Endive

I am starting to become a lunch regular! I always come for the soup of the day! It is always changing and always delicious! Extremely helpful staff and relaxing environment!
I only gave it four stars because I haven’t tried many menu items. Once, I get the ball rolling I shall edit!

Great new place! Very nice inside and conveniently located by the mall. Here are some high points:
— They manage to be healthy, tasty, fresh. Those three can be hard to achieve at the same time.
— Friendly and knowledgable staff. They were great!
— Great prices for what you are getting and in this area of town. Stop by when you’re in the area!

Staff is very friendly and helped me with my choices the first couple of times I walked in the door. I usually pick up food to take back to the office, but the interior is nice and quiet and seems well maintained.
I’ve had both the Zen and the Tex-​Mex salads, and they are both great. Haven’t had a sandwich, but they look really good. Will probably get one on my next trip.
Price-​wise, they are a little pricey for a salad. Would give them 6 stars if the salads I had gotten were a couple dollars cheaper. Overall, my experiences here have been great!

Solid lunch place, I like getting «The Texan» with chicken sausage. A little messy, but tastes good.
Only main knock is the lack of options. There are only a few sandwiches/​salads to choose from.

So, kudos to Endive for the following:
— Creative toppings that you don’t see at most other make-​your-​own-​salad places. For example: mango, grilled corn, grilled peppers.
— Reasonable starting price ($ 6.75 for any six toppings you want).
Minus points for the following:
— Limiting your choice to six toppings (I’m accustomed to getting at least 8 toppings at Snappy, or unlimited toppings at Salata).
— Displaying the toppings in a way that it’s really hard to see what your choices are, and then shit, you realize you forgot one you wanted.
— Being totally out of mixed greens (wtf…you’re a salad place, you shouldn’t run out of salad). I almost walked out when I heard that, and I should have.
— Being totally out of the bread that comes with the salad (and not offering a slice of the sandwich ciabatta or really anything in place of that — just essentially «sorry, you pay the same today but get less for your money»).
— Prices jump once you add meat (I paid around $ 11 for my steak salad, and I could have paid the same amount but gotten more toppings elsewhere).
Even with their slightly more creative selection of toppings, I don’t see myself going back here. It’s decent if you’re in the area, but it’s not anything to go out of your way to try.

I was looking for «healthy lunch» in the area and this place was very highly rated, so my expectations were high. Meh.
Got the Zen salad with seared tuna. Good flavor and house-​made salad dressing. However, I would have loved to see them sear the tuna on the spot (like at Snappy Salads, etc). Felt like I was eating cold and floppy seared/​raw tuna.
Overall, didn’t bring much to the table. Flavor went away or got old fast. Somewhat soggy due to cold meat and overly drenched in salad dressing. Also, menu was super small so I felt very limited.
Won’t be coming back. Too many other good (not meh) and healthy options with better presentation and options.

This is a real gem. Everything was fresh and quality outstanding. I definitely am coming back but will have a hard time exploring the menu because I don’t see how I could eat anything but the ahi tuna on a ciabatta roll with mustard, Asian slaw and sriracha sauce.

Found this AWESOME salad/​quick lunch spot after telling Siri, «salads». Lol! Quiet atmosphere on my lunch break with some soft electronic background music. :) Very clean and hip feel to it; I love the bar area by the windows! I chose the tex-​mex salad with steak ($ 10) and it tasted very fresh and was perfectly portioned. I immediately had to tell everyone at work about it lol I’ll be going back to try all the other salads, but they do have sandwiches and soups I believe.

Amazing! Went here tonight because of a $ 5 for $ 10 deal on AmazonLocal. It’s very similar to Snappy Salads (one of my favorite places), but has a different (more artisan/​fresher) vibe. The food tastes even better than Snappys! The employee that helped me was incredibly friendly.
The only fault I can find is the price (same fault as Snappy). A salad is $ 8.75 with chicken or $ 9.75 with steak.

Good ahi tuna sandwich. One of the best quality sandwiches I’ve probably ever had. I hear they are expanding their menu soon! Can’t wait!!!

So happy that Endive has opened up by my office. It’s really convenient to grab a salad on the days I don’t have much time for lunch. I have been there a number of times and every time I’ve been happy with my salad. My standard order is a create your own salad with their warm steak on top with either ranch (made with fat free yogurt) or their balsamic dressing and a variety of toppings. I tried their version of a greek salad on my first visit and it was also delicious. The ingredients are very fresh and the staff is friendly.
Give it a shot if you haven’t been yet.
They make a soup in house each day so check that out as well — it’s usually something interesting (like curry apple and one day they had romaine. soup!) I had the Texas style chili once and it was really good.

Great salads and sandwiches! Greek salad my favorite! This is a locally owned establishment with the owner on site. Service — great! He even asked if we had any suggestions — only one: expand! We want more Endive locations around Dallas!

Haha this place is a bit of a joke next to other salad bars like Crisp. But location is key, I suppose.
First, it’s a salad place, why does it smell like something fried?
Second, their options are minimal. That’s ok, less is more right? Preset options are few and you can build your own salad as well. I decided to build my own with 6 toppings. To me, half of the things I asked for weren’t available, which was odd. No cauliflower? Hmm. Ok. No beans? Hmm.
Meat and portobellos mushrooms are about $ 3-​$ 5 extra. That’s fine, normal for other places.
Thirdly, it took probably 20 – 30 minutes to even get help and get a salad. There were maybe two one customers ahead of us? Two employees is not going to work for a crowd.
Lastly, why isn’t my salad chopped? It should be. I have a small mouth and like little bites of things without getting food all over my mouth (I know, that sounds particular) and having to wipe my mouth after every bite. They hardly wanted to chop my portobello smaller!
The place doesn’t look very organized when you look at the ingredients and things laid out. They’ve only been open for a couple months, so I can see the initial pitfalls, but this place has potential! Just a few changes and I would frequent this…

Paul’s passion for his food shines through and into my belly :) I ordered The Zen salad with Tuna, amazing — perfect for lunch… And filling enough for dinner! Stop in next time your by the Galleria, or make it the destination! Perfect lunch stop if you work in the area!

I was looking for a good sandwich after getting my nails done next door and Endive came up as a hot, new place to visit. Endive is on Alpha Rd right next to Plush Nails so luckily I didn’t have to walk far in my pedi flip flops (oh yes I did!).
In the middle of the day, this large, modernly furnished restaurant wasn’t very crowded, but it was also holiday break time so that could be a factor. I was promptly greeted and given a run down of the menu when I walked in. They have a few salads and sandwiches and since I was in the mood for a sammy, I went with the Texas BBQ on ciabatta bread. The sandwich comes with a bag of chips.
The Texas BBQ sandwich had a large, thick piece of grilled chicken breast, onion slices, cheese, and mild BBQ sauce. I’m sorry to say that something was just missing from the sandwich and it was really bland. Also the chicken breast was too thick for a sandwich.
I kind of hate when I go to a fast casual restaurant and I’m not sure whether to put my tray away or leave it on the table. It’s always awkward for me. I looked around and they had dish pans near the trash cans that looked like they were for the trays, but one of the associates said it was okay to leave my tray at the table. I guess you leave it at the table then.
I would go back, but I’m not in that much of a hurry.

Came in for late night salad and got the Tex-​mex salad with chicken. Wow so much flavor and taste. Great quiet and chill spot.

This place does everything really well… great food, low prices, fast service, attractive décor and ample parking.
The salad creations are very original and the ingredients are fresh and portion sizes are just right. I had the Greek with portobello, which was delicious. Prices are great; salads are around $ 10 or so. Service was very quick. It is also an extremely convenient location with ample parking, so I don’t think there is a risk of not finding a spot. I highly recommend this place.

The beanless beer chili was out of this world, I ate it in about five minutes and was sad I didn’t order a bigger size. I had the zen salad and it had fresh ahi tuna on top with a nice sear. Portions were great and as nutrition and flavor are important to me, this really hit the spot. Definitely coming back.

came here before my hair appointment and their Greek salad with chicken was an A+. I wouldn’t change anything about it.
The inside is huge and clean, I hope they get more business is what I’m a little concerned about.
I would definitely return.

So glad to finally have a decent salad place in the area! I had the Greek and it was exceptionally good– the sausage and the homemade dressing were great. Portions are pretty big, and they didn’t skimp on the meat, which is what usually happens at salad joints in Dallas.
The décor was pretty cool– really colorful, bright space.
Definitely coming back for the Tex-​mex with steak– that sear looked awesome but I’d already ordered.
I had a friend work with them to cater a business lunch and heard they were really great to work with as well.
