag. I still had a great meal, and it was $ 45 before tip, which is expensive, but not outrageous for seafood or for an airport restaurant. I’d definitely come back here again — they had 2 salads that looked delicious, along with other varieties of fish, and lots of appetizers and things to share if you’re with more people. If you have more than 45 min for your layover, make a trip here — it’s one of the better finds at DFW.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. I was born and raised in NOLA. Live on the Gulf Coast. This food is authentic, real and outstanding. Great representation of South Louisiana cuisine.

Never been to Texas before. Hook em horns! Sic em Bears! The hotter the heat, the hotter the steel. No pressure, no diamonds. Got on my suede shoes, I’m in a great mood. I’m feeling swaggy after my time in Mexico with some fine mamis. Actually I almost didn’t make it out of Mexico gh. I threw away some documents or something because I’m a scrub. Then I had to do all this extra work with the customs officials. Whatever I made it to the USA! I’m walking around with a fat wallet because the Mexican peso is extremely weak, and I’m looking somewhere to flex for Instagram. Some busta convinces me to look at the menu, which includes items such as Maryland style crab cakes. Now I’m not one of those Maryland bros who says«Crab cakes and football, THAT’S WHATMARYLANDDOES!» Nah only Annapolis simps say shit like that. Or some Eastern Shore douche. Gh I give this place a chance because I cise the lobster even though I’m in Texas right now gh. The hostess here is stupid bad, first of all. Girl you know I love the way you shake it in them jeans. I must have surreptitiously copped four good looks of her. I end up getting the strawberry lemonade because I’m thirsty for something fruity. Sure why not. I also get the lobster and shrimp salad. It’s whatever man. I learned to not try to be all fancy at the airport with some Filipino hostess and expensive entrees. The salad is simply some Greenland iceberg wack lettuce, some chincy Mexican avocado, and hardly any cashews. This jaunt cost me $ 45. I got Qdoba after this meal

Great if you have at least a 90 minute layover. This is a real, sit down restaurant, so don’t expect fast food service. Boss ordered the pricy lobster and shrimp salad. I wanted to steal the lobster off the plate when she wasn’t looking, but I held back. I got the grilled shrimp salad. Perfect for what I wanted and very generous serving. Lots of plugs everywhere for travelers who needed to charge electronics. Our server was adorable.

Stopped here for my layover. First off… the ambience was great. Jazz music playing. Nice pictures on the wall. And I was immediately as I came in. I ordered the crab cakes and crab Mac n cheese and 1 piece of garlic bread. My food didn’t take long at all. The crab cake had large chunks of crab meat. good size portion. The mac n cheese was rich. And that had alot of crab meat in top. the garlic bread was your average garlic bread. But overall the food was very good.

Great lobster and shrimp salad. Service was very good. I’ll be back. Closer to $$$ than $$, but worth the price.

Best restaurant in DFW. It’s downstairs across from gate A25. The seafood is excellent. Service at the bar is very fast.

My son and I were connecting gates through dfw when we walked by this restaurant. While we were headed to salt lick for bbq, this restaurant caught our eye. Its sunken below concourse level and looks like a normal restaurant. We decided to split the fried alligator, crawfish etoufee, shrimp and crawfish fondue and a bowl of seafood gumbo. It wasn’t new Orleans, but best airport food i have had in a decade. Service was outstanding, Perla executed five star service at the DFW airport.

I’ve always heard stories of Pappadeaux from family and friends from Texas and Louisiana. I see they told the absolute truth. This place is great! The Po’ Boy was everything I hoped it be. I have to try one in Louisiana whenever I make it there.

This is my favorite restaurant in DFW airport. It’s a quiet place. It’s seating is very comfortable. The service is always great. I love the oysters, they are always fresh and the sauces are perfect. The menus has lots of variety, and I love trying different items each time. I’ve not been disappointed yet! Today I’m trying the Shrimp brochettes.

We were coming through DFW in the evening and needed something to eat. We found a Pappadeaux ‘s at gate A25. We got some Shrimp Gumbo. It was great ! What more can I say?

Hanging here as tornadoes dance in the sky above DFW. We’ve been in the air for 24 hours back from South Africa. We really just want to be back home in Tulsey, but the flights are all jacked up right now. Thankfully, this place serves pretty good Cajun food and pours a good cocktail. Fun atmosphere. Good place to hide from a tornado!

I was really craving gumbo, so I decided to give this place a try. The gumbo was really delicious — I was still hungry, so I ordered the fried shrimp meal. My server Corey recommended that I try it with lemon pepper — great recommendation! Overall, the food was great! Corey was AWESOME! Very welcoming attitude. Thanks for the great experience!

Tommy N was an outstanding server. He was attentive, informative and prompt. I enjoyed the shrimp/crawfish appetizer, it is really rich and I’d probably avoid next time if I dine solo. It can feed a family. The Flounder dish was 10⁄10. Really flavorful, large portions, hot and it came with two side dishes. Quite wonderful. This is a high end, high quality restaurant in DFW. Great gem. Plus the service was stellar!

Had a fairly decent layover in Dallas airport. I sat at the bar and ordered Lobster Bisque. It was pretty good, it was hot and creamy with chunks of lobster. B. Service was friendly and the place was clean. It had a great vibe and a cool décor. I only ended up leaving because the d-bag at the bar needed to have an audience while he talked on his phone.

Enjoyable escape from the busyness of the airport concourse. The décor is reminiscent of an 1920’s transatlantic ocean liner. We had the delicious Crispy Atlantic Salmon accompanied by the McPherson Viognier from Texas(wine from Texas?!) Both were excellent. This is traveling first class.

This is like Airport+ food, normally airport food is pretty bland and ubiquitous, but this is a treat to a weary road warrior who often has a hard time keeping track of which airport he is in. This location had a lot of construction around it when i went through and a bit hard to find as it is located in the basement of the DFW airport by gate A25. There was a stand that caught my attention but there was no one there to welcome or direct me. When I got down to the restaurant floor, I grabbed a seat at the bar as it wasn’t crowded and it seemed like the quickest way to order and get food. I ordered the crawfish etoufee, one of my go to favorites, it was good. But I felt rushed from the beginning of the meal to the end although it was not busy at all. Also the airport extra cost of a standard Pappadeux’s meal hurts the pocket a bit hard as well.

I usually eat at Pappadeaux when I am at DFW airport. It is probably the best restaurant in the airport. However, I give a three star to warn about the shrimp and crab cocktail. While it is very tasty, it is only a few bites. For $ 15, it is not a good value at all. $ 8 – 9 would be the most I would pay for this given the portion size. I don’t want to discourage anyone from eating here in general. Most of their dishes are very good. However, the shrimp and lump crab cocktail is underwhelming.
