Was having some vision symptoms that led me to believe I might have a beginning retina detachment. Dr Jost was in my PPO network. I called as a new patient and they worked me in the same day. Turns out it was only that the vitreous «jelly» was pulling away from the retina, but there was no tear. I listened as the receptionist was making routine appointments, they were four weeks out. I really appreciate Dr Jost working me in. He was very personable and friendly. He is Board Certified and only does retinas.

After discovering a retina tear at my optometrist, she sent me to this retina specialist to confirm her findings and to schedule a surgery. I was going blind in my right eye.
Dr. Jost was a little stiff and pedantic and with the faint friendliness and charisma of a Baptist preacher.
When he walked in I was almost in tears.
He confirmed the need for an immediate surgery. I didn’t have insurance.
He a bit condescendingly reproached,
«It’s going to boil down to money.»
The girl at the front desk boiled the bill down to what the Medicare fee would be, a third of the original cost
The surgery was the next day. I healehed on time, the surgery was flawless.
Dr. Jost might be no nonsense, but he gave me exceptional care and got my eye sight back.
