Ok, so this review has been long overdue and I’ve always meant to write it, but never got around to it until now. I used to be a fan of Dee Lincoln’s, but I haven’t gone back since an incident. I was having dinner here with my father one evening and someone, who I think was the manager(he looked part Latin or middle eastern — definitely some ethnic blood), approached me and started hitting one me while my father had gone to the restroom. He asked if I wanted to take some shots with him and then asked if I was dating the older man I was with. I literally gave him the dirtiest look in the world and said that was my father and thankfully he got the hint to go away. This incident made me so uncomfortable though that I made my father finish his meal quickly so we could run out of there. My father kept asking me if something was wrong, but it didn’t want to tell him what happened. The whole situation was just beyond awkward, classless, sleazy, and uncomfortable. As a result, I have not gone back to eat here. If I’m going to go somewhere for dinner, I don’t want to be bothered or become uncomfortable because the staff. Had this not happened, I probably would have rated Dee Lincoln’s a 4 or 5 because I love the food. The burgers, truffle-Parmesan fries, drinks, and milkshakes are all delicious.

Incredible brussel sprouts, fantastic cocktails, good food, okay ambiance, poor service. Wasn’t too impressed but would still go back. Really enjoyed the meatballs, but the chorizo corn, which I heard so much about, takes like stadium nachos.

Amazing food and staff.. .the host is also like a concierge of good service. He checked on us a few times and was actually better than the waitress we had. Great cocktail menu and the Texas burger mmmmmmmmmmmm! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is bc the waitress seemed a little annoyed w/the host helping and decided she wouldn’t check in on us even though she was the one getting the tip.. .not to take away from the awesome food and drinks tho! Open late w/great food! Try it ASAP!!!

First trip to Dallas and husband was in the mood for a burger. Tucked out of the way we happily stumbled upon Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, which was good but after tasting the Land & Sea burger… i was a little jealous… OK… A lot jealous of the hubs’ smarter choice! Dee-lish!!! Let’s just say the most tender of burgers… seriously«melt-in-your-mouth»! A must stop! Service was attentive but not overly in your face! Bravo!!! Dee Lincoln!

My husband and I had reservations for Dee Lincoln’s on Valentine’s Day this year. It was at 100% capacity the whole night, and right off the bat, our appetizer was taking quite a long time to come out. Our waitress notified the manager immediately(though we hadn’t complained) and he quickly remedied the situation by getting us free drinks the rest of the night, as well as personally insuring that we loved every course that came out. The food was spectacular! We had onion rings as a starter, which were some of the best I had ever had. I had the shrimp entrée, which was fantastic. The seafood was fresh and the portion was generous. My husband had the steak, and he is definitely a steak snob. He LOVED it, and said it was one of the most flavorful and tender steaks he had ever had. I also tried the Chocolate Margarita to drink, and it was unique and delicious. I definitely recommend this place to anyone for a great unique atmosphere, and amazing food! We’ll certainly be back soon.

I’m very good at planning lunches with my coworkers at places that are closed for lunch. On one such day, as British Brewing Company gave us the cold shoulder, doors locked, and making me look like a fool for my second failed attempt that month… Dee Lincoln’s swooped in from across the street as the perfect rebound. There was no crowd to battle, so we had our pick of plenty of indoor or outdoor seating. The space manages to feel open, bright and airy despite the rustic-urban(is that a thing?) themed furniture and décor… that is to say, for a structure of heavy wood and metal, it manages to not feel heavy and dark. Service was wonderful — the staff were perfect gentlemen and our meal was perfectly timed. This is something I always take note of on a weekday lunch. People want to have a relaxing lunch and never feel like they are in a time crunch. Now, let’s get down to business… the burger. Between the three of us, a grilled chicken sandwich with house made potato chips hit the table, a Southwest themed burger, cooked medium well served with onion strings on top was served, and I had the classic Angus cheeseburger, cooked to a perfect medium on a brioche bun with cheddar cheese. The burger was perfectly cooked, the beef is fresh and flavorful and juicy. It’s cleanly cooked and perfectly seasoned, nothing fussy about it. And for a classic cheeseburger, they have the basic veggies down perfectly, with crisp Bibb lettuce, red onion and lovely ripe tomato. I asked for chipotle mayo as an extra, which was a great choice. You choose your side and I definitely think springing the extra few bucks for the perfectly cooked, crisp and delicious truffle fries is worth it. Dee Lincoln’s is on my lunch shortlist now for sure!

I visited this location on Sat, Jan 24. The service was amazing. We had a huge group of about 50 and the Manager and Staff were so accommodating to our needs. They were so professional and very friendly. I had the burger and it was tasty and cooked just right. The wine was also great. I will definitely be going back. Great, Great service.

The staff was really gracious from the moment I walked into the restaurant. I ordered brussel sprouts and a salmon dish, both of which were pretty good. Not my kind of place, but I’d recommend it and would go back.

Unlike many resturants in Dallas the staff here are super friendly… probably because they were all drunk when I came and ate here on a late Friday night. But that’s ok because I was drunk walking in here too. I had a very good mojito but it was so small! For my main course I had the scallops and they were the best scallops I’ve had in my life. The scallops came with asparagus which was really good as well. I shared the kale salad(which our waiter said was popular) with my date and it was… alright. I’d definitely come back just for those scallops.

TONY! What a gorgeous man with good taste! Patio chairs are comfy… but…the sprinklers thanks to the city of Dallas allowed for a wet T Shirt Contest. Okay so that led to compliments and drinks LOL. Great ambiance. Valet is under the the overhang of the parking garage now also. Chill place, great music.

Came here for a large group event(35 – 40 people) in the back room, and from the moment we arrived everything was fantastic. I don’t know about a regular night out, but for an event, they did a fantastic job. We were greeted warmly on arrival and offered drinks– great drinks. Classic cocktails, wine, and sodas, of course, but the bartender was completely willing to recreate a few more creative drinks that some of our party dug up. I love that they were so accommodating. Once we sat down to eat, everything moved very smoothly, and the street tacos were finger-lickin’ good. I knew I needed to save room, but I failed miserably and was stuffed by the time the bread pudding, chocolate cake and blueberry cheesecake made it to our table. I would highly recommend any of those desserts! The only subpar portion of the night was a pretty reasonable delay between members of our party getting their main courses(but I have to give them major credit that everyone’s steaks came out cooked perfectly)

Have you ever had a dining experience where you could not get out of the restaurant? I mean, the card is ONTHETABLE, and people keep walking NOT giving you your check. Even the person who appeared to be the manager eyeballed our table and kept on stepping. And as far as ambiance goes, there is none! It’s not a bad looking place but the ambient noise level is so bad you literally have to yell across a four top to be heard. And trust me, last Friday night there were plenty of folks willing to yell. I couldn’t wait to leave. The food is good. Solid burger. Mine was topped with shrimp in papperjack fondue. It was pretty good, but not good enough to make up for the atmosphere and service. I have no problem paying the right price for great food – just not when I’m so uncomfortable I cannot enjoy it. And there are too many high-end burger bars around for this one to make it too long. Dee, you are in the death spot – nothing makes it there too long.

Three stars for the food. The bartenders are normally spot on but this night was an exception. If the owners expect clients to pay the prices for drinks then we should expect the bartenders to be able to make the drinks on the specialty menu. This was not the case tonight. I am a long time customer of the uptown scene and understand everybody has bad days but in their business they can’t afford one bad night. That venue has been too many different establishments. They need more quality staff that are people oriented. It’s uptown and Dallas people like being stroked and don’t want to think about a bad specialty drinks. The staff needs atire that fits them as well.

DLSBB has a great outdoor patio seating. We went for dinner and brought our four-legged friend with us. I am glad this place is a dog friendly place. Overall, I had a great experience with their food and services. I ordered Prime Rib Eye for my entrée along with Crispy Brussels Sprouts for the side dish. The steak was mouth watering good and cooked exactly the way I wanted. The Brussels Sprouts were a tad too oily for my taste, however, they were crispy enough not to mind. The drink I had, «It’s Tito’s Thyme,» is made with vodka originated in Texas. It was perfect for a spring/summer drink. It tasted like a spiked lemonade, not too sweet and not too sour. This is a great option when it comes to choosing a relaxed atmosphere or if you in the mood for a more romantic date night. I highly recommend Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar, and will definitely try their burger next time!

Food: 4 stars Service: 2 stars The burgers were fantastic – nice and juicy and with cool gourmet twists: the benedict burger with bacon jam and a fried egg and the sweet potato fries were absolutely delicious! But…I usually like my burger with a side of service, and that wasn’t on the menu at Dee Lincoln. It took an hour from the moment we walked in the door from when we received our food. We had to flag down the waiter to order and again to get the check. And then the brussel sprouts came out 5 minutes after the rest of our food arrived. Our quick business lunch turned into one hour and 45 minutes. Too bad – the food is great.

I came here on NYE with a very large group of people, and luckily they were able to accommodate our reservation of 30 guests. We had two tables and multiple waiters/waitresses taking care of us. At the time, this restaurant had just opened, so I could tell they were a little new and shaky(especially with it being a busy, obnoxious holiday). The bartenders were efficient and great at their craft. The waiters were polite and helpful. The food took a veeeery long time to come out, but granted the number of people we were dealing with and the holiday craziness, that was to be expected. They did cook our steak well done when we asked for medium rare, but that is probably the only complaint I had of the night. I’m going to give this spot another try or two before forming a legit opinion, but for now, I’d say this restaurant is worth a shot. It’s a little pricey for the«burger» marketing space, but it’s a good atmosphere with good people. Unlike the previous failed restaurants in this block of real estate, let’s hope Dee Lincoln’s will actually stick!

A Bravo reality TV star with her date seated at the table to my left… A large gathering of fashionable, Neiman Marcus clad, 40-something y/o women with perfectly coiffed blond manes and perky, augmented breasts busy celebrating what looked to be a bachelorette party(likely her 3rd of 4th) seated at a large table to my right… And me, sitting at my table, smack-dab in the middle of the restaurant with 4 other of my fabulous, well-kempt, polished gay friends(if I do say so myself). We were on display, y’all. At some point in the night, occupants at all of these said tables were carving into and devouring filets of succulent beef. I smiled, took a sip of my hand-crafted cocktail made of ruby red grapefruit infused vodka and jalapeño, and thought to myself, «glitz, gays, glamour, and beef! It doesn’t get much more(uptown)DALLAS than this.» Some stereotypes are true. *shrug* On to the food! To get things started off(besides the yummy bread and butter at our table), I ordered the wedge salad. It was a little different from most wedges I’ve had, but greatness none-the-less. Instead of a heavy blue cheese dressing, it had a warm bacon-y vinaigrette dressing with blue cheese crumbles and bacon pieces liberally spread on top. But, the bacon does not stop there, my friend. Oooh no it doesn’t. There were three large, crispy circles of bacon on top of the lettuce wedges. Bacon in the shape of circles! Magical. Three people at my table ordered filets and two of us(myself included) ordered salmon. From what I heard, the steaks were cooked perfect and looked mouthwatering. My salmon was delicious. Meats are served a la carte. We ordered two sides of whipped potatoes and a side of brussel sprouts and passed them around. Both delicious! For dessert, we had birthday cake. Ya see, we were celebrating my buddie’s big day. Our server, with some help from the host(i.e. manager?), got it all ready with candles in the back and brought it out and we sang(the staff didn’t). Then they prepared us each a slice with ice cream. Perfect ending to a lovely meal. So why 4 stars instead of 5? Welllllll, service was super friendly and knowledgeable– from the host, to the waitress, to the guy cracking pepper on my salmon– but we waited a long time for our drinks and a long time for each course of our meal. But hey, 4 stars is still great, and we’ll be back!

Upen entering the restaurant there was just a friendly casual feel. We started our evening at the Bar where we were greeted by Tony and introduced to the Slow Burn, a blend of Deep Eddy Vodka and Jalapeño. I place this combination right next to my other favorite drink offered by Komali. The perfect blend of sweet and spicy. As we moved to the dining area, we decided to start with the eggplant and fried green tomatoes which were an nice introduction to our meal. Our next courses included the Wedge(beautifully plated and balanced between all 3 primary ingredients… tomato, iceberg, and pancetta) and kale salads with both pleasing the palettes. Lastly we had the ribeye and american classic burger. The burger was cooked to perfection along with the steak. Both were simply seasoned with sale and pepper. We complimented the proteins with Kennebec fries and crispy Brussels sprouts. The fries were some of the best i’ve had, crispy and salty while the brussels were perfectly charred and seasoned. Thank you Tony for another great experience.

A group of us went to experience the new opening of the Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar last night. As soon as we walked in, we saw Dee Lincoln, so I felt a sudden warm welcome just by knowing that the owner was there to make sure her new venture was taking off in the right direction. Once seated, our waiter came over, providing us with large, woodened menus. Here’s my experience… *The Service* Our waiter was not attentive at all, and with a group of 6 people, we definitely needed more than a quick run by every 20 minutes. We had to keep asking other workers to get our waiter to come by. 2.5 hours later, we were finally out of the door from having dinner on a not so busy Tuesday night. *The Atmosphere* The inside had a cool and trendy feel to it. The restaurant was half full, which I think is great for a Tuesday night, not to mention only being open for 5 days. *The Food* After noticing that they didn’t offer many options for wine by the glass, I decided to focus my attention strictly on the food. We decided to order some appetizers for sharing: Sashimi Tuna Stack This was my favorite appetizer that we ordered. I am not a fan of wasabi; however, this wasabi avocado combination was light and nice to the taste. All of the flavors from the sour cream, honey, and hint of goat cheese made this a winner starter. Hushpuppy Shrimp I expected shrimp to come out wrapped in cornmeal of some kind, but instead, we received 6 beautifully plated shrimp that were lightly fried with a spicy creole sauce. I would recommend trying it. Cast Iron Tuna I thought the tuna was ok. Had it not been for the biscuit that accompanied the tuna, I wouldn’t have been so thrilled about this. I wouldn’t order it again to say the least. Steakhouse Street Tacos The beef tenderloin was packed with flavor and the chili salsa elevated these tacos to greatness. For my entrée, I decided on the Turkey Burger. Unfortunately, the meat was extremely dry and there wasn’t enough pesto sauce on the boring bun to help the burger out. I highly recommend that the chef change buns immediately, make the meat juicier, and add more pesto sauce to the bun. With these changes, this burger can have the potential of being great.(One of my other friend’s ordered this burger as well, and only ate half of it due to the lack of flavor). The Cowboy I had a bit of this burger and I have nothing good to say about it. It was very dry and needs a kick in order to make it in Texas… where burgers are loved so much. For sides, we ordered: Candied Sweet Potatoes These sweet potatoes were the highlight of my night. It was almost like I was eating dessert, but I didn’t have to feel the guilt since it wasn’t called dessert. I never thought I would have a love for«pecan bacon syrup» until now. Amazing! Crispy Brussel Sprouts The brussel sprouts were overcooked. It wasn’t anything to rave about. For dessert, we all ordered the Coca Cola Chocolate cake. It looked awesome, but it didn’t taste awesome. The cake was very dry and wasn’t worth the carbs. Overall, the food was ok. I expect things to get better after they work out a few of their kinks. I may revisit this place in a few months.
