This is a disgusting motel, it is filthy inside and out, they have bedbugs and roaches. There are drug dealers and prostitutes in the parking lot and the rooms smell of marijuana. The parking lot is not secure and there is always people ha going out in the parking lot at all hours of the day and night smoking weed and drinking. Do not stay here. It should actually be torn down.

Absolutely disgusting! The refrigerator was in the bathroom.(No idea!) We paid almost $ 60 for a non smoking room, bedding covered in cigarette holes, room smoky, and semen stains on the blankets. After requesting a refund they refused and put us in an equally as dirty room. I believe a drug deal was going on in the parking lot. Do not stay here if at all possible!

I really don’t appreciate that the desk clerk asked me «What’s a young beautiful girl like yourself doing traveling alone?» Not only is that rude, creepy, and inappropriate, but I felt a little scared to stay in my room after being hit on by the staff. I knew not to expect an immaculately clean room etc. for such a cheap motel, but I do expect professionalism from the staff. When I got to my room I realized that I didn’t get the wifi password, so I called the front desk multiple times and no one answered. Then I went down to the front desk, and after waiting for 10 minutes without anyone showing up, I looked around the front desk myself for a wifi password and eventually found it written on little pieces of paper. There was also a cigarette butt on the carpet of the stairs that I saw the staff just walk past multiple times without picking it up, and the tiled floors in the stairwell were sticky. The room was fine and everything but I would recommend not staying here if you’re a single female, especially if you’re young.

Called about a double bed room, and was told it was available. I told the night person I was on the way and to hold the room. Once I got there not ten minutes later, there were shady people walking the lot. I went inside to check-in despite this, and was waiting behind two people. The night person then told me I was out of luck because he just rented out the room to someone else. I told him I had called to hold the room and he stated there was nothing he could do. Poor customer service and having to worry about your car in the lot? I think I’ll take my business elsewhere that cares about room holds and not having to check on my car throughout the night to see if someone is breaking into it.

The rooms were good for the rate, clean beds, good ac, clean bathroom etc. I don’t expect a whole lot when I book a cheap room knowing I’ll only be there for showers & a little sleep, so I’m not too picky about amenities & whatnot. My room was a a non-smoking, 2 queen room but you could smell that there were smoking rooms on the floor as well, or that the floor was a smoking floor in a past life. That also didn’t bother me. The only put offs for me was the hassle of trying to check in with my reservation, and the«night life» ongoings in the parking lot after hours. Despite my appeals for the fellow at the desk to just use my reservation confirmation for the room, I had to spend 15 – 20 while he tried to put me in a room with a single bed, then charge me a higher rate for the same room I had reserved. After showing him my confirmation & showing him how to calculate the room cost with taxes to fix the amounts he came up with I still ended up paying more than the price I reserved the room for. I figured I’d just get someone else to adjust it before checkout, never happened. After the festival I was in Dallas for, my brother & I decided to have a smoke/drink outside… all was fine until that time of night came when the working girls & all their pimps decided to join us. In no time the lot was filled with the sketchiest of men & women who, for their sake, I hope didn’t take less than $ 200 as their«keepers» yelling sounded pretty adamant about the prices. It suffices to say that I will stay elsewhere if I find myself in Dallas again.

So my plane from Costa Rica broke and took off 7 hours late. This also means that I missed my connecting flight from Dallas to Boston. So for the first time, I and the rest of my fellow passengers got put up in a hotel room. Some people got the Radisson. Others, the Westin or the Sheraton. Guess who got good old Motel 6? The room that cost American Airlines $ 43.00 was clean and well-maintained. However, it was missing a few amenities: 1. Free shampoo and conditioner. Expect a bar of soap and nothing else. 2. Food for which one may pay with an airline voucher. Nothing delivery, nothing in walking distance. Bring a half-munched granola bar and you’ll be fine. 3. Clocks. The room is completely devoid of clocks. The only alarm you get is a wake up call. The first two missing amenities didn’t really bother me. The last one did. Come on. Every motel room should have at least three things: a bed, a bible, and a clock. These should not be negotiable. I got a call at 1:00 a.m. while staying there. Thinking it was my wake up call, I took a shower, got dressed, chugged some coffee, etc. and went out into the lobby, announcing, «I’m here for the 4:15 airport shuttle!» The front desk worker looked at me with pity, and replied in a thick Texas drawl, «But honey, it’s only 1:30 a.m.» D’oh. That coffee kept me awake for the next couple of hours, and by the time the actual 4:15 a.m. shuttle came around to whisk me back to Boston, I just looked a hot mess. You know, this never would have happened if my room included a CLOCK. I don’t know if this clocklessness is a feature of all Motel 6s or just this one. But if I were you, and I had somewhere to be, I would play it safe and either(1) shell out an extra 10 bucks for a room at another, clocks-included hotel, or(2) bring your own. On the plus side, rooms at Motel 6DO include electrical outlets in which a clock may be plugged in.
