Had to wait 3 hours until flight, but Cru was not a bad place to hang. Good music and Derrick was a good server. Tomato Basil was really good.

My expectations for an airport bar are low, and I’m used to being treated coldly by servers in NYC… but I was thoroughly impressed by the intense nastiness of the guy serving tables here. Refused to speak to me, just gestured for me to sit in the back, then wordlessly snatched the utensils off my table and didn’t show any signs of returning. I got up and left because, you know… basic self respect. Avoid this place.

This is one of my favorite place I like to stop by every time waiting for my flight, but today I experienced horrible service. I ordered soup took an hour to deliver. Ordered a glass of water never brought until I paid my bill. The server is very rude! Her name is Heather. If I am her boss, I will fire her in a second!

Had the steak and eggs for breakfast, others in my group had the English muffin and the omelette. We all agreed the fruit was the best part of the meal as the food was not prepared well and not of a particularly good quality. It was also worth noting that the airport is MUCH quieter than the inside of this establishment due to the blaring music. I never thought I’d see the day where I go into the concourse for quiet.

I had high hopes for this wine bar. Was disappointed right off the bat and it didn’t get better. First off, the server was terrible. I don’t think he had a friendly bone in his body. The caprese was terrible. Tomatoes were like styrofoam, no balsamic vinegar offered or available when I asked. He just walked away. I never got the water I asked for and in the end, I tried to order a sandwich at 7:37 pm and was told the kitchen closed. The wines were good.

This is one of my favorite parts of Dallas– Love. I was super early for my last flight out of this airport so I stopped off for a glass of vino, and a little lunch. Because anytime I eat lunch alone, with out someone screaming«Mama can I have.» is an excuse to relax with an adult beverage in a pretty glass! ESPECIALLY if I am traveling! :) This bartender(Jessica, I believe!) who took care of me was so personable, efficient and very eloquent in the world on wine. I chose the bubble flight, and enjoyed three deliciously different glasses of champagne and sparkling wine. A rosé, a brut and a cuvéé. I ordered a cobb salad, to accompany my flight and was mega-impressed with the quality because I was in an airport for god’s sake! The lettuce was way fresh, the chicken was perfectly grilled and I got a ton of blue cheese crumbles, which are my absolute favorite, and the tomatoes were the perfect texture… When a salad is done right, it is by far my favorite meal, and this one was pristine… and again. AIRPORTYA’LL! Cru! You are lovely in every way!

Poor service. Snooty waiter. Waiter never made eye contact. Place was not busy and it took time for him to greet us at the table. This wasn’t the service I expected at this place for the reviews I was reading. Hopefully, not all Cru’s are like this.

This is probably one of the nicer places you can imagine in an airport, although I must admit that all of Love Field is pretty spiffy. Cru is a cute little wine bar– way overpriced, but cute nonetheless. They are pretty good about getting you your drink and/or check pretty quickly, although I don’t think the food is always as prompt. If you have a bit more time though, the apps, sandwiches, and fondue all look amazing. The other patrons tend to be pretty friendly, willing to share a table and chat for a few, but it is also a good place to sit and read or work if you have a bit of extra time.

Great place to come while waiting on ur flight. The best Riesling. Derek is the best server. He makes fabulous recommendations. Everything he recommends is awesome. Today I’m having the grill cheese and tomato soup. Can’t wait.

Thank you Unilocal!Never would have found this place but glad I did. Good wine selection, great ambiance, good service and good food Had Malbec flight(generous pours for $ 14) and wine Spector highly rated wines. Also ordered Cobb salad and it was delicious. All fresh, warm chicken, and only $ 11. Great value!. I travel quite a bit and this is the second airport restaurant I would patronize even if it was in a city(vice airport).

Ordered the rose which was fabulous. I also ordered the tuna tartar which could be way better described as a tomato cucumber salad with 2 pieces of tuna. See pic attached. In all of what is left there is 1 piece of tuna. Huge letdown. Very shady since its $ 15! Really for tomato n cucumber! What a rip off! Just because I’m dining at the airport doesn’t mean I deserve sub par food or a blatant deception of the dish. I couldn’t even tell the server I was disappointed cause HENEVERCHECKEDONME. Service was poor at best. Very slow and the place was over ½ empty. I do not recommend.

Delayed by an hour(thanks, Southwest), so what is one to do at Love Field? Why not sip on some wine?! I stopped by Cru for outlets, wine, and a bite to eat. It was actually a very pleasant experience. I’ve only been to Vino Volo in airports, so I wasn’t sure how Cru was going to measure up. We served by Anthony, who was very knowledgeable with the menu. He gave us some great suggestions for wine flights, and some food. I love their extensive flight list, even the most knowledgeable person will end up trying something new here! I also ended up ordering the grilled cheese with tomato soup, which was savory deliciousness. They have a dedicated kitchen(no microwaves here), which I love. My dish even came with a side of grapes — how cute! Added bonus: there are outlets at the bar, and throughout the restaurant! Paired with 30 min of free WiFi, it’s a killer combo! Docking one star for airport prices(it was a $ 13 grilled cheese and soup!), but this is a great place to stop in Love Field.

Of the places at the airport, Cru is the nicest option. Cool vibe, great menu, excellent wine choices. I had the fig bruschetta, which was OK, but I wouldn’t order it again. The put one pound on figs on it. I like figs… But still. I also ordered the caprese panini, which was very good. The service was adequate. I’d come here again, but I’d try one of the pizza’s next time.

A little pricey but you pay for ambience. Bartender was SUPER nice and got all of our names and even remembered us. We got a few glasses of wine and split the goat cheese and fig bruschetta. It was really great and was a nice size to share. I saw a few pizzas but they looked kind of small so we passed them up. Otherwise, great service, atmosphere and menu choices!

Came in for a quick glass before our flight. Very nice wine and staff. Manager on duty was fantastic. We needed to mail some postcards but the airport has no mail service. Manager offered to mail them out for us. That’s fantastic customer service! Definitely will visit Cru again the next time I’m in town!

Nice stop in Dallas-Love Field. Service was excellent with Dee at the bar: I recommend asking for his recommendations. Potstickers were good — better than the crab cakes, but I ended up wishing I had the Pear/Gorgonzola pizza a regular next to me had. You might spend a lot, but it’s a wine bar in an airport, so that should be expected.

The One Where Sandy Will Eventually Try Everything on Their Menu. I have to say… kudos to Southwest for adding Cru to its terminal! I’ve stopped here on a few occasions now while traveling for work. It seems like a nice relaxing place for me to grab a bite and zone out before boarding to head back to Houston. And… it is! So far, I love this place! I’ve tried their Goat Cheese Beignet and it’s absolutely amazing! You get 4 pieces of these fried delicacies and it’s drizzled with honey. Nom… a must try if you’re not that hungry. I’ve had their grilled cheese and tomato soup — also good. I thought there should have been more cheese in the sandwich, but it was toasted(and buttered) just right and paired well(duh) with the soup. The last time I was there, I tried their Salsiccia pizza. This pizza was topped with goat cheese, mozzarella, roasted peppers, and italian sausages. NOM… NOM… NOM… First, it looked deceivingly small. I really thought I could have finished it in one setting. BUT… to my surprise, I was only able to consume half and packed the rest for the flight back. Again… AMAZINGPIZZA! It seriously hit the spot after traveling a lot for work. Service here is great… I haven’t had any issue. If you sit at the bar, the bartenders are really nice and will chat with you. Not sure what I’m trying next, but I will be back if I’m passing through Dallas Lovefield(which is most likely in a few weeks).

I love love love that they put Cru at the airport. Not just because I’m a wine-o but it gives me a place to hang out before going to my gate. I always get to airports early. Yes I’m that loser who overprepares. But hey it works in my favor! I come into Cru, get a glass of wine and plug in my devices at the bar while waiting for my flight! The bartenders are always incredibly friendly. They talk and keep you occupied or leave you alone if you prefer. Prices are decent considering it’s an airport. Everything of course will cost $ 1 – 3 more in an airport. Overall a great place to stop in if you’re early for a flight or have a layover!

Cru makes me feel so classy that I feel even classier as I’m writing this review. While on my way to initially consume some delicious BBQ at Dicky’s, my eyes came across Cru, and knew it was love at first sight. Everything about this wine bar screamed«come in and relax because that layover isn’t just going to wait on itself.» So like a wine-a-holic, I raced towards the entrance. I sat at the bar. The bartender was suave – a term I don’t usually describe bartenders. He made his job look remarkably easy and somehow managed to have everyone sitting at the bar to order the seared salmon salad. Even when I couldn’t decide what to order, I felt like the most special customer in the room when he pulled the chef from the kitchen to approach me personally and give me his recommendations. The other patrons are also friendly and chatty. If you’re not in the mood for that, stay away from the bar because they’ll all want to talk to you. My neighbor was a quality engineer for Coca Cola. You never know who you’ll meet! My seared salmon came with a delicious quinoa tabouli, bay of funds, baby lettuce sprinkled with herb sherry vinaigrette. The quinoa was jaw dropping. I didn’t think you could make a grainy item taste so good. Everything in this wine bar is expensive. Sadly, you’ll agree with its portions and price, and hope your next layover is in Dallas Love Field.

I’ve been meaning to try Cru for awhile and didn’t expect Dallas Love Airport to be the first time! For a restaurant at the airport, it has a great vibe and is the perfect place to kick back with a nice meal and a glass(or flight) of wine if you have several hours to kill. The wine list is very impressive by airport standards and my Cobb salad was light and delicious.

This has become my place to grab something to eat before a late flight out. They have a great selection of wines, and a pretty good selection of beer. The menu, while a bit limited, is all pretty good. I’ve had several things on their menu, but the flatbreads and the charcuterie board are my favorites… the charcuterie board has a foie gras mousse that is absolutely addictive. The servers at the bar are really good at recommending a good glass of wine. Prices are a little steep, but what do you expect? It’s an airport restaurant.

Headed to Love Field early in order to eat dinner before my flight — I have visited Cru in Austin quite a few times and was missing it. Chef’s cheese selection was excellent and the Old World Whites flight was lovely also. Derek was incredibly attentive — I would probably return just to have such amazing service again! Thanks for making my experience so enjoyable :)

Traveling can be stressful at times. Especially when the weather is bad and there are delays as happened to me recently out of Dallas Love Field. Enter Cru at Love Field. Nothing like a good Pinot(Noir) to settle the jitters paired with a light cheeses and fruit plate. Jitters be gone. Cru is a little pricey but wine lovers tend to overlook that. I’m so excited that Cru has made it to Love Field. If you are a travelling wine lover you will not be disappointed with the wine or the experience at Cru Love Field.

Only come here if you’re dying for a wine buzz, or you’re a sadist for mediocre service. There’s wine here. That they have a lot of. The food was mostly ‘miss’ on the hit and miss scale though. I hope this airport location isn’t representative of the original. The food wasn’t terrible but only one the gorgonzola and pear pizza was good, everything else was bland. The fondue was extremely bland. It tasted like watered down mozzarella rather than fontina or gorgonzola. Maybe there was too much gruyère but they need to use a sharper cheese. The accompaniments with the fondue were barely discernible. There were no haricot verts and the potatoes seemed like normal home fries, but the weirdest part was this fried starchy vegetable that we couldn’t figure out. It was flaky like yucca or something but so overfried and under seasoned we were confused. Avoid the fondue. We also had a caprese type sandwhich(can’t remember the name), which was a pesto and mozzarella type of thing. Also, it was bland. Pesto was hardly there. No detectable salt or pepper and the fries that came with it were a joke. They were just potato shavings fried into little dark brown sticks. They were near toothpick thinness, thinner than shoestring fries. The service was pretty low standard. Our waiter had a look of complacency, kind of like he just wanted to go home. Didn’t really speak much. There were flies buzzing all around us for some reason towards the end of the meal, and we were sitting near the kitchen so I was a tad worried about that. Bottome line: If you just want wine while you wait then I understand going to Cru. But if you want a satisfying meal to hold you over at an airport, just try something else.

Really happy to find a wine bar in airports… decided to try the food this time. I had the grilled cheese and tomato basil soup and finished it with chocolate lava cake. The sandwich was small but very good; bread was soft on the inside and toasted nicely and the cheese was an ooey gooey delicious melty middle. The soup was pretty good, the little pot it came in was perfect for dipping the sandwich. The cake was a little bland, I wouldn’t order that again. Other than being a little pricey, this place is a nice little splurge while you’re traveling.
