This place needs a lesson or two in frying chicken. If you like your chicken ½ fried this would be your place. Always blonde in color. They need to rename this store Blonde Chick… Fried okra is soggy also.

Heard good things about Chicken Express. Had it not been for that, I probably wouldn’t try this place at all. I used the drive thru and got a 2 piece combo. I got mashed potatoes as my side and a roll instead of a biscuit. While ordering, the guy handling the drive thru speaker was very rude. I’m yelling into the dang speaker already and he was getting mad at me because he couldn’t understand me. Then when I pulled up to the window, just snatched my card from me and gave me my drink. Some other employee gave me my receipt, card and food. And off I go. Chicken was okay. Definitely fast food in terms of taste and quality. But I mean, it is what it is.

Newly opened. Very clean. Friendly staff. I’ve had chicken tenders, hot wings, mac n cheese, potatoes and gravy, cole slaw, FRIEDPICKLES(Tell them the regular 8 on an order is a little skimpy and they’ll make sure the devoted pickle lovers get taken care of). Gravy come with the tenders for dipping, but do yourself a huge favor and try their many dipping sauces: Buffalo, Ranch, Chipotle, and standard issue Honey Mustard. They have some great seasoning salt for the tenders, too. Amazing sweet tea. I mix sweet and unsweet for right balance.

Definitely an experience to be had. It’s a pretty good fast food restaurant with really nice quality chicken. If you are a fan of fried chicken like me(who HAS to have fried chicken once every 2 – 3 weeks…), you will find this place very familiar territory. I ordered the typical 4 Express Chicken Tenders. They come with a lot of gravy and the choice of biscuit or roll. Negs first: the biscuit is a joke. It is pretty sad looking and taste as good as it looks(which was at most a «meh»). The chicken tenders were smaller than I imagined… especially when you’ve been to places like Churches and Raising Canes(given the QUALITY of chicken at those 2 places may not be as good). Lastly, my drink(a cup of dr. pepper) was 70% ice… I felt like I got cheated out a drink after finishing my drink within 3 sips. Positives: the chicken was GREAT. For once, I did not feel like **** after eating fried chicken. You do not feel that sense of guilt and self loathing that you often get after consuming anything from Churches… which is great! The coleslaw was really delicious and the gravy dip goes very well with the chicken. My recommendation would be to 1) order NO ice on your drinks… my drink contained 70% ice… which would be great if I didn’t feel like I got cheated out a drink. 2) don’t get the biscuit… try the roll., and 3) get the chicken tenders if you aren’t too hungry but the meal itself was probably on the low side for anyone with a large appetite… so be prepared for that!

I heard good things about Chicken Express, so stopped by there around 4PM to get supper after my trip to the Lemmon Ave. Home Depot. I ordered the 12 piece chicken and 9 piece gizzards with a couple of sides. I got home and was disappointed that 3 of the chicken pieces were scrawny wings and 2 were drumsticks, and the gravy was lacking flavor. The other pieces of chicken were good, but I was expecting more after dropping 30 bucks. Granted, it was shortly after they opened for business, but my family of 2 adults and 2 kids were really disappointed. I probably will go back to the Church’s down the street next time for our chicken fix.

I was so excited that Chicken Express was opening a store near my job. Today, I went to the store on Lemmon Ave. What a mistake the chicken tenders were dry and had no flavor. The side was coleslaw, but had to be from last week dark in color and kind a smelly. Plus this is the only store that doesn’t have any lunch specials! So back to the Chicken Express I usually go to store in Mesquite, TX.

I visit the Coppell sight is very hard not stop there when in town. While waiting for my order they offered a gallon of their sweet tea… It was so good!!! The chicken is always fresh and no preservatives. Some fast food places use chemicals to create larger chickens. When its cooked it has a bad aftertaste. Only complaint ~~~ I ordered a catfish dinner and they cooked it in the fried chicken oil. You could not taste the catfish so it was chicken flavored catfish… The dish was a great presentation and when we got home it was disappointing. The fried chicken made up for it .If you buy catfish remind them to cook it in fresh oil not the fried chicken oil. The sides are good and they have a LOT of menu items. Fried cheese stuffed jalapenos are recommended. We have a new one in Addison now. Enjoy your Chicken Express dinner…

I love the serendipity seasoning. It has me hooked. This location has fast, friendly service. I’ve only ever gone through the drive thru but everyone seems put together and helpful.

Friendly service, clean interior. This place just opened so I can’t go too in depth with the review, but the chicken was good and the famous sweet tea did not disappoint. It’s a nice change for the area.

Fantastic. I’ve been wanting a chicken express close by and this is a great location. Clean, modern and they already have great service despite being busy during their first week. For years, I’ve been getting the same thing…4 piece tenders, fried okra and a sweet tea. The tenders are moist, good sized, and the breading is great… definitely traditional but with a panko-type crunch. They used to only have biscuits, but the company added rolls to the menu a few years back. The roll I had at this location was fantastic, it was super fluffy but had a nicely crisp top with a glaze of butter. The few times I’ve strayed from my normal order, I have not been disappointed.
