I don’t know why this location has such unfavorable reviews. I come here about 3 times a week because this is the closest non-fast food to my job. My first few times coming here I only ordered the same thing over and over because I was scared to really explore the menu. I’ve finally started to branch out and try new items. Everything I’ve had so far has been exceptional. I think I’ve only had an order messed up one time and that was a few months ago. I’m happy with this location and the food that is becoming a favorite of mine. I recommend the chicken salad croissant and the tomato basil soup.

Not the best but not the worst. Until today. When for 4 different times they couldn’t get a simple sandwich right. Asked to speak to the manager who couldn’t understand that the problem wasn’t the cheese it was the sauce. Asked for an area manager or corporate phone number and was greeted by «if you want just call the number on the receipt»

This location is a constant disappointment. I’ve been coming here for years. Since before they moved mall location. I noticed it looks like they are moving again. Maybe it will be impetus for improvement. Overall the food is hit and miss which is not indicative of the other locations. I like the American breakfast and got that this morning. Even though they have told me before they don’t pre cook the scrambled eggs, the ones I just ate sure seemed like it. All that aside what really seems to be a problem here is attitude. It starts at the counter with a girl that has been here along time. This morning she was looking at her phone when I walked up to order! She wasted not a second getting back to her phone after I ordered. Until the corporate management gets engaged at this location, I don’t think it will improve. You would think especially here they would want perfection.

First of all, let me start off by saying I don’t like to give bad reviews. If a place is not to my liking I just don’t go there again, plain and simple. However, my experience at La Madeleine was such a nightmare that I feel like I should let others know what can be expected from this location. I came in this afternoon for a late breakfast, starving as I had not eaten yet. I ordered the egg breakfast as I usually do at other locations, with two eggs over easy. I was initially brought a meal with eggs that were extremely over cooked so I kindly asked for them to make me a new one. The employee was nice about it and agreed to replace my meal. When I received the second plate I was shocked at what I saw. The eggs were running all over the plate, the white of the egg was still raw and it had a TON of oil spilled on it as if to spite me. That I could have dealt with, but it was the obvious BUG in the food that disgusted me even more. I gave it back immediately before even having a seat and explained my concern to Steven, the manager. I understand mistakes happen but how he handled the situation was completely unprofessional. He didn’t even apologize and rolled his eyes when I asked for a refund. I didn’t even want them to remake the food because I had lost my appetite and was so disgusted by the fact the kitchen would send out a plate that VISIBLY had a bug on it. He even tried to blame the bug on the plants in the seating area when I had brought the plate back 30 seconds later without sitting down!!! I’ve never experienced such unprofessional behavior in my life, this person is definitely not cut out to be running anything! He then proceeded to ask for the receipt, I couldn’t find it at first and he kept insisting on the receipt even when the plate was in front of him with the bug in it, hesitant to refund my food and saying he can remake it. He acted like this is a normal everyday occurrence!!! Moral of the story, do not eat here unless you want to deal with horrible customer service and chefs that think serving bugs is sanitary. If that’s ok by them I don’t even want to think about the condition in which they feel is acceptable to keep their kitchen. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I left with an empty stomach and an afternoon ruined.

Fun little place to come. I love French cafes, but truth about this place is that it’s just average. Below average would be more accurate for their food but I really like those pastries on a cloudy day. I’ve tried 4 signage dishes. One out of the four was actually good… That was the mushroom chicken. Not in a rush to return.

My sister and I came here and we were next in line and ready to order. After helping the customers before us, the three staff members behind the counter saw us but didn’t speak to us and ignored us for almost 10 minutes. We decided to leave and walked away when they finally decided to take our order. When I told them that they took too long and that we noticed looking at us waiting, they they did they didn’t want our business anyway. They were very rude and unapologetic. We decided to take our business elsewhere and had a frigid delicious meal and better customer service at Corner Bakery.

So rude. My food was ready and they rang the bell several times while I’m standing there watching them chit chat. So I asked if I could have my food. The employee rolled her eyes at me while packing it up. So rude. I will not be going back.

I am often here since I work around but this visit wasn’t that great in terms of customer service! No hi/hello. No smile at all… The girl taking my order was busy talking to another gal instead(multitasking I guess) The food is always good here those I wish the service would be the same way !

Dessert and vienne selection is great. Try the chicken cordon bleu pasta paired with the socher tort for dessert. It is out of this world. Staff very friendly and courteous. Manager came out to see how everything was. Nice touch! Very happy with my experience.

Manager was very impolite. Barely paid attention to me ordering and of course my order came out to me wrong. I’m surprised by the customer service here because I eat here all the time and never have a problem. Maybe they are having a bad day but that shouldn’t be taken out on me. Probably will avoid eating here in the future.

Food is ok for what it is… preprocessed commercial. I can think of a couple places at this mall that that is way better for the same money. Last time I was there the girl on registered became frustrated when I asked a question. She raised her voice in anger and screamed for the manager. I just left. I called back a little later and the manager did apologize.

Have you been clamoring for a restaurant where you can exclusively sit in a hallway in the mall on really uncomfortable wicker chairs while you eat? Do you want to listen to employees of the establishment whistle constantly, right in your ear? Well, here it is! You can even stand in a line to place your order, get your own drink, and seat yourself at a dirty table while you wait endlessly for someone to come bus your table! Sure, the wild field salad with chicken is good, but it with a drink is more than $ 10, and I’d willingly pay $ 100 for someone to get the employees who work the ‘dining area’/mall hallway to STFU. The math doesn’t work out for me to even walk past this La Madeleine. Be strong! Keep walking! There are tons of places to eat in Northpark that are more sanity friendly than this(including anything in the food court).

The new set up at NorthPark is mediocre at best. The tables are cramped and there’s no longer a case of pre-made, ready-to-go selections. The food is excellent — as always. I understand that this location has more visibility and is larger, but this was definitely a step down.

We found the same high quality and consistency as at other locations. Maybe because the mall was not crowded, we found seating with no problem. Love their Caesar salad with chicken, along with tomato basil soup. The wife loves the French dip. Very convenient location while shopping.

Not a bad place although I don’t recommend going just before Christmas. Holiday mall crowds annoy me so this was not well planned at all. Anyway, I met a friend for lunch, waited in line for only a minute or two, and enjoyed a more than decent quiche florentine. Seating is limited and squished close together, and tables were dirty even though there was plenty of staff walking around picking up trays. I like La Madeleine but I recommend another location.

The new location in Northpark is a much easier and more pleasant place to enjoy La Madeleine. The duet magnifique is the perfect lunch portion of soup, salad and sandwich. solid choice for mall eating!

Very good food. Okay, look; you are in a mall! What food in the food court compares to this? Be serious. The tomato basil soup is amazing. For the price, this is probably the best food in the mall. If you don’t want to leave the mall and want this kind of food, eat here.

Sit in the middle of one of Dallas’ best malls and enjoy buttery European inspired, if not mass produced, treats like tomato basil soup and croque-monsieur, oh yeah and salads. The large female demographic here might be drawn to the cute factor, stay for the rich cream in the guise of a light healthy snack. Desserts like Napoleatans and Crème Brulees. Coffee. High traffic. Food court, cattle call atmosphere, but okay food. It’s worth noting that this company originated out of Dallas. Other locations are more charming and quieter.

This location has gone«hood». I would have given this location 5 stars back in 2000. They used to have a great veggie sandwich with portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers and other good stuff. Now it’s just garden variety stuff. I asked for it on a pretzel roll and it was given to me on a way-too-greasy croissant. The side of pasta was beyond greasy. I don’t think anyone would possibly choose their pasta to be this greasy. I think it indicates that this location really doesn’t give a sh*t. I was standing at the register waiting to get rung up. The register lady seemed to be wandering around behind the counter. I couldn’t tell that she was doing anything — just wandering around making everyone wait longer. While I was waiting there at the register I literally ate more than half of my chocolate almond croissant. That gives you an indication of how long I was waiting. Piss poor and nothing like it was 10 years ago. The chocolate almond croissant is still OK though.
