I went to the Cotton Bowl Trade Days last Saturday with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Even more excited about what it could grow to be. I’ve been to the Rose Bowl flea market and the State Fair Grounds flea market in Albuquerque and would love to see something like that in Dallas. The area set aside was small, about 40 vendors outside and another 40 or 50 in the air conditioned space. I was impressed with the antique, niche, and creative offerings. I felt the prices were fair and dealers ready to negotiate. Again, I would love to see something like this grow and add a much needed addition to the historic State Fair grounds that basically wither away most of the year. Looking forward to going next month and seeing the progress.
