Healthy, but poorly lit, hard to determine if they were open, hence they closed this location. Other locations are good.

This place is such a great idea that I was really disappointed it was so terrible. First of all, it is NOT safe for anyone with nut allergies. I ordered chicken with yams and green beans, no visible nuts, and only at the last second checked the ingredients(my fault): macadamia nut oil. So I gave that one to my SO: he said(as I suspected when I smelled it) it was terrible. I went to heat up the chicken parmesan and checked the ingredients first: almond flour. So that just didn’t get eaten. The selection when I was in was very poor, and really I can make lean, bad food at home pretty easily. What I would hope for is someone who realized that with a little effort and creativity, more than what I have on a weeknight, lean food can be fantastic and easy to heat up, and you can easily make more than TWO small slices of bland chicken and a spoonful of sweet potatoes for $ 7.00. There was nothing interesting to choose from. Perhaps they should check out Cooking Light? I will try Simply Fit next.

This is great for people on the go! The prices are a little high but it’s worth it! The food is very healthy and each meal has a lot of protein. Also, sign up for their rewards and you get deals all the time!

This place is great, the review saying that this is more of a health food convenience store is spot on! It’s a phenomenal option if you’re usually on the go and don’t have time to make healthy meals at home. I love finally having a healthy version of «fast food.» Also they do have sales, anything expiring that day usually has a good percentage knocked off the price, which is great for low-budget college students that still want to eat right. The customer service has been fantastic every time I have been in, very friendly, helpful, and absolutely no snobbishness to be found. In the midst of a bunch of craziness this place is definitely helping kick-start eating right again.

This is NOT a restaurant, but a place to get healthy foods. Think of it as a Jenny Craig that deals in healthy foods. I am trying it out to help my husband lose weight, recommended to me by my friend/physician, Dr. Alison Sibley. This morning I made the liver cleanse shot, made with ½ squeezed lemon, 4 oz unsweetened cranberry juice, 1 T apple cider vinegar, and 1 T blueberry-flavored B-12 — my front tooth veneer chipped right off when I tried to take off the cover to the B-12(!). Back to the dentist to day. I look like a crack whore. I had the small breakfast tacos for breakfast — filling, but the meal had a very slight moldy taste to it. More to come as I continue with the 21 day challenge.

In my opinion, the calorie in/calorie out formula is a myth, and it can be a huge drain of your time and money(I do plenty of cardio, but I prefer hardcore uphill sprints, squats, deadlifts, etc.). This place capitalizes on the formula that I am fundamentally against. Tiny portions and expensive prices! I obviously enter this establishment with preconceived bias, so why even give it a try? While I don’t believe in the calorie in/calorie out formula as a lifestyle, I do believe it to be a short-term solution. Since I’m going on a tropical vacation over Christmas break, that’s all I’m looking for, a short-term solution. You know, trying to get these abs looking like 25 instead of 35. I do believe these low calorie«clean» food can get you there. I have to go three stars despite my criticism because I will return. I’m not a year-round calorie counter, but there are times when I want to artificially get down to fighting weight. It’s terribly convenient, the selection is wide considering their parameters, and the customer service is top-notch.

The people who work at this one are not as knowledgeable or helpful as the people of the Lemmon Ave. store. Also picked up the new scallop and shrimp dish today. The scallops were fishy and overcooked.

This store is awesomeness… It’s not meant to be sodium laden pei wei or chipotle… It is meant to make eating healthier EASY and pretty damn tasty once you figure out the dishes that you like… Place is clean as a whistle and the service is top notch… Bravo my fit foods!

I really, really like this place. I am always busy and don’t have time to make food for myself, so I was breaking the bank by getting«quick» food around Dallas. My Fit Foods is great because(1) It forces you to eat healthy and regular sized portions,(2) It is super convenient,(3) The staff is extremely nice and helpful, and(4) the food is actually pretty good! I’ve had probably like 10 meals here and found one that I really did not care for(the oatmeal). While it’s not necessarily a foodie’s paradise, if you are a really busy person who would like to watch what they eat and save some money in the process(I was spending $ 10/meal prior), then I highly recommend my fit foods.

This is what’s wrong with eating in America. Everything is precooked, prepackaged, refrigerated, and labeled with its caloric content. They do in fact have microwaves and sterile seating should you be so desperate, but really, this stuff is made feeding on-the-go. And I use ‘stuff’ intentionally, because this is more fuel than food. It’s as if they’re selling collections of nutrients and calories, conveniently gathered into food-styled dishes for easy assimilation. Just in case you’re wondering, it tastes every bit as pre-packaged and austerely healthy as it is, but edible.

So I’m a little torn on this place. I love the concept, but I think the prices are a tad out of whack and… I dunno. When it comes to healthy food, I guess I’ve just had better. Here’s a rundown of my experience: I popped in and got the Fit Mac(which is apparently a recent addition) and the Killah Chicken, both medium sizes. I was tempted to get a salad because they looked quite yummy but wanted something a little heartier. When I got to the counter they were sampling some mini oat muffins wheich were DELISH so I picked up a box of those too. They’re pretty tiny but incredibly dense, and since I’m not usually hungry in the morning one of them goes well with a cup of coffee and can usually tide me over until lunchtime. I bought the toffee chocolate chip ones, but the had blueberry/banana ones and I think one other flavor too. I’ll definitely be going back for those. The Fit Mac… well, I can’t really think of anything good about it. I’ve never had food so bland in my life. This was literally ground turkey with a tiny bit of onion, a small handful of tiny pasta shells and literally 4 shreds of cheese. Honestly, I’ve never had a meal so tasteless in my life. And since there were so few shells, once they were gone you were literally eating forkfuls of ground turkey. I even tried to spice it up with some garlic powder and fresh thyme, which made it a tad bit better, but I still ended up throwing half of it away. Bleh. The Killah Chicken was a different story. It’s pieces of chicken covered in tomatillo sauce over quinoa. A few things I learned from this meal: 1. I heart quinoa. I actually think I like it better than brown rice. Woo! 2) Not all the food at this place is flavorless. The tomatillo sauce was pretty good, although the ratio of meat to sauce to quinoa meant that most of the grain was dry. But, that’s okay. Still good. The guy at the counter was super friendly and helpful, he even walked my bag out to my car for me and did this super fancy thing where he tied it up with a slipknot. I’ll definitely be back to get more yummy mini-muffins, and will probably try a salad. Maybe it’s a good thing that first meal set the bar low? I dunno.

Don’t think of My Fit Foods as a Restaurant. It is a Healthy Food Convenience Store. A customer walks into the small, brightly lit store and selects from a short menu. Each menu item comes in a small, medium or large portion. The meals are calorie counted. They have a list with Weight Watcher Points calculated for all the meals. The first thing I had was the turkey meatloaf with mashed sweet potatoes and broccoli. It was Luv-at-first-bite. They have a tomotillo chicken that is really good. Their dishes are very heavily seasoned, which I like, but that is not going to please everyone. The staff is very helpful and very earnest. It is rather like having a personal Nutritional Coach who is interested in knowing how you are doing with your food/eating/weight. Their business model appears to be based on the idea that their customer base is going to come by every 3 days or so and pick up a bag of meals. I did that for a week, buying lunch and dinner from them. It helped kick-start my holiday weight-loss plan!

There are several reviews for the other location, but this is the one I visited. Overall, I was impressed — they have several fridge cases full of meal options, everything from dinner for two to salads or individual sides. The concept is based on having a healthy, balanced meal — they use nutrition plans and have consultants on site to discuss your diet and needs, if you wish. If you are like me and just want to take home something easy to heat that tastes great, that’s ok too. Have to say, the website has some compelling testimonials though, so if you are looking to make a change in diet and just not sure where to start, you should check this place out. They seem to be very knowledgeable. I’ve had several of the dishes, and this place was recommended to me by friends — and the best way to describe it is «homemade lean cuisines»(that taste great). Essentially you are going to get a lean meat(chicken, turkey or beef) with veggies or light pasta in a variety of portions to take home or bring to work. Works for me, although I prefer Short Stop because I’m fat like that :)
