Luna never really fails! They have great food and reverse hh. Some people my not know about it but it’s just as good as Kona’s! I like their nachos and Mini tacos. Don’t forget to pair it with their house Margarita! :)

Can I eat here every day? I had soup and the fajita steak. oh my. I want to go back. The place is nice and fairly quiet, even during lunch hour. The servers are efficient but not too friendly. The also don’t hover over you, so that is good too. I highly recommend Luna.

While shopping/movie watching on Black Friday, we slipped into this little gem. The eager staff sat us at the bar right away. They were obviously packed with other starving shoppers. 4 at the bar for appetizers and drinks. They have a very good happy hour menu and cocktail selection. We had the quesadilla and chips an cheese dip. In addition, ordered the chicken fingers and fries. All were very good, but lacked a little spice of life. I’m sure these bar apps are not anything close to the dinner menu selection. Cocktails were strong and well priced. My dining partners and I decided that we must again visit this location for dinner. I do have to say that it was all the smiling, apparently happy staff that will bring us back. Really, Black Friday, and you are welcoming of throngs of holiday shopping fools? Bravo! I’m sure my next experience will surpass my 5 star rating!

The food was ok and the service was ehh. We didn’t get any napkins or silverware until our entrees arrived. Our waiter was very nice, but seemed either a little challenged or on something. I thought the chips were good, but just not the typical chips you get at Mexican restaurants. Since I love guava I ordered the guava mimosa, which I saw on Unilocal. It was different and yummy. I personally would have loved more guava in it, but I am sure others may have found it overwhelming. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and the broth was very good(flavorful, not super oily, though it had a slight finish of something sweet), but I personally thought there were too many thick onions and green peppers for the amount of broth. My boyfriend and I shared the tamales(beef, chicken and pork) and the chicken fajitas. The best things(I did not try the beans or beef tamale) were the chicken tortilla soup, yellow rice and the seasoned, very lightly breaded onions over the chicken in the fajita dish. The onions were really good! The quality of the grilled chicken was not bad, but it didn’t have much flavor. The tamales were a little cooler than luke warm, which kind of ruined the dish. They are supposed to be pipping hot from getting boiled.

Really good drinks here! Their peach cocktail de noche was strong, but really good. And this is the only place that I know of that offers a Margarita de GUAYABA(guava). Why doesn’t anyone else offer this magical flavor?! It was fantastic as well. The food though is hit or miss. My stuff was pretty average bar food. Would’ve ordered another awesome cocktail instead. Great place to pregame!

The service here was great! The food, well, it was okay at best. The salsa is good, the chips are not. Sort of like tostitos or something. The beans were okay, the cheese enchiladas lacked, of all things, cheese. :-) Anyway, it was quick, we we’re treated well, but the food was lack luster at best.

I love the food here. Happy hour is great as well. The list includes half price apetzs. There’s always a nice crowd as well. Be cautious when going near happy hour as the place next door is really busy and the crowd staggers over. Nice people and good eats.

Absolutely disappointed with Luna de Noche. You guys went from 4 stars to 1, only because I can’t give you guys 0. Avoid avoid avoid. It is no wonder Kona Grill is packed while this place is empty. I never understood the bad comments until 10 minutes prior to this review. The hostess was quick I seat us in the patio and the chips and salsa guy greeted us warmly. 5 minutes passed and a server from KONAGRILL(across from this place) greeted us before our server ever did. 5 more minutes passed and our server finally showed up and in this manner greeted himself, «do you know what you want to drink?» Uhh okay. We were going to tell him we needed a minute but he told us, «hold on I’ll be back». When? We did not know. The good service vibes and laughter coming from the restaurant across seemed better by the minute. 10 more minutes passed and we had finally had enough. Grabbing our menus we headed towards the hostess and let her know that we’ve had awful service and we would be leaving. The only response we got from her was, «oh I’m sorry» I’m sorry that we wasted our time here. Luna de Noche, we loved you but sadly we will not be coming back. Will be continued at Kona Grill’s Unilocal page.

We decided to try this place due to the convenience of seeing a movie at north park. My wife and I ordered the«gourmet» quesadillas. The waiter asked if we wanted to add chicken or beef. We decided on shredded beef with no onions. The waiter brought the food out 12 minutes later. Probably because they are gourmet right. When we received the order it. looked great. We opened a quesadilla on each of our side plates to make sure there were no onions. There were none, but the mushrooms that were listed on the menu as an ingredient were not in there. It literally was chicken and cheese only. I asked the waiter if they were supposed to have the mushrooms. He apologized and said yes and immediately reached to grab the plate. We asked him if we needed to put our two individual quesadillas back on the main plate. He said nope, yall can eat those while I go get this fixed. I fully expected another 12 minute wait. Much faster this time. ONE minute to be exact. That’s right, you guessed it they opened the quesadilla and tossed in two mushrooms and then did not melt the cheese. They literally were just thrown in there. The waiter was not the one who brought the new order to us. When he came to. check on us he asked if the order had been fixed. I said kind of and explained the situation. He offered to. take them again. The last thing I wanted was spit on my mushrooms so we said no thank you. No manager, no more apologies, NOTHING!!! WONTBEBACK

The Good Convenient if you are in the mall shopping Décor was nice The Bad This place is a bad joke. Went for lunch with family. My brother got the chicken mole for lunch which is $ 18. While the sauce was apparently good, it is crazy over priced. I tried to order but since absolutely nothing on the lunch menu was vegetarian it was difficult and the waiter was completely unhelpful. Basically telling me no lunch options are vegetarian and they won’t take the con carne sauce off of anything b/c they don’t do substitutions. Good grief. And forget it if you actually want something healthy. Never going back.

This is my favorite tex mex restaurant! Everything is delicious from start to finish. Good spicy salsa, perfectly salted chips, delicious margaritas, and amazing tacos. My favorite is the La Luna tacos or the chimichanga with moon rise sauce. The staff is always friendly and quick!

I’ve gone here about four times now. Their margaritas are good, their food(I’ve tried their enchiladas, flautitas, mini tacotitos, and nachos) is just«okay», but their service/management is REALLY bad. Every. time. One time I ordered their mini tacotitos and asked if they could make it vegetarian instead of beef/chicken. The waitress said it would be an extra $ 2. I said okay fine.(isn’t zuccini cheaper than beef/chicken though?) The bill came and I saw they charged me an extra $ 3.50 for the vegetarian tacotitos. I complained and told them the waitress originally said $ 2– they quickly said fine, $ 2 and changed my bill. What the heck. Where are they pulling these random numbers from? REDALERT: SKETCHY! Plus they aren’t vegetarian friendly at all. Too bad, I love their margaritas but it isn’t enough to make me come back. There are a TON of better tex-mex places in Dallas so I encourage you to look elsewhere!

I came here with a group of co-workers for Happy Hour. The maragarita tasted great. The nachos were good too with a great flavor on the ground beef. This was my dinner and it was very filling. I love the atmosphere. It was definitely relaxing. However, the service was sub-par(the reasoning for the three stars). She looked like she hated her job. Also, I spent $ 14(including tip) for nachos and a drink during happy hour, which is a little steep.

We came here on a Thursday evening actually in an attempt to go to Kona. Kona was overly packed so we turned around and saw a HUGE sign at Luna for a new Happy Hour menu. We decided on Luna rather than wait for Kona and I have to say I was glad we did. Their new happy hour menu includes drinks ranging from $ 4 – 5. They have tons of appetizers and all range from $ 3 – 4. I expected tiny little plates with enough for a few bites for one person. We ordered three items: chicken nachos, chicken/beef flautitas and the mini chicken/beef tacos. The nachos came out on a plate that was about 6 – 8 inches around. The nachos themselves stood a good 6inches. I was surprised at how much they piled on! The flautitas were a mix of 3 chicken and 3 beef and came with a guacamole crème sauce for dipping. The tacos came in 3’s as well with 3 being chicken and 3 being beef. When we ordered the food we didn’t expect this much so we ended up taking over half of it home. For a packed patio I have to say the service was great and never was there an issue with time. Our drinks and food all came out in an acceptable amount of time and we never felt like we were being rushed for another table to get in. I would definitely encourage trying their new happy hour menu! It starts at 4 and ends at 9! Cant beat that!

I was a little disappointed with our reverse happy hour stop at Luna de Noche. We ended up here because it started raining as we were headed to Kona Grill’s patio and the wait inside was going to be crazy. We hopped over to Luna de Noche and found a little nook at the bar to sit at and we were promptly greeted by our bartender. I opted for the house wine(chardonnay) and I think the boo got a margarita(he said the reviews on Unilocal said their margaritas were top notch — he disagrees). For a little late night snack I opted for a Mexican pizza and he got nachos and both plates left sooo much to be desired. The mexcian pizza was a flat tortilla cut into little triangles topped with ground beef, beans and cheese. Like a chalupa… but not as good. The nachos were okay, I guess. I really wasn’t satisfied with the presentation or taste of either option and felt like they were just throwing stuff together for the happy hour plates. So we sat and talked for a while and as our night was coming to a close our bartender finally offered us chips and salsa — only because the server brought out too many for the other couple that came and sat at the other end of the bar. Boooooooooooo.

Came here Tuesday for Happy Hour(4−7pm) before catching a flick. Well drinks are $ 3, House Magaritas and their Martini De Noche specialty are $ 5 size. Had to try the Chicken Flautitas($ 6) and they were pretty tasty as well. The service was a solid, but it was Tuesday. Though it’s not my favorite spot for Mexican, if I’m in the area, I’d definitely recommend you stop by check it out… looking at the regular menu prices and other people’s plates, I’d suggest just sticking to Happy Hour though.

After the Komen Race for the cure(walking a 5K in a boot) our group headed to lunch. First choice was La Duni but it wasn’t open yet so Luna de Noche it was. I am not a huge fan of Mexican or any variation and this was no different for me. Started with a pomegranite mimosa served with a real flower in the glass as garnishment… it was really good but not good enough to order another. Order off of the brunch menu… an omelet. It was served with too much over-seasoned sausage for my taste. Also came with a side of beans and some potatoes. It was all just alright to me. Service was pretty poor and SLOW.
