My husband and I went to try it. We both had chicken fried steak and it was dry. Most of the food wasn’t good and was dry. The only good thing we both ate was the mashed potatoes, which honestly were some of the best I’ve had. Other than that, the mac n cheese was good, but everything else was terrible.

The place was a little dirty, run down. The food was not so fresh. Some of the salads was warm. I had to use a knife to cut the bread pudding and then it tasted like it had been frozen and reheated. The bathrooms are in need of some repairs. There was a bucket balancing on the bathroom stall to catch a leaky a/​c drip. If you bumped the stall you would have taken a nasty shower. There was blue gloves laying on the paper towel rack that looked like they had poo on them. Nasty!

There is not really much to say about this place except a lot of the dishes had a hint of fish, including the mashed potatoes. Not much flavor in the food, but at least they kept the place clean.
They provide ample parking, 8.50 mon thru fri and 10 bucks on the weekend. 1.99 extra for soft drinks. You walk in, choose from salads/​meats/​sides/​breads/​dessert/​drinks. Find a seat, get greeted by waitress, she will serve you any extras you might need… and you pay before you leave. Won’t be going back since the food was lacking. :(

This is a little different than most Furr’s Buffet’s it’s more cafeteria style you go through the line once they ticket you and then your waiter goes to get anything else you want, so you better memorize everything on the counter.
My Mother use to make us take three bites of everything regardless of our desire not to eat some thing at all. Thank God at the time it only meant one and a half Brussels sprouts. She also use to say every 10 years you need to re-​taste things to see if your tastes have changed. You know what Mama was right! I love Brussels sprouts but even more the liver and onions that she use to make that would cause my sister, brother and me to gag is pretty darn good now. That’s one of my favorite things at Furr’s and they make it just like Mama use to make it and I can order fried potatoes just like she use to make too. Aside from the some what odd way to handle a buffet Furr’s has really good food!
