Showed up here on a Sunday night and they were pretty much out of everything, even the sides. Pretty disappointing.

Hey – there’s a Dickey’s over there. I’m not going to lie and say it’s stellar. I mean, it’s good and all. But how convenient is that? I like BBQ, it’s like pizza and sex. At the end of the day, it’s still BBQ and that’s just fine with me. Sides are good, beef is good, sausage is not so good. Just get the beef and some sides.

Not bad for a Chain restaurant. Not always my first choice, in DFW, for Barbecue but I still crave it at times. The food quality is pretty consistent through out most, not all, their locations. The FAST and FRIENDLY service is why usually stop by this location in central Dallas. I’ve been here several times and have never been let down. Great Daily specials!

I had never tried this particular dickeys before. I have had many in the area. This one was disappointing. The smallest portions. All fat. At least they were nice. The food was pretty poor however.

We love this BBQ. The turkey is moist and fried okra! Delicious! Free ice cream too. Very filling food so come hungry!

I’ve been to several Dickey’s around DFW and I’ve always been pretty pleased with the food, that is until I came to this location. I had the sliced brisket plate and Mac and cheese and baked potato casserole as my sides. Dickey’s normally lets you serve your own sides, but not at this location. All the Dickeys I’ve been to has a condiment bar with cheese, chives, bacon bits, sour cream, butter, etc. but not at this location. I had to ask for butter for my bread and they looked at my like I had 2 heads. I asked for sour cream for the baked potato casserole and was told it’s an extra charge. Okay, what is going on?! Nothing at all like the other locations I’ve been to. The man at the counter, Joseph rang up our order all wrong and we had to resolve it. Ugh, so finally we get to sit and eat… and our food is cold!!! What a disappointment this location is.

Not the best brisket in DFW but there weekly specials are awesome you can’t beat brisket under 10 bucks. There spicy BBQ sauce is off the chain as well as the Mac n cheese. Always pick the onion strings they hook it up. My favorite is the loaded bake potato. And you can’t beat free ice cream.

The BBQ is up to Dickey’s standards, however, the presentation of the side dishes is not the way it is presented at most Dickey’s. This is a good place to pick up meat and take it home. I do like the brisket, pulled pork, and the sausage. Lake Highlands give it a try. Next to the new Penny’s building at Skillman and NW Hwy.

I really like this Dickey’s. Looks much nicer inside than most of the other Dickey’s with the wood paneling décor. Surprisingly really spacious. Super convenient because it’s next to Wal Mart Food was great. Had the brisket, turkey, and sausage. All were great, as good as the top level of Dickey’s out there. Sides seem to be the same as all the other restaurants but I always love Dickey’s mac and cheese, I could eat it every day. Was surprised about the sub par review of this place. I used to go to the Dickey’s near the Arboretum but now that place has turned into a dump, everything tastes terrible and the ice cream machine doesn’t work anymore. I come to this Dickey’s near Wal Mart now.

What a shame. Visted this location for the first time with my Great Aunt. She is in her 80 and is diabetic so when we eat out she usually has tea and sweet and low. We had trouble finding the sweet & low and inquired to which we were told they had no artificial sweeteners and that they don’t provide that for their customers. Then the food came which was way below the standard set by other Dickey’s stores. To say the least we were both disappointed and will not visit this location again. Even the free ice cream we got on the way out was so runny that it couldn’t really qualify as ice cream. More like semi cool flavored cream. What a blemish this location is on the Dickey’s brand.
