The worst food I have ever experienced in a professional setting. DONOTUSETHISCATERER!!! Our business arranged catering from Macklin’s during a 2 day training event for 32 people. The first day, they served cold, mushy pasta with a choice of watered down marinara, which tasted like the sauce from a can of spaghettio’s(sorry Chef Boyardee) or a choice of «alfredo» sauce, which tasted like rancid butter and watered down cream. The second day, we had boxed lunches, which consisted of various poor quality meats, all of which were on plain white bread, which was dripping with disgusting mayonnaise. This is by far the worst culinary experience that I have had in a very long time. Please do your part to boycott this company. There is no excuse for such poor food quality, imho.

I have utilized Macklins Catering at two separate employers for several events. Currently we have them catering full hot lunches for a monthly event we hold for Doctor’s from all over the US as well as, sandwhich trays and always always their dessert bars. Presentation is perfect, food is superb and always delivered on time. The feedback from our guests has always been very good. Thanks… ya’ll make my job so easy!

Macklins Catering Company VERYBADFOOD! and service — OK so my company had Macklins Catering Company come in and cater a lunch for Christmas this year. I have to say that the food was so terrible that people where suggesting we should have just done a pot luck. They served Mexican food, first there where the appetizers this consisted of out of the box pre frozen min pocket things that were stuffed with unidentifiable meats, along with out of the box frozen stuffed jalapeños these had no taste and they were so old that the breading wouldn’t stay on them. For the main course it was Beef enchilada casserole or as most were calling it the beef mush it was kind of funny people walking around saying«did you try the Beef Mush» «nope not me» next on the menu were the Chicken sour cream enchiladas they soggy and tasteless but at least you could tell them apart they where the«white goo» next on the table where the vegetarian enchiladas I skipped them all together, down the line a bit we go and find Chicken fajita fixings Yea! I think this can’t be that bad! wrong! Dry, Dry like the desert, dry like dirt blowing in the field Dry I say Dry… but what could go wrong with our favorite Mexican desert Sopapillas! Oh yea! now I know what can be wrong they could be soft on top and like rubber on the bottom, I actually say 4 different people break plastic knives trying to saw through a Sopapilla. So all in all Macklins food is bad very bad they did come out and they did do a tasting and the tasting was great, but when it comes time to deliver the actual service 127 people in my office voted never again.

This catering company has been in business serving DFW for quite a while. In 2009, they opened a restaurant J. Macklin’s Grill in Coppell
The company I work for almost uses Macklin’s exclusively due to their«heart healthy» preparation. SO, I guess I will review them by saying that their food is better than average for catering and apparently not that bad for you!
