Meal Delivery! A+ In our house we have very different schedules and it’s difficult to consistently have a healthy meal choice available that’s the appropriate portion size too. I started ordering from the other place, but it got frustrating because even with pre-order I was still standing around for 45 minutes waiting for the weeks meals. And we were throwing them out because they would go bad before we could eat them. I love my private chef for the variety of recipes, and that it comes fresh made frozen. Super easy to reheat and stage lunch/dinner from the freezer. I order a week at a time and it’s always great food with satisfying portions. We love it all, and you can also customize if you need something special. Recommend! Good for maintenance eating if you’re at your goal weight and for fat loss too.

Underground Dinner. Sounds mysterious, fun and perhaps a bit shady. They’re getting pretty popular around Dallas and I had the privilege to enjoy one of these dinners with my friends this past weekend with Chef Holly at the helm. Leading up to the event we were asked if we had any food allergies so no one would be left out. This venue is BYOB so we were told to bring certain types of beverages for the best pairings. Took the guess work out! We got there and were given a shot of some homemade apple flavored liqueur to get everyone in the mood. Chef Holly came out to introduce herself and set our expectations, which meant she was going to keep her plates a mystery up until the time they were served. Pretty much the only thing we knew was that we were about to partake in a 5 course meal. Before each course was brought out Chef Holly would explain what we were about to eat and a little background on the ingredients and the style of cuisine. As someone that watches a lot of cooking shows it was interesting to hear about the ingredients and methods used in each dish. Everything was really good with the main course being the best thing. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better piece of pork in my life. It was so tender that you could cut it with your fork and it was really tasty considering the fact it didn’t even look seasoned. It’s been a few days now and I’m still thinking about that pork. The only negative, and a small one at that, was the salad on the salty side due to some uneven distribution of the sea salt that was sprinkled in. Even then, the poached egg we used in place of traditional dressing helped balance it out. Each dish showed how creative Chef Holly is and how she’s mastered her craft. After dessert was served Chef Holly came out and chatted with us. She was really down to Earth making jokes and telling us about how she got into the industry. The whole experience was really awesome and everyone was more than satisfied. Would I come back? Hell yeah. With Chef Holly always looking to try new things you know you’re going to get a different experience each time. If you’re looking for something different this is a good place to start. Mysterious? Yup. Fun? Definitely. Shady? Maybe, but only because you’re in Deep Ellum(I kid). Be sure to reserve a few weeks ahead as her schedule is pretty full!
