This is where the party REALLY happens. 4 stars for the music and dancers. Gawd so many great dancers frequent here. The bouncer is a fairly funny dude. I don’t usually get a drink but if you’re trying for the bar, its difficult to get to the counter on a busy night here, because when it’s busy… It’s packed, and the layout is not the best to accommodate all of those people. Every time I have gone here the music has been on point. The crowd is so diverse it’s wild. Most of the people here love to dance with other people than just the friend group they came with. Once, a girl dropped her phone in the middle of the dance floor. Some people were just kind of looking at it so I grabbed it and gave it back to her. I think she was grateful and she danced with me and my friend for a while. It was fun! This is a place where you are incredibly in the minority if you aren’t LGBT so get ready, if you are straight and going there, get ready for the millions of questions about WHY are you there? Lol! It made me feel like I was the only straight woman there. But definitely, come here if you’re looking for a fun time and need to shake off some stress from your day. I wish this place was a little bit bigger but it’s great nonetheless. Keep an eye on your friends though. This place reminds me of the college dance parties I never went to. And some people in the crowd act kind of petty. Watch your belongings here!

$ 5 cover and only dress code is no hats allowed. My friends and I were not planning to go clubbing so we weren’t dressed up. They still let us in with the guys wearing shorts and flip flops! Sweet. Dance floor was packed, they played a lot of unce unce unce music… I mean EDM. The bartenders pour HEAVY! You’re definitely getting your moneys worth for drinks!

To turn away a longtime paying customer who buys a lot of drinks just because they choose to wear a hat is wrong. I thought this was a gay bar. Gay means come as you are because you are accepted. YOUWILLNEVERSEEANOTHERDOLLARCOMEFROMMYPOCKET. Get to know your customers!

I went exploring with a friend on a Sunday night; most of the bars were empty or laid-back but we saw that Havana was popping — it was drag night! There was a $ 5 cover but when we turned around to leave(we are poor college grads!) the bouncer gave us tickets to get in for free. Inside, it was packed near the bar and dance floor, but there was plenty of seating up front. My friend and I were the only white people there(literally), but everyone we spoke with was super friendly. Drinks were pricey in comparison to the bars nearby, but the drag show was worth it. I will definitely be returning on a more dance-friendly night!

I have a love/hate relationship with Havanas. On one end the club is one of the best places to party in Oak Lawn, on the other hand the club can get really ratchet. The place is not as big as S4 or maybe even round up but the music is so good if youre into hip hop/latin/reggaeton, stuff that the other clubs on the strip dont play much of. But my main complain is that even though theyre are some nice partiers, some have came off rude. I was there for Thanksgiving and they had a money drop with the money in these balloons. I grabbed one and tried to get away from the crowd to pop the balloon and this dude just popped my balloon making me lose my money I was so mad. Theres also cops outside Havanas every weekend there. The Emcee is good there except for when he ignored me during the twerking contest. I would go there again but I wont make it an everyday thing.

One of the best clubs Ive been too! Everyone was so nice and sweet the bouncers were very nice as well(not like in other places). Even though the place gets kinda packed no one gets mad if you bump into them they just start dancing with you! I am so coming back again!!!

I always have the best time here. We’ve only been on Thursdays to see the show. The drinks are good and cheap before 11 and its free to get in before midnight. After midnight, it turns into a club. Its a small place and gets really crowded but they keep the ac on full blast so its still comfortable! The bathrooms are small, but so is the rest of the place so what do you expect. I will definitely be back!

This place is usually always very crowded you cant walk anywhere without bumping into someone, its very small and they only have 2 stalls in the restroom so there is usually a long wait. On the positive side its pretty crunk in there and the people who go there are pretty friendly, and also they have a patio thats cool too where lots of people mingle. I used to come here alot but its not my first choice of clubs on the strip anymore.

I’ve been to Havana twice now. I always want to go in, but the cover always stops me. The first time I went I was so drunk, that nothing could deter my good time. The second time I went, this was not the case. The place kind of has a funny odor. It can get very crowded, and the drinks are a little pricey for what’s in the glass. The guys here can be a little leery, and that’s annoying also. The DJ mostly sucks, but this is pretty much the only urban setting in the area. If, they got rid of the ridiculous cover, I’d give this place and another shot, and would probably have given it 4 stars

If I could give no stars, I would. I have loved Havana in the past because their music selection is terrific(I hate techno, love rap and Latin music). I went here the other night and the bartender gave my credit card to someone else and gave me theirs, and when I tried to point it out, they ignored me and treated me like crap. It took almost half an hour to get the manager(after the bouncer first told me that she was not there, and then that she was busy). She claimed that I had switched my card with«the man I was with» even though I only came with my girlfriend, no one else. She was a complete bitch and refused to own up to the fact that they had lost my credit card, which was then used by the person they gave it to at another bar. Worst customer service ever. The manager kept telling me that she had a busy bar to tend to, but couldn’t be bothered to tend to a paying customer who will sadly never be back again.

I should preface this review with two things: 1. I went on Halloween. 2. My club going days are pretty much long gone. So, Halloween. This is my first time out in Oak Lawn for Halloween. There are gobs and gobs of people outdoors and indoors. We paid a five dollar cover to get into Havana and it was SOCROWDED! In fact, crowded is an understatement. The place smelled of sweat and you couldn’t walk anywhere without rubbing up against 10 people. I don’t prefer to rub up against sweaty people when I am sober… or drunk. The music was a mixture of many things. I heard some Michael Jackson, salt n pepper, and some Latin music. I enjoyed the selection but dancing was impossible. There were people, despite the crowd, trying to twirl their partners and then behind you would be people shoving you out of the way for pictures. A friend needed a water, we ordered a water and they started to hand us an opened, half gone bottle of water… oops? For the crowd size I thought the wait at the bar was reasonable. Just too many people. and I paid for that.): I wouldn’t be opposed of going back outside of Halloween to see what it’s like but generally upset when covers are involved. Parking is going to be on the street and unless this place is dead outside of Halloween I picture that to be a challenge.

A cute Latin boys birthday was reason enough to enjoy the decidedly urban and very hispanic gay nightclub. A bumping predictable ghetto soundtrack gave cute boys reason to gyrate. Kinda felt like Mexico — black nights too. Clean and sexy.

Ladies night needed some serious energy so we decided to check out the Oaklawn area. We decided on Havana seeing as they have a pretty eclectic style of music. Parking was pretty easy as there was a lot on the street. There were a couple of private lots to park in which ranged from $ 7 – 10. We parked maybe a block from the club. No cover charge last night, and I am not sure if there is normally one. Rather than going in the main front entrance, we were guided to go in through the patio area and pass by the buffet which was set up outside. The food smelled delicious but none of us were hungry. Seeing as there was no cover I assume that the food was not complimentary. Drinks are priced similarly to those in the uptown area. We all ordered gin and tonics and they were not only skimpy on the alcohol, but tasted kind of strange… couldn’t quite put my finger on it. The crowd was pretty damn entertaining, and we have LOTS of crazy stories despite the fact that we were only there for about an hour. From seeing two big girls scissoring and exposing their giant boobies(which was like a train wreck… we just could not stop watching) to a dude getting down and dirty on the floor in his two pairs of undies to a girl completely degrading herself for a complimentary $ 50 bar tab… WHOA, it was an interesting evening! Seating is extremely limited here so don’t plan on sitting unless you get there early. They also had a smoke machine going which I personally do not like. Overall, I was not wowed by this place and would probably not come back. I would definitely check out one of the other bars in the area. In comparison to other gay friendly establishments in the area the only real upside to this place was the fact that there was no cover. Not enough reason for me to return.

i went to havana a couple of years ago to eat. it was a buffet, and i usually don’t do buffets, but the food was actually different and eclectic. cuban and indian themed foods were on the buffet at that time. i went last night for a party and i will say that the place is a bit small to capacitate large groups. it looks nice on the inside, but space and seating are too limited on busy nights. i’d suggest going early to make sure you get a good seat.

AHHHHH food included in the price of entrance? You can’t beat that! Cover is $ 5 – 10, but it includes a ticket you can redeem for a plate of food. It’s not that delicious, but when you’re drunk already, all that greasy goodness goes down fabulously. They have drag night, «hip hop» night, «latin» night, etc., so you get a nice variety of people and music. Here’s a tip: dress to impress on hip hop night… the gayshas can be catty! There’s street parking nearby, and also a valet parking lot right next to the entrance.
