My calzone was great! The cashier was very friendly. Would definitely go back!

Fantastic food and some of the best customer service you’ll come across in the area. Fast and friendly and they treat you as though you were family. Highly recommend the lasagna or pasta primavera, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Best Italian and pizzeria in the area, no doubt.

Fantastic! Just what this Italian boy needed on a cold night! Great food, great service! Update: Went back the next night because it was so good the first time, and it was even better on a Saturday with not much of a crowd. This place is a gem! I almost hate saying how great it is! Seriously, this place is the best!

I love their pizza because of the quality of the food. Normally I order pepperoni everywhere else, however when I’m here I always order something different than the last time. The variety is unmatched along with the way they make their pizza. A must try and always good for lunch or dinner or after a night of drinking.

Italia Express is my go to place to get an amazing pizza, and the people there are really nice. Every time I walk in there the people have a great smile in there faces. They make my day every time.

Great food and great service! Huge, tasty slices for a good price and tons of options on their menu. If you’re craving a quick Italian bite, this is the place to go. Plenty of places to sit and ample parking, although it was a little packed on a Friday night. I was not too impressed with the mozzarella sticks, but am looking forward to trying their other pastas and entrees. Nice, quaint atmosphere with interesting wall art to enjoy.

This is one of the best values I have encountered in any city. Food is great! I opted for the margarita pizza. The slices are huge. I am a bit picky about bread, crust and such. This totally meets my standards. My husband ordered spaghetti with Italian sausage. It is excellent. All too often, we dine in restaurants whose style exceed there substance. In this instance, that is not the case. The scales lean toward their substance exceeding their style. Although, I want to be quick to add that the ambience is clean, casual, comfortable, nice lighting, with good service and fun people. You will order you selection at the counter, and they will bring it out to you. The balance between great food, good service, nice comfortable ambience, at a great price point makes Italia Express a perfect choice.

Great choice for pizza and other options. Highly recommend their salads. You get a Huge portion for the costs. I think the salsas we got were $ 7 or $ 8 each… I got the spinach salad thinking it would be an app/small side. Nope! I couldn’t even eat my slice of pizza because I was stuffed from the salad :) tons of toppings with the salads. The staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations as this was my first time in.

Great food and great prices. If you’re looking for a filling and delicious salad, while on the Cedar Springs area, this is your best choice. The Mediterranean salad with chicken is HUGE. It is a base of mixed greens, black olives, feta cheese, penne pasta. Chicken is optional and adds $ 3 to the bill, but it’s totally worth it. Another great item in the menu is their coffee. Regardless of what you choose to drink(capuccino, or espresso), they have Lavazza coffee! Their pizza is great too. IMO, you can’t go wrong going to this restaurant on Cedar Springs/Oak Lawn neighborhood.

We got chicken Alfredo pizza and veggie pizza which was extremely fresh and delicious. We also got the pesto pasta and primavera with chicken which was good but I thought it could have used some more salt. They upgraded our garlic bread for cheese bread for free which I thought was really nice of them. The spinach chicken Stromboli was also amazing! Overall I really loved this place!

You see, before I start this review. I just want to preface that upon my first time ever in Texas, I had no idea what to expect. Aside from the assumption that they would no doubt have great barbecue. But as always, first things are first. So of course the first stop we made was for… Yes, you guessed it, pizza. This joint is in a more, «liberal» part of Texas if you catch my drift. But but don’t let that deter you from the great service and excellent food. The three main items are calzones, pies and strumboli(kinda like a calzone but more like a sandwich) The only complaint I had was that the pizza was already ready to eat when I got there. At first, I thought it was just a display until he sliced it and placed it back in the oven to warm it up. Overall the pizza is definitely«authentically Italian influenced» thin, long, greasy slice with a heavy crust. The way a pizza should be. Amen.

There’s so much bland NY style pizza in Dallas that’s not even worth keeping for breakfast the next morning. Italia express is an exception. Huge pies. Good selection of pastas and calzones as well. Staff is super nice, and the price is just right. Word of warning, their pizza boxes don’t fit in a standard refrigerator so if you order takeout you might want to invite some friends.

If you’re an entitled jerk who thinks that they should receive great service from a budget pizza shop then you should probably be sent off to a camp somewhere for reeducation … At any rate, this evening I got better service from this place than my last 10 restaurant experiences combined … Thank you for going the extra step to make sure that I’m happy … These guys are taking all my money from now on … ps The meatballs are really delicious …

Highlights: — Decent prices(tax already included!) — Great amount of food — Cozy interior with outdoor seating to bring your animals Often when it comes to late night cuisine you’re lacking for choices. Fortunately Italia Express raises the bar for late night eats on Cedar Springs. From slices of pizza to giant calzones it’s sure to fill you up. The prices are all totally reasonable and the prices on the menu all include tax already(feel free to bring cash without having to deal with annoying amounts of change in return). The slices of pizza seem hardly worth it when you can buy the whole pizza at a huge discount(so bring your friends)! The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. Not sure about the parking situation, but definitely worth it if you’re in the area clubbing or bar hopping and need a quick fill up.

It would be very easy for this place to be a cynical, low-quality operation: its main competitor across the street is gone, and(as you can tell from the cups) it’s essentially a food service outlet. But somehow they make very good Italian-American food here at an attractive price. Side salad($ 5) was if anything over-cheesed but had a good balance of vegetables and dressing otherwise. Baked ziti($ 8) was hot and fresh with a fine tomato sauce. Pizza by the slice($ 4) was the star, with genuinely excellent hand-tossed crust, supple but not too chewy or dense. At that price, and for such a huge slice, the cheese isn’t too memorable, but it was an excellently balanced slice. Again, given that they probably get a lot of the none-too-discerning late night crowd they could get away with much less care and quality, but the staff care deeply about their customers and it shows in the experience. Nothing here is groundbreaking or mind-blowing but at the price it’s by far the best in the area. All prices include sales tax. Beer and wine available, as well as Lavazza coffee and a few desserts.

If you’re in the area. This is where to be. Portions are shareable in size, family portions! Dishes are exploding in flavor. Rich creamy pasta the way it should be. Pizza topping to sauce ratio is perfection. Every dish here is amazing. They really know what they’re doing. Best mom pop Italian You can get The only thing lacking is maybe service. One of the cashiers was just really out of it or confused or just rude but the expression showed in his face. This also is not a busy joint so okay… I do understand. I can’t expect someone with superb servicing skills taking care of me.

Came here to grab a quick slice of pizza with a friend. I instantly thought of Sbarro when I saw the lineup. However, if I had to choose, I’d pick Italia Express over Sbarro. I got a slice of the cheese pizza(mind you, their slices are more than generous). The cheese looked a bit stale as if it was sitting out for a while. However, when they threw it in their oven and I took a bite, it was just amazing. Can’t judge a pizza by its looks now! The cashier was friendly and had a good sense of humor. They have seating both inside and outside, both areas spacious. If I lived in Dallas, I would definitely come back to get my pizza fix. Wish they franchised this place in California.

Ok, so I’m more of an Italian food lover than my wife. Since she had dinner plans… figured I’d have dinner here. It reminded me of this Italian spot that used to be in the metroplex called Fazoli’s. I walked in and was greeted by the cashier with a smile and a very helpful attitude. He laughed and talked with me and made some suggestions as I eyeballed the menu and the food. LOL I went with the chicken baked ziti and garlic bread… score. I paid and went and sat at a table by the window so I could watch all the people out on the strip this day. Within about 10 minutes or so, they brought out my ziti w/the bread following shortly. Piping hot… it’s on and popping LOL I didn’t really care for the chicken because it was chunks without a lot of flavor :-(…but the sauce was greatness… this literally was the best baked ziti I’d ever had. The bread was perfection and a great accompaniment for sopping up the sauce from the ziti LOL Overall the service and food here was great and I’ll definitely be back… especially since it’s right across the street from JR’s. I can come here to sober up after Sunday Funday! :-)

DONOTORDERTHESPAGHETTIWITHMEATBALLS. I definitely did not order the best dish in the restaurant, but I have to rate this place based on my own experience. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs to carb load for my half marathon the next day. I was very excited seeing that this place received raving reviews! They served up the dishes quickly, along with the appetizing biscuits. The spaghetti itself was good. The noodle tasted fine and the sauce was a good flavor. However, the meatballs were very disappointing, unfortunately. They were very very soft and soggy, and felt like they were cooked in water for just a bit too long, leaving the product tasting bland and diluted. My friends also noticed the sogginess, which was especially obvious when you try to smash the meatball into meat sauce and the meatball just disintegrates with the lightest touch of your fork. Very sad. I tried my friends’ dishes, and all of them were pretty good. My friend’s ravioli had this thick sauce that went very well with the biscuits. In all, I am disappointed by my personal experience here. If I could, I would give this place 3.5 stars, and when I return, I will definitely try something that is not the spaghetti and meatballs.

Time and time again, this place has delivered me amazing customer service. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I’ve been several times since my first visit, once after a fun night out on the strip; that pizza really tasted like heaven that time. Trying to keep a healthy and balanced lifestyle, I went with their Greek salad with grilled chicken added. The price for it was only $ 9 and the portion was not only a good size, it was delicious and everything tasted so fresh. It wasn’t overly dressed with dressing, just the right amount to give it that extra zing. The chicken was nice and juicy and the perfect compliment for the crispy greens. This has got to be one of my favorite spots and a go to for me and my partner now. An option for those on the lighter side– to those wanting those mighty delicious carbs. I will return plenty more. Just shows that amazing staff makes a place that much more remarkable; keep it up!
