I left upset today after attempting to exchange an unused item. I feel that Lakeshore has deceptive sales practices. First, I bought my item yesterday 1÷17÷16. It was«Beat the Clock! Sight-Word Practice Board — Level 1» marked at 24.99. I used a 50% off 1 item coupon that stated it would not work on sale items. It did not work on my most expensive item, even though it was full price(49.99). I paid 12.50 for the Beat the Clock board(half price of the original sticker price) and when I got home I realized I needed level 2. Today, 1÷18÷16, I went to exchange the item and was told that it was a sales item and it was sold out. Well, my issue is that my full priced item should have been 50% off and this«sales» item should have been the plain sales price. The coupon should not have went towards a sales item, per their rules. It was marked 19.99 on the back, yet on my receipt it shows 24.99. Strange. The sales representative also told me the board was sold out, yet it is for online for 24.99. I will use Mardel and Teacher’s Tools from now on. I do not appreciate dishonesty.

I wish there were more locations for Lakeshore Learning because this one is a bit out of our way and a longer drive than we’d like. We like to attend the free arts and crafts held on saturdays and take advantage of their sales. Great educational tools and toys for all ages. The staff are always friendly and plenty of parking.

Love this store! The employees are always helpful and nice. I don’t recommend the dressing boards. They come in a pack of 3 with a snap board, button board and a zipper board. I had these in my classroom for only 4 days before they began to literally come apart at the seams. At $ 40 I expected better quality. Other than that I highly recommend Lakeshore.

Most toy stores are a mish mash of plastic things that light up and move for no reason. Not at lakeshore learning! For starters, this store is just as delightful as an other toy store with as many lights, sounds and fun thing that jump and move around! Big plus for how it is organized, because as a first time mom I can get kind of overwhelmed going into a toy store with my little one. I can’t wait till my little boy can walk around and explore himself but even I was enjoying myself as we walked up and down the aisles. Price wise, it was a little expensive … but you are clearly paying for quality toy brands like Melissa and Doug! These are toys that will last from your first child to your third! In addition, their staff was very helpful and friendly. Another tip, join their teacher’s club which is their discount program so you will be in on their sales and discounts! Happy shopping!

Love this store! Little pricey, but if you want some great items to use in your classroom and lack creativity… or time, check it out! Great staff! :)

Worth the drive and $! I was tired of buying toys for my kids, then being disappointed when they would not play with them. Lakeshore has lots of toys OUT so the kids can be hands-on with them. This way I know they will play with them at home for a long time! The well-trained employees also know what toys are the most popular with kids. Sign up for coupons!

This is the best of the best when it comes to child education. I’ve been all over North Dallas. Hands down, they have the best selection and the most hopper/teacher program is the BOMB!! reasonable prices. The frequent shopper/teacher program is the BOMB!

Visited here on a whim last week and was awestruck. The number of games and learning aids for young kids just blew us away and left us wishing we’d found this place a few years ago(our daughter is in kindergarten). We bought several items here including several that will be birthday gifts for our daughter. We gave her one phonetic learning game early and she has played with it every single day. Can’t say enough about how useful the items here are and what a kids delight it is. I normally don’t review stores but this place deserves such high marks I was moved to do so. Note that many of the games are such that you can buy and share them with friends/family. I.e. come with enough boards/pieces for 4 kids or more.
