This is the worst bar I have ever been to. My fiancé was hit on by the bouncer named Eric and it was the most disgusting place I’ve ever been. The drinks were watered down and atrocious. The service was very very poor. MDo not go to this place for your own sake.

Stopped on this place on a recommendation from a friend. This place is pretty cool and the bartenders/wait staff are friendly. Cool atmosphere and in a great part of uptown Dallas! I’ll be coming back here for sure

Bar review. Cool spot to hang out, especially on a Sunday-Funday. They had a decent tap list, so no real complaints there. But the best thing about this place(obviously) are all the free games. Every arcade game is free, simply walk up and play. From Buck Hunter to Mario Cart to NFL Blitz… they even have skee ball machines. An added bonus was the outdoor patio with big screen TVs and over-sized jenga. Oh — and there was a karaōke room!

Can’t get in, because we have flip flops on. This is a bar with arcade machines. It is not a place you would think you cannot enter with shoes on that don’t cover toes. But so it is. Liked this place, now it’s a joke. Not fancy, not your thing. Thats why you were good. See ya

Horrible, I would not even give these guys a one star, however, this is the minimum I can give. My night began on Saturday with a birthday crew. Dressed in button down shirt and jeans, I knew what to expect from uptown. The problem quickly escalated before I could even reach inside the saloon. The front door bouncers would not give me access into the place. As I gave one of them my I.D., they inspected the authenticity of the card with a flashlight as usual. As a few minutes when by, I started to wonder what the hold up was, so I simply asked, «Are we good?» The bouncer then looked up with a disgruntled look and told me, «Come over here.» In a state of shock, I could not figure out for the life of me why he would not let me in. I tried to negotiate with them and talk civil, but they shrugged me off as if I did not exist. Turning to the two officers in uniform next to them, I was hoping to get a better response, but I only got told I would be thrown in jail if I did not leave. Feeling hopeless, I left. At this point, The best way my voice can be heard is by writing my thoughts. This place is a joke, avoid at all cost. You would think after last years settlement in June, something would change by now. However, they continue to treat people like this. Overpriced drinks, over crowded, and racist bouncers.

One of the coolest bars I’ve been to! It’s in a busy area in Dallas. There are seats outside and seats inside. Tons of games you can play, from connect 4, to Mario kart, mega-jenga, even shuffle board! Music was top 40’s leaning towards hip hop(which I personally love) and there’s lots of roomy space that is prime for dancing. If I was a local, that would definitely be my chill spot.

Visiting Dallas for the weekend i went to Kung Fu Saloon with some girlfriends. Getting in was simple where you make the line, show id and get to explore. The feeling of the Saloon is like an adult play room. Surrounding the walls are arcade games, center is a circular bar with room for dancing and socializing. Our bartender JP was amazing, patient and skillful. DJ was on point all night and i got to beat my friends in connect four, jeinga, skeeball and race car. One of the cool things to me is how everything has cup holders! Great place to visit and meet people. Really enjoyed will come back

Huge fan of this place! During a business trip to Dallas, I was on a search to find a «fun» bar to go out to with my work colleagues. When I found out they had old school arcade games and giant Jenga, I was sold. We went on a Wednesday night, and it wasn’t busy at all. We walked in to a whole area of games including skeeball, Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Bros(yes!), Mario Kart(double yes!) and much more. And guess what? All free. Tucked away in the corner we found one of my most favorite bar games… table shuffleboard. We ended the night on the patio playing Jenga. Awesome place, and I would definitely recommend it and will stop in again. I also found out they have a bar in Austin, and will be stopping in when I’m there in August! A suggestion though… invest some money into the games. Many weren’t working properly or working at all for that matter.

By the time I got there, I missed out on karaōke with my coworkers. Getting in wasn’t a hassle at all, even though it was midnight on a Friday night. Wasn’t really my scene, but I could appreciate the games, the tv, and the size of the place. This was the first in a long time I felt like I was one of the oldest people in a bar and I’m turning 27(yikes!). The DJ did his best to keep the mixed crowd satisfied and my beer was cheap so I can appreciate that. I doubt I’d be back unless it was a specific outing, but it wasn’t horrible. The only issue I had was the service but it gets busy so I understand.

I was visiting Dallas from Chicago with a group of 3 young couples. We were coming off of the high of the Blackhawks beating the Stars and decided to celebrate the best way possible… with some karaōke obviously. We googled our options and ended up heading to Kung Fu Saloon despite the crappy Unilocal reviews about them being racist and overpriced. Strike 1: While we were waiting in line we observed a hispanic man being denied entry because his polo shirt was«too long.» He had a v-neck tee on so he asked if he could just take off his polo. The bouncer said yes, but they wouldn’t allow him to carry around the polo shirt in the bar so he would have to get rid of it somehow. The man said he took a taxi and the shirt was expensive and he didn’t want to throw it away so he ended up leaving. At this point, my hopes and dreams of singing karaōke were whittling away as everyone I was with were wearing hockey gear… surely we would be denied entry as well. We approach the bouncer and were all let in, no questions asked. We are all 27& white… just sayin Strike 2: We reserve a 12a slot in one of the karaōke rooms and have about 80 minutes to kill. The men posted up at the bar, and the ladies at a small table on the patio – each being served by different waitresses. The waitresses did a great job until it came time for us to move to the karaōke room. We had decided that it would be more economical to just get bottle service. The servers then awkwardly fought with eachother about who would be our server in the karaōke room. It wasn’t like we just noticed the tension between them… they actually came to us talking shit about eachother. Awky. They ended up both serving us in the room and were very attentive, it was just extremely awkward for everyone. Strike 3: The night is coming to an end and we close out our tab around 1:40a. So obviously we are pretty drunk at this point and very into our karaōke. Oblivious to the time, we all start fully committing to some Vitamin C «Graduation Song» and are having a great time. All of the sudden three giant men bust into our room saying«We are closed! You need to get the f*ck out!» I’m thinking, whoa there cowboy! We just spent $ 500 and if anyone gave us a 5 minute warning, or asked us to leave we would have been gone… there are no clocks in this room and our servers bounced the second they got our tip. Like, I get it… you want to end your shift and go home and you had no idea that there were still some drunkies in the karaōke room… but that was poor communication between the servers and the bouncers… not our fault! Before anyone can respond to the giants, one of the bouncers pries a drink FROMMYMOUTH! I was drinking a vodka cranberry and he pulled it out of my hands which caused it to spill all over my WHITE shirt! We get the eff out of there and I promised the ogre that spilled a red drink all over me that I would write him an awesome Unilocal review. I wish I cared as much about anything as he did about making sure the end of our night/vacation sucked. This place has the potential to be great if the staff communicated with each other and didn’t shit on their paying customers.

Love love love. What other bar can you knock back a couple, play Mario cart, ski ball, & sing karaōke ??? Whaaaaa! I was in heaven ! This is such a cool concept. I wish we can something similar in Nashville(Clydes maybe ??). Night of bar hopping led us here … There was a line but it moved pretty quickly ! The games were all free … Yes free. This place would be perfect for a Sunday funday !

One of the best bars for nightlife in uptown, simply because of the high volume of people that come here and the open and fun environment it promotes. They have bar games and arcade games, which are a great adder to a conversation, and people come in and out very quickly so it’s great for meeting people too. That being said, the staff is kind of terrible, but you’ll be alright as long as you don’t expect much from them.

If you’re looking for classy and chill bar, this is not the place for you! If you’re looking for a place to get wasted, Kung Fu is your go-to place. This bar has a ton of classic arcade games like Mario Kart, Pacman, Street Fighter, skeeball, oversized Jenga, and many more all for FREE! This is a great place for big groups. Drinks are fairly reasonable and if you know the bartenders the drinks can be quite stiff. They are somewhat strict with their dress code; no shorts or tank tops for guys, but t-shirt and jeans are fine. If you plan on bar hopping, this is a good spot to end the night.

It was a Sunday night. After an excellent dinner, my sister and I decided we needed to find a place where we could sing off key as much as we wanted and not bother anybody. Yes, we needed a private karaōke room. Enter Kung Fu Saloon. They had exactly what we needed, along with tasty sake bombs, some good cocktails, and many beers on tap. So we hung out and sang for a couple of hours. The playlist was maybe a little heavy on old country favorites and a little light on cheesy pop goodness, but on this night it didn’t matter too much. I noticed skee ball and a variety of video games perfect for millennial nostalgia. We’ll have to explore those on some future occasion. But for now, you have done me well, Kung Fu Saloon.

I really enjoyed this place. Drinks were good and the bartenders were friendly. They have free games all over the place with a huge outside patio. Everyone outside is either playing jinga or watching a jnga game. It was pretty entertaining. They have street parking on the side and a parking lot in the back. Definately a place to go if you are looking to have a fun time with some friends.

Was looking for a cool place to go within walking distance from my hotel in Turtle Creek and ran into this place. Granted it was a Wednesday night, this place was pretty busy considering. The crowd was a little younger, but I was with a group of work friends so we had a big enough group where we did not feel out of place. When I say younger, I mean most were 21 years old. The building is called Kung Fu and really the only thing that goes with the name of the bar are some drawings in the bar on the walls, so that was a little confusing. They have a lot of beer on tap and a full bar. There are video games and skeeball in the bar too. The skeeball was free too so it ended up being a pretty good addition to the experience. There is also an outdoor area/patio you can go on that is large and has seating. Cool place if you want to have a couple beers with your friends or just hand out on a weekday. I am sure the weekends are very busy here and probably a lot of fun.

I’ve been to Kung Fu many times throughout the last few years that it’s been open. The place has always been extremely crowded; however, that’s to expect at any bar in this part of town. I think most of the guys here are pretty douchey, so even when I want to come and hang with girlfriends, I always feel like they are better places to go. I do like the fact that the doorman always let ladies in without having to wait in that long line. That’s a definite plus!

During the day this place is a great watering hole. They have good drinks, great staff and free arcade games. This is the only reason they get three stars instead of a low two. At night it’s a sardine factory where you are crammed in like a bunch of fucking fish and it’s almost impossible to get a drink. By the time you get one, it’s time for another(but be ready to wait for another 30 minutes). Because of this, order a shot with each beer or cocktail so as not to end up sober and broke at the end of the night. Douchebaggery is rampant too. That goes with the neighborhood, but it still kind of sucks. Popped collars are the norm. I don’t judge, but you can’t help but to notice that some of the patron here are dipshits. This bar is fun. I don’t mean to be all negative, but damn it takes a perfect night for it to work out. You need a good crew and a lot of money to be able to enjoy the packed-in nature of this place. As an added bonus, in the summer there is a wafting scent of BO and Jersey shore cologne hanging in the air for your fututre pucking pleasure. Parking? Forget about it!

This place is racist and judgmental and will turn you away if you are part of any stereotype they don’t like(including homosexuals, african americans, etc…) It’s a wonder how this place is still open.
