I was visiting from PA on business and staying at Fairmont hotel. This was a nice little find on Unilocal.I didn’t feel like sit down fancy lunch. This was very inexpensive with local flavor and great quality. Thanks Unilocal

Fresh food and most is made to order. A large variety including sandwiches, salads, pasta, classic American choices, burgers and more. The atmosphere is full of business professionals. The environment is aesthetically pleasing, quiet and comfortable.

I like it! :-) This is how a downtown cafeteria should be. There are different lines to choose from, depending on your mood, and everything looks so fresh. I strolled to the grill line and after changing my mind 10 times I finally ordered the forty five oak patty melt with sweet potato fries… delicious. The grill also had salmon, ribeye steaks, many varieties of burgers, and sides such as fries, tots, etc. It can be a bit overwhelming if you walk in hungry! I will surely be back to try the other lines.

I used to like it just for the convenience, however, the food is just mediocre. If you want a burger, go over to the First Baptist Church(much better!). Today I went in for a sandwich and their house made chips. The chips were TERRIBLE — greasy, limp, chewy. The sandwich was just so-so(the sandwich maker is very stingy with the toppings). For the money, Subway is a better deal.

If you want something that is reminiscent of a hospital or college cafeteria, you’ve found the place! There are several stations of different types of food, so you get what you want and then pay at the end. The food isn’t bad at all and the prices are average. I work downtown, so it’s really handy to have when I forget to bring my lunch. Not my favorite place in the world, but not bad at all!

Decided to shake it up for lunch a bit and was so pleased to find this little gem of a restaurant! If you work downtown, there are only a handful of fast, casual places you can go and they rotation tends to get boring. This place can be a bit tough to find, but it’s in the building right across from Dakota’s on the second floor. This place is a like a gourmet cafeteria, with a sandwich station, bbq station, burger station, salad station, and even a nice spread of dessert. Everything looked so tempting and very fresh! I debated for a while between the chicken taco + fresh-made guac and the island salmon burger, but ultimately went with the latter. All the burgers were made to order, so mine took about 5 – 8 minutes to cook on the grill before a delicious lemon pesto was spread on the bun and topped with spinach. I added a side of tots for a little under $ 2. It was a good choice since I got maybe 15 – 20 tots — well worth the value! Right next to the burger station, there is a small section for condiments where you can pile on pickles, onions, lettuce, etc. Checkout was easy, but it was tough not to be tempted by the frozen yogurt machine and adjacent display of toppings, but I held my willpower and paid just for my sandwich. You can order your food to go, or sit in the café, but I chose to sit in the café. The salmon was very flavorful and the lemon pesto was the perfect condiment complement, lightening up the salmon without being too heavy. I also added some onions from the condiment bar which added a nice crunch. My colleagues all opted for the bbq and I was surprised by how much food was on their plate — but everyone’s plates were clean by the end of lunch. Everyone seemed very happy with their choices, and this will likely become one of our regular lunch spots. Great find in the middle downtown — give it a try if you’re in the area! It’s got something for everyone.

I eat here every day! I love this place and have introduced dozens of people from my office to it. The food is fresh, and the options change daily. They have different food stations, which can please even the pickiest eater! You will wonder how you didn’t come sooner!

I am sooooo surprised by the lack of stars in the reviews for Forty Five Oaks! This downtown cafeteria is a staple in our office lunch routine. There are always multiple choices and at every station, you can customize just about anything. The soups are super yummy, flavorful and affordable and the grill has great selection with a few go-tos including my personal favorite, a grilled cheese. Wednesday is pasta day with hand-tossed pasta made to order and Friday is handmade guacamole at the same station. So fresh and Daniel does a great job of making everyone feel welcome and special. I mean, the guy had my order down by my third pasta day! The only chink in the armor for me is the price. But hey, I will pay for convenience!

What could be a super place to eat seems to always be a disappointment to my friend and me. We ate here a week ago, and the food was great. This week, the food overall was poor quality. They’ve improved their bread/rolls, which are now soft and tasty. The pecan crusted catfish was pretty good. The sauce was weird though and reminded us of thousand island dressing. We both got cheese grits and overcooked/leftover tasting broccoli with a bland runny so-called cheese sauce. The«cheese» grits were tasteless. For the prices they charge, I expect something considerably better. This place is totally hit-or-miss on how the food may be from one week to the next.

I always enjoy eating here. The décor is really nice and comforting. There food choices are extensive and everything here is yummy. I’ve been here for breakfast, and the choices in the morning are almost as overwhelming as the lunch choices. I almost want to eat one of everything, can you say Oink Oink. This last visit I got a regular Hamburger and fries. The hamburger was very juicy and the fries were delicious. I know you’re saying what’s so special about a burger, well you might just have to try it for yourself now won’t you! ! ! The prices are decent and make this place a winner with the downtown work crowds.

I can’t believe I had not heard about this place in the three years I have worked downtown. Such a nice break from the usual hustle and bustle of all the fast food joints. The best way for me to describe it is an upscale cafeteria. The café has several different stations to choose from a grill, hot food line, sandwiches, specialty item line(make your own pasta, etc.) and a salad station. My coworkers and I loved it because we could each choose something different. Our table had a grilled chicken salad, tortellini pasta with shrimp, a roast beef sandwich and a hot plate with carved roast beef and vegetables. Overall, the food was well cooked and nicely displayed. Definitely higher quality food than most other quick serve locations. My favorite part was the plethora of options for dessert. Cakes and pies looked delicious and were well packaged for the trip back to the office. The seating area was very modern and clean. We went a little early and had our choice of tables but I did notice that by the time we left at 12:30 the tables were filling up. Will definitely go back soon.

Are you ADD? Do you have problems deciding on what to eat? Does a dissying array of choices stop you in your tracks? Then this place isn’t for you! Multiple lines, from grill, to full, soup/salad, deli and a changing made on the spot line… you HAVE to make a choice. This is a nicely done location inside the lincoln bldg downtown and the prices are very reasonable for quantity and quality! great ambiance, plentiful seating. Come right in! This is the pefect spot when not everyone wants to eat the same thing… a choice for everyone!

When you work at a law firm or any professional office, you know that time during the day is premium. It can be tough to make time for lunch, and you usually have to settle for whatever is coming out of the fryer or the sandwich meat that the building deli has on hand if you didn’t brown bag your own. Fortunately, downtown professionals have a new lunch oasis to turn to in the newly remodeled Lincoln Plaza café. Tucked away on the second floor of — you guessed it — the Lincoln Plaza, this literal definition of cornucopia serves up a broad array of culinary delights that are sure to please any palate and satisfy any appetite. The layout is station-based. The mainstays are the deli station that serves up a wide array of uncafeteria-like sandwiches and an entrée station that serves a rotating feature throughout the week. Today I had the pleasure of dining on «Ancho Rubbed Barbecue Brisket» served with roasted corn, a grilled squash medley, and jalepeño cornbread. Tomorrow, the station will feature pan-fried pork chops. Remember the buzzwords of the internet era like«edutainment», «actualization», and«vertical integration»? My new delicious addition to my list is «menutainment», which has a station that goes by the same name. Today’s selection was«Welcome to the Wing Shack», where a chef dressed in white hand tossed wings in your selection of sauce. My personal mainstay favorite at the grill station is a hand-cut 8oz ribeye marinated in a mind-altering blend of oil and spices cooked to medium-rare perfection, served with a generous portion of sweet potato fries. Each time I order this steak, I am reminded of why I decided to stay plugged in. «I know this steak doesn’t exist. I know that when I put it in my mouth, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious. After nine years, you know what I realize? Ignorance is bliss.» Oh, and it was only $ 7. The menu evolves so much that you feel like you are walking into a different fine dining restaurant each time you walk in. The décor in this place also contributes to the overall feel of a fine dining experience. Downtown professionals, rejoice. Just because you slave away like a droid doesn’t mean you have to eat like one. Put down the paper-wrapped burger, and go indulge at the Lincoln Plaza Café. Your palate and wallet will both thank me later.
