The phở here is the best in the city! Little small, go earlier in the day so you don’t get crowded. Drinks are good, not the best but they are good. Must try the DaLat rolls! Recommend getting the Vietnamese iced coffee for a big caffeine kick. Never tried the vodka but the virgin ones kept going thru long overnight shifts.

Been here twice and got phở Condiments are not fresh and everything else about the food was mediocre. Service was good. On the plus side there is a large TV with sports

The beef phở is what I’ve had most times I’ve come here and it’s usually pretty good. The broth is definitely real and the condiment bar means you can customize your phở easily. The place has a kind of late night club/stoner vibe. The menu is full of items that sound like someone got really high and was like…“you know what would be good? DORITOCEVICHE”. But it is kind of endearing and they are very laid back. Want an extra meatball for your soup? Sure! Karaōke can be very loud. If you are not intoxicated it might be a bit much at times. All in all not a bad place to have some drinks/eat before or after a night out. And their late night hours are nice.

I stopped here after work with coworkers and I received a really bad greeting form the waitress And not to mention the food wasn’t great. I ordered Thai noddles and I was served flat fried noddles? Then the waitress argued that what she served me was the actual Vietnamese plate? Omg! Are you kidding me?

It’s mediocre whatever«this» is considered — Vietnamese fusion? Vietnamese food with an American twist? The beef phở is the popular item and no, it’s not great. If you«make it dirty», you will be consuming disappointing phở with overcooked beef. It’s dry. We ordered the Dalat rolls upon recommendation and no again. It’s spring rolls with an egg roll in it, but the egg roll wasn’t great. Da Lat gets points for its weak attempt at Vietnamese fusion and cheerful and accommodating service. Also, why in tarnation is Dorito-viche a dish or anything with spam???

This place is great. Open late. The water is really good. & the soup spoons have a hook on it so it’ll never become submerged in your phở! Would reccomend, 10⁄10

Stopped in for a quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised. They have a unique fusion Vietnamese menu with some modern twists. There was iced Vietnamese coffee with vodka and other similarly intriguing drinks that I will be sure to come back and try sometime. There were other fun options like meatball shots for the more adventurous. We ordered the sticky rice with sausage as an appetizer and then the pork lettuce wraps /salad and the beef phở for entrees. I probably wouldn’t order the sausage appetizer again since the sausage to rice ratio was low and I didn’t want to fill myself up on just rice. Phở and pork salad were awesome. Great flavoring on the pork. Phở broth was light and not laden with fish sauce and salt. Prices are good, food is interesting and tasty(good for foodies), and atmosphere is casual. I think it would be fun to come back for a pregame /boozy dinner before a night out. We will be back.

This place is freaking delicious. We have had their deconstructed chicken phở a ton of times. Every time it hits the spot. The chicken spring rolls are great as well. All of the phở is on point, and usually so are their specials. Relaxing establishment and I have always had great service. YUM!

Your food is amazing. But I wish you had a delivery service that wasn’t Door Dash. My orders aren’t complicated, but they are wrong every single time. Tonight I asked for no green onion in the broth, but yes to all of the sides.(I have to always ask for the sides bc apparently no green onion in broth means no limes and no pickled onions) but instead of getting all the sides… I got no sides. He ordered no sides… Who does that? It’s frustrating. And not complicated. So, I’m eating lukewarm beef phở with only a poached egg. I, luckily, ordered the doritoviche so I took my jalapeños from there and threw them into my phở. Please, please have other options for delivery… Besides Door Dash.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out for so long and I finally had a chance. We went at 2 pm on a Sunday, which we felt would be a good time with adequate staffing. Oh how wrong we were. Interior — decent instrumental music playing, sticky table, followed by another sticky table. Obviously unswept floors. Exterior — few, very narrow parking spots, lots of potholes in the parking lot, decent sized patio though. We went in the day time, but driving past it at night has shown me burnt out parking lot lights, making the area sketchier than it already is. Service — once we sat down, we were brought water and menus by the busboy. The bartender/waitress came over a few minutes later and took our order. I tried to order a burger, but was told they were«out of burgers», so chose the chili on the fly. Sodas came out about 5 minutes later. 10 minutes after our drinks arrive, the food comes out. The waitress didn’t refill our drinks and didn’t come by to see how the food was. The only time I saw her was when the check was brought. Food — Our table ordered the Da Lat rolls, pork vermicelli bowl and the Vietnamese chili. The Da Lat rolls, while tasty, were hastily assembled with soggy rice paper and fell apart in our hands before we even took a bite. The vermicelli bowl was fairly tasty, albeit cold. The chili was a huge disappointment. Very overcooked/dry/chewy meatballs inside of obviously canned tomato sauce, all served over rice left me regretting my order almost immediately. For $ 9-$ 12 per plate(not including sodas), Da Lat was an expensive lesson in trusting your gut reaction to the sanitation and vibe of a place. Save your time(and money!) and go to Bistro B or somewhere more authentic.

I tired this Vietnamese restaurant after reading about it in the Dallas Morning News. I was little nervous since my wife is Vietnamese and she likes more traditional places in Grand Prarie like PTT, Than Than, and Phở Pasteur. I took her here as a surprise and let her know that it was Vietnamese Fusion. She was hesitant when we arrived. She slowly warmed up and ended up really liking the place by the end of the meal. We really liked the Pork Shooters. They had a flare of coconut curry and seemed to have more of a Thai Inspiration. The Spring Rolls were the only thing average or below average when compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. The meat was grilled and this was a plus compared to processed meat that has been sitting for a while. The Canh Ca Chua that my wife ordered was very tasty. She gave it high marks for Phở. The Khan Sandwich(Their version of Banh Mi), the Chicken Salad, and The Chicken Fried Rice were all excellent. My wife even commented that the Fried Rice tasted fresh and as tasty like her mother’s. I have never heard her say this before. Overall, this place was excellent. It seems like it caters to a late night crowd even though we dined early. It is definitely worth visiting again. You just have to put up with some of the road construction outside.

I’m a little surprised by how much I didn’t like the place, considering that I had it bookmarked for a while and there are some glowing reviews of this place. But then I realized why, when I was searching for a phở place to eat at 10 pm on a weekday in Dallas, this place was the only one that showed up in my search. It was either this or going to Garland. And coming in, it immediately reminded me of Zenna’s in Plano, with the atmosphere being very much a bit dingy, and supposedly that’s stylish. And it is — for the late-night club-going crowd. And with that, comes a bit of sloppiness, that is evidenced in décor, sanitation, and cuisine. Décor — explained this already. Sanitation — try to get the soap from the uncovered soap canister, and the urinal stall divider that it is bolted to will wildly shake — making it quite uncomfortable to whoever has to go behind it. Pretty ghetto. Cuisine — there’s a condiment station for phở — you pick up the mint, cilantro, sprouts, etc. Look into the canisters, and you can see 1) the sprouts are not fresh, with wilted ends, 2) lime wedges are drowned in a puddle of lime juice, and 3) they didn’t have all of the usual Vietnamese trappings of what could go into the phở. And my chicken phở was very bland — the broth didn’t have much flavor, the chicken were thick fajita chicken breast strips that didn’t have much flavor, and it was mixed in with a poor choice of noodles, as they came thin and mushy. I wasn’t able to really eat this dish as it was not very enjoyable — even with the addition of sauces on the table to enhance the broth. It’s definitely not worth the $ 9, no matter what size bowl they give. Perhaps the beef phở is much better, but at this point, I don’t have much faith in this place. And when the karaōke night started, which I thought was nice that they had, the music became unbearably loud. And someone inside the restaurant, much to my surprise, lit a cigarette. This is a far cry from Tan Tan, Sinh Sinh, and Mai’s in Houston, as far as late night Vietnamese goes. The menu in this place is small and limited anyways, with a picture menu like Zenna. The vibe and menu makes me wonder if they’re owned by the same people. Maybe it’s just a coincidence. With everything being an afterthought in this restaurant, this restaurant is simply something that deserves to be that — an afterthought. So just take my advice… continue on to Garland.

The wife and I were on the hunt for some Phở last Sunday and we decided to give this place a try. I will say that it’s a little trendy, and doesn’t feel overly traditional. The one thing that I did enjoy was that they had all of the traditional Phở condiments at a small self serve bar, so I was able to get a little carried away with the basil! The Phở was tasty and you could tell that they put some work into their broth. It was beefy and had quite a buttery smooth taste to it. Over all though, I felt everything was kind of average. Definitely not the worst that I’ve had, but definitely not the best

This place is amazing. A hidden gem! The aroma alone is therapeutic, and then you taste the food. The food is spiced so well. Impeccable! On top of the wonderful food, the staff is very professional and polite. I was pleasantly surprised by the dining experience. Make sure you try it!

Came here because I was just horribly craving phở. And my horrible craving was just as bad as the food. Ordered the typical and regular phở. Tasted nothing like authentic phở. It was Americanized(no hate!) and lacked the true taste of what phở is supposed to be. Service was decent. Definitely won’t be coming back here.

I give Dalat 5 stars for the phở! Dalat has by far the best broth in Dallas proper. I can taste the savory flavors in every bite! I can definitely tell they put a lot of time and effort into making their broth in true Vietnamese style! Slow cooked broth with rich, delicious flavors. I can’t begin to guess how or what they use for their broth, but I know I can’t find phở broth as good as theirs in Dallas. True phở done right is not easy to come by. I find myself craving the salty savory flavors. Oh and in my opinion, go for beef phở! It’s by far the best phở here! Secondly, try the Dalat rolls(a pork egg roll inside a spring roll)– hello food goodness! I have never had any problems with service here. Everyone is friendly and attentive to patrons in the restaurant. Making sure you are happy and full by the time you leave. Beers and drinks will run you about $ 7, and they do have craft beers on draft and a full bar. Dalat has a great atmosphere and even has a large screen to show football, hockey, etc.

I consider myself to be a connoisseur of Phở. I’ve been eating Phở for years and I’m a pretty tough critic since I know what I like. A friend of mine has been telling me about this place for quite sometime, but I didn’t want to try since I don’t like straying from what I consider to be the best. That being said, the Unilocal way to is try new things, even new Phở, so there I was. Walking into this place on Sunday, it wasn’t super busy, so I was discouraged. The place was clean and the staff was friendly enough. They had the Greenbay Game on, that was a plus since it’s WILDCARDSUNDAY. Before we even had a chance to order, my friends son spilled a big glass of water on the table. He’s 5, so we all know it happens. The staff was friendly and didn’t seem annoyed. I chuckled and was glad it wasn’t me. 5 minutes later, my 6 year old spills a glass of water on the table. I was so embarrassed since they staff had to come back again just to wipe our table down, but they were super friendly and make a couple jokes to make us comfortable. Bravo, A+ on the service. I get my menu and the selection looks pretty broad with a few options I’ve not seen before. We order our typical bowls of soup, then I ordered a meatball shot appetizer along with spring rolls AND spring rolls with a fried spring roll in it. Everything was super yummy even before the soup came, so I’m thinking this can’t keep going good. I mean like the meatball shot was super yummy; it was in a shot glass and had a Thai like flavor to it. I only had two of the four the order came with, but I would have gladly wrestled anyone at my table for the last one if it was still on the tray. It was THATGOOD! The soup comes and I will just say it… THISISTHEBESTPHO I HAVEEVERHAD! I don’t know what it is or why it tastes so good, but this Phở had me happier than a gopher in soft dirt!!! This soup was so good I couldn’t even participate in a conversation, I was actually emotional. LIKEWOW. This place will be a bit of a drive for me since I live in Allen, but I’m like the Terminator, «I’ll be back». Incredible Phở at a great price? What else could you ask for? Bravo DaLat!!!

The best Phó in Dallas. Try the Dalat roll; the mix of crunchy and veggies is divine. The service is great. The spam moussabi(spelling?) is tasty and fun. Thank you for the good food every time I visit.

Finally a phở place that doesn’t completely disappoint. Although it’s still on the pricier side(about 9 bucks for a bowl and 5 bucks for spring rolls), the quality of phở and service make up for it. DaLat is designed as a strange mix of some kind of bar with a viet restaurant. To this day, I am still trying to understand the layout of the place, but there is a bar area by the door where I assume you can get drinks. I sat on the other side, aka the restaurant. After sitting down, we were quickly greeted by a nice server, who explained to us what«making it DIRRRRTY» meant(stated on the menu as an option for your phở). Apparently, it just means cooking the beef for a while long before dipping it into your phở. Personally, for 1.5 dollars, I don’t think it’s really worth it. I ordered the traditional bowl of Phở and spring rolls. The spring rolls came quickly, and to my surprise… NOPEANUTSAUCE! Whaaaa.?! This was the first phở place that has served spring rolls without it… I was in shock and withdraw, but luckily the sweet and sour sauce alleviated some of the pain. The spring rolls were pretty well done, and of good enough quality and size. The sauce itself wasn’t bad either, and honestly, served as a good palate cleanser. My bowl of phở arrived promptly after the consumption of my first spring roll. For some reason, DaLat does not give you an option to choose sizes, which is strange. So you are stuck with the standard size of phở for 9 bucks… it’s probably considered a large at most places so you aren’t jipped too hard. The phở isn’t anything too special, but it wasn’t bad either! Considering my running record of being disappointed by phở places in Dallas, I would say this particular bowl I had was actually very enjoyable. The only negs I can think of are the slightly low amount of meat, the lack of size options, and the somewhat high price(which I should just get used to). In all, DaLat was a good experience. I’m glad there is at least one phở place in Dallas I can go to if I craved phở and not leave with a feeling of utter defeat after eating a bowl of crap. I would recommend phở lovers in Dallas to give DaLat a shot. Next time, I will try out the bar area and see how that side of DaLat feels :)

I was hesitant for sometime to give this place a shot even after all the great reviews I read on Unilocal — just wary about the modern play on authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Oh have I been missing out. I stopped by for lunch today and met up with a friend. We ordered the Spring Rolls, Bun Ca Chua, and Vermicelli Bowl. The Bun Ca Chua was kicking. I literally ate the whole thing, soup and all. Asians, i.e., female Asians normally do not do this and will often be amazed when our non-Asian counterparts do this whole clean-up-your-bowl-filled-with soup act. It was the most perfect bowl of Vietnamese soup I’ve had in a real long time. It’s been so long, I can’t remember the last time I had a perfect bowl. My friend had the Pork Vermicelli Bowl and she too cleaned her bowl(no soup in hers). It looked super yummy. I am ordering this on my next go round. What was really awesome about this restaurant is that they have a little condiments bar consisting of fresh basil; bean sprouts; sliced, green jalapeño peppers; lime wedges; pickled onions; and cilantro. This is important because it eliminates you trying to flag down your server for the always needed extras as well as extra napkins, forks, spoons, etc. You get the picture. All those items are arranged neatly and in abundance to fill your every need. Oh and there are some really cool adult beverages that I intend to try when I return; e.g., Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Vodka and some other cool drinks that I can’t recall right now. We both agreed in between mouthfuls of food that we were definitely coming back to try the other’s entrée and then some. Side note: my only tiny complaint is that their spring rolls served as is was somewhat lacking. Too much green leaf lettuce, a few slivers of pickled carrots and tofu(your choice of protein). I thought the tofu tasted pretty greasy, probably left in the fryer for too long. I love lettuce. In fact, I eat lettuce daily. However, the lettuce here overwhelmed the roll. Then we discovered the delightful bar … after we finished the rolls. We could’ve made that roll tasty by adding basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, and maybe some pickled onions — just a thought.

Came here for lunch: nice small focused menu and very loud metal music. The meatball shooters were tasty. Phở: average. Vietnamese Chili: good, not sure what makes it Vietnamese though. Service: friendly but slow for lunch. It’s ok overall.

Jamie and I had a lovely impromptu dinner here tonight, sharing a papaya salad and a bowl of beef phở. The salad was crisp, fresh, and well seasoned with a nice spicy vinegar and some thin sliced jerky. The phở was fresh but bland, requiring a bunch of sriracha and jalapenos– the soup would be well served by getting some more interesting cuts of beef in there, like some tendon, fatty brisket, etc. Service was cheerful and accommodating, and the vibe of the place was modern and fresh, with nice reggae themed music played at just the right volume. We’ll be back soon to explore the menu some more.

My opinion on Vietnamese food might be a little bias since I’m not a huge fan(or because I haven’t had the good kind??) but I was crazy about this place. I thought maybe the fact that it was Americanized would help but nope, not at all. I’m giving them 2 stars on the fact that I really liked their low carb spring rolls! The only thing I could probably go back for. They also have easy low carb options if you’re being healthy. Also, the service was quick. We had low carb phở and the vietmex tacos. As usual, phở you have to build yourself, but I couldn’t get it to taste scrumptious and it wasn’t memorable. Vietmex tacos were also not so memorable. Love that they do the low carb option but probably wouldn’t get either item again if I went back!

Went here for dinner with the girls and I really liked it! Friendly waitress, no wait for a table and full bar. I love that the menu has pictures next to everything too! The spring rolls were really good and the peanut dipping sauce was delicious. I’d say the other downside was that there was very little chicken in the rolls. The beef phở was filled with flavor and the condiment bar was a nice touch. The T&A Vietnamese burger was HUGE and very filling. It came with broth and spicy chips on the side. I really liked the flavor of this whole dish. The only downside was that the bread got a little soggy. Overall, great first experience here!
