Nice folks work here. It’s a little pricey. Most of the time I’d rather wait for Amazon or ThoughtHammer to deliver than pay the premium(full list price) and risk my car in the Valley View parking lot. They don’t have a web site and they don’t appear at BGG. Con, just down the road. Also, very limited selection of accessories(e.g. card sleeves, dice towers, etc.). Also, it’s a lot easier to find the newer Essen stuff online and pre-order it. I have a bad feeling that mom/pop places like this are just getting less and less viable.

I was looking for the 5 – 6 player expansion to Settlers of Catan and this was the only store I found within miles that carried it(and all the other expansions as well). The person I spoke to on the phone was helpful and friendly. The price of the game was identical to buying direct from the game website. It looked like they have a great selection of games that might be hard to find at major retailers.

Very cool store. I can’t imagine there’s a more thorough game store in the Dallas area — this place has everything. The owners(a husband and wife team) are super knowlegeable and can give you great recommendations. Whether you’re looking for something specific or just want to browse, Game Chest is great. It’s one of the few stores left in Valley View I like!

Probably the best game store that I’ve found in Dallas. This isn’t one of those trendy stores that you find that has everything and a little bit more than your major retailers have. This is one of those serious gamer stores where you can find stuff that you can’t find elsewhere. If you haven’t been bitten by the game bug, I have a few suggestions that may get you started. You probably can get all of these at this location: –Fluxx — An awesome card game that you’ve never heard of. Just buy it.( ) –Carcassonne — — There is also an ipod app that is well worth the money. –Betrayal at House on the Hill — 2nd edition just got released. Expensive at $ 50, but I’d argue that it’s worth it. It’s complex as hell, but it’s a cool party game. Remember kids – it’s not a matter of if you win or lose… it’s how you play the game!

I came here looking for some more Munchkin cards while visiting friends in Dallas. This place was very hard to track down. First off they don’t have a website and the owner told me he didn’t see what good having one would do. After much hunting I finally found the address and we went. Pretty nice game store. Good selection but not great. The dude behind the counter was kinda helpful but a little dismissive. Though as far as I could tell it was only game store in Dallas so maybe everyone that lives there just knows about it.

A few years ago, I was introduced to a couple hard-to-find games that you can’t buy at any regular Target or Walmart. Those same friends that introduced me to those games also introduced me to Game Chest, a store specializing in just that. This particular location has a great assortment of games as well as a helpful and knowledgeable staff. See a game that interests you? More than likely one of the staff members has played it and can give you a little insight on it. For anyone interested in unique board games and card games, this would be the place. I will say, they may be a few dollars more expensive than some online stores I’ve seen, but for supporting an independent store as well as having access to the staff’s unlimited knowledge, I would certainly pay a little extra.

Oh my God, this place has SO many games. Wall to wall games. And I believe it’s the only place in the Metroplex where you can get Set, Quiddler, Xactica AND Five Crowns( to see what I’m talking about). Lots and lots o’ games. Go there when you’re in search of a hard-to-find card or board game as you’re probably very likely to find your treasure here.
