Love Field Art Travelers Art Gallery

This morning I was filled with anger (hanger, really) from not being able to jump on an earlier flight without having to pay an exorbitant amount of money for a 45 MINUTE flight!
Anywayyyyyy…I wandered around, and after gettin some grub, found this lovely little art gallery.
Art gallery? In an airport? Yasssss!!!
They have different styles of art from different artists. Mixed media, watercolor, sculptures, photographs, weavings, and more! Most of which are travel related in some way.
I spent most of my layover here, and it magically calmed me down and kept me from flipping the f out. I will definitely come here every time I find myself in Dallas Love Field airport!

This was my 2^nd trip to this lovely little art gallery in the fancy new Southwest terminal at Love Field. The art rotates (except for one giant sculpture, I think), as there are different pieces now then when I last went in October.
The space is relaxing and calm, an oasis in the chaos of the airport. The art is interesting and modern. The reworked furniture pieces that I saw yesterday were really thought provoking… and no, I don’t have photos. The app ate them.
Great place to stop for a moment and relax and enjoy some art.

Surprised to find a mini art gallery in an airport, but here it is! Cute use of space– interesting pieces. No tickets or lines so easy enough to pop in and out on your way to the gates or baggage claim. It is really just a large unused room with a dozen pieces of art hung up.
Deserted when we just popped in. Dark room with highlights just on the pieces. Not meant for anything more than providing an alternative activity at the airport. Cute idea.
We ran in while waiting on a friend in line at an adjacent store. Perfect to keep the kids interested for just the right amount of time. Also a nice moment away from the hustle and bustle of airports.
