I have no idea how she wins best of D, but I did not have a good experience. She talked me into dying my eyebrows & left the color on one brow longer than the other. I left with uneven colored brows, not to mention, after getting a brow wax & tint, it was 50+ dollars.

Laura turned my brows from bushy and uneven to absolutely flawless. 5 years later and I’m still going to her. Turned all my friends onto her. SHESTHEBEST!!! Won’t trust anyone else

The worst ever she double booked and charged me for a dye when it did not color my brows. Moreover they are uneven. A total waste of money

I have had both good and mediocre experiences with Laura. Sometimes my brows turn out great and other times, they might be noticeably uneven. agree with some of the other reviews that she upsells the hair-regrowth serum for brows and i don’t think it works… i stopped using it after a month of no results. she can be kind of brusk and to-the-point with her comments but that’s somewhat cultural, so don’t hold it against her. have been going to her for three years off and on and my brows are decent but they aren’t incredible. i just haven’t found anyone better for brows to replace her! Laura is definitely overpriced.

The WORST experience i have ever had at a salon. First i was left waiting for a long time by the receptionist who failed to notify the electrologist– Laura of my arrival. I got tired of waiting and had to use my cellphone to call Laura who showed me into her room for electrolysis. I should have taken the lack of acknowledgement by the receptionist as a sign not to proceed with seeking service a this place;it would have saved me this harrowing experience i had during and after my electrolysis treatment. I walked in to this room that was unkempt;i was shown to this facial bed that appeared filthy. I have had a total of five electrolysis treatments to my face from another electrologist at a different salon who was unavailable today, and thus, my reason for going to this electrologist at this salon for the FIRSTTIMEEVERTODAY. THISWILLBEMYLASTVISITTOTHISPLACE. The electrologist was not professional;i kept having my face shoved into her clothing the whole time she was working on my face. SHEWASTALKINGSOMUCHTHATHERSALIVASPLATTEREDONMYFACE, EYES, ANDLIP;i was so repulsed by this. At the end of the process, i had swelling and breakouts around my chin-the area that was treated. By the time, i went home the swelling and breakouts had gotten worse;i had large welts on those areas. I had to go get antihistamine cream from the drug store to apply to those areas. Like i mentioned earlier, i have had a total of five electrolysis at a different salon without any breakouts, welts, or allergic reaction. I called Laura the electrologist today to notify her of what i noticed when i got home only for her to RUDELY brush me off and get me off the phone without even letting me finish stating what my concern was;stating she was with a customer and would call me back-which she did not do;i could not even voice my concern because she would not let me get a word in;she was talking over me so much so that i had to ask her if i could speak since the both of us cannot be talking at the same time. This was the height of unprofessionaism;i have never had this type of treatment from any person who has rendered service to me at any salon i have ever visited;i have traveled all over the U. S because of my line of work and have had to seek services from other salons around the country and have never had this type of experience. I would not recommend this salon and electrologist to any one. This was a waste of time and money. I went to this place last year and YES it is a rip off! I ended up paying over $ 260 dollars for the eyebrow shaping and the regrowth product. After getting home I notice the waxing it’s self wasn’t even good. I still had hairs in the middle! Only good thing was that she was nice but I guess because she is getting every penny out of you…

RIP. OFF. I would give ZERO stars, but Unilocal wants me to play nice. Insult #1: She told me that my eyebrows made me look mean. She said that she was exhausted and sweaty after working with my eyebrows for 30 minutes. As noted in another review, she took several calls during my appointment. She told me that I needed her eyebrow growth products. There is no true pricing scheme so I had no way of knowing what it would cost. I am a fool. Insult #2: 30 minutes and products cost me $ 325. She did use the brow pencil to reshape my brows and after washing my face, I realize that I’d just put $ 325 down the drain. Her room in the salon is no different from the nail salon in your local strip mall. Please save yourself from this shame. NOTE: I got the same results from her products as I would get from applying castor oil to my brows. Please Save Yourself. Castor oil is $ 3 at Walmart or $ 6 at your local health food store. I am not sure how or why she is recommended via D Magazine. I can NEVER trust D Magazine again. She was a TOTAL.(*insert inappropriate words here*) RIP. OFF.

My wife’s review: Laura does good brow work but she’s EXTREMELY expensive for no apparent reason. The first time I went in for brows she charged me $ 70. I thought, she did a good job expensive but my brows needed reshaping so OK. The next time I went in, for lip and brow she charged me $ 95. The FINAL time I went in she charged me $ 270 for brow, lip, chin and sides of my face. I was shocked and DONE. I think Laura is fine for a one-time brow shaping but after that, anyone can follow the pattern for A LOT less.

Wow. This woman is amazing. I went to Laura to get my eyebrows done and they have never looked better. For at least 15 years I have been getting my eyebrows waxed, threaded, or tweezed and I have NEVER had someone take some much time with me and put so much care into making my eyebrows not only look perfect, but making them the correct shape for my face. She knows what she is doing and she really is the absolute best! I have never looked so good. Please please please go to her before letting someone else touch your face.

A friend booked Laura to have her eyelashes curled, so I decided to go too. They looked great, but it only lasted a little over a month, so not really worth the $ 75 price tag. While waiting for my friend to get her lashes done, I explored her other services, and discovered she handles many of the issues that have been plaguing me. I’ve had 2 more sessions with Laura since the lashes, and I wanted to be a long time customer. The first visit I booked one hour for skin tag removal, she booked someone else during my hour and i only got a half hour session. During this last visit(and yes this will be my last visit) she charged me $ 255 for 30 minutes of skin tag removal, plus $ 150 for cherry angioma removal(it’s the exact same process), and $ 65 to shape my brows– which she left crooked!!! On top of that, I don’t think the place is very clean and she took personal phone calls while I was paying her almost $ 500! Completely ridiculous! Big disappointment, I’ll be heading to the dermatologist.

I did not receive the royal treatment from the«brow queen»! Thanks to glowing reviews in D Magazine, I thought I had found the perfect person to help me get my brows in shape. I scheduled an appointment with Laura(who was very sweet on the phone). When she met me in person, however, she wasn’t quite as nice. She started off by telling me how horrible my brows looked(uh, yeah, that’s the reason I was there, although I would have appreciated a little more tact). Then, she told me how hard she’d have to work to get my brows in decent shape. I asked what I thought was a simple question: how much will that cost me? She then chastised me for not reading her website and memorizing her pricing. At this point, I should have walked out. But, I stayed. Before I saw the end result of all her waxing and tweezing, she applied layers of brow pencil. When I got home and removed it, I saw what she was clearly covering up: a giant BALD spot. When I contacted her to see what she would do about it, she refused to offer any sort of refund for the $ 68 brow wax and once again chastised me for not reading her website. Bottom line: if you want to keep the brows you have(no matter how«bad» they might look), stay far away from this lady!

Terrible, she refused to properly do my eyebrows the way I liked then tried to charge more than the maximum just because I told her I didn’t like them. Had to go to another shop to get them fixed after. She charges 10 times more than most people and does a terrible job, AND the whole time she was talking she insulted my religion and asked for my name 5 times. Please, save your money!!!
