I’m sad that it’s closed! Just passed by and saw a huge Mexican sign was on. I don’t know what went wrong but really hope the family will get back up and open a new restaurant with quality Chinese food.

Surprisingly good Chinese American. Been a while since I had some General Tsao that tasty in a while . Portion sizes are no joke, either — lol. Only thing that was so-so was the longest mein

Aside from having the coolest name of any place in town, chicken rice burger also has some pretty good food. Forget raising canes, these chicken tenders with rice… damn dey sho is good boss!

I had to wait over at Firestone for more than 2 hours to get my tire fixed and was starting to get hungry, so I walked in to the nearest food place which brought me here. I must say that I lucked out. I grew up going to chicken and rice style places where they have the fried chicken sitting in the window. This place is different. Everything is made to order and everything was delicious. The sesame chicken was wonderful but my favorite thing was the steamed chicken dumplings. The décor is plain and mix matched but all very clean. Like the other reviewer said, it is very much a one man show. The owner took my order and gave me great suggestions and cooked it. His wife and children came in at this point and his wife brought my food out to me. He checked on me to make sure I liked everything. His little girls are beautiful and so sweet to each other. It was a real treat to support this small family owned business and I hope others try it out. Very reasonably priced and large portions. He also has a selection of soft drinks available for purchase.

It really changed. BIGCHANGE! I came here pretty late today at 8:20 or something, close to closing time. There was truly 1-man show. He took my order, explained and recommended good food. I ordered a chicken wings, sesame chicken and chicken fried rice. He was also the chef. I had to say he was a chef, not a regular cook. I can see how he cared about the food he was making. He keep the kitchen quite clean(I have been here before and the open kitchen was much worse than now). He also took good care in packing. A real plus! Food portion was generous. He had to pressed the lid to close the box. Food quality: EXTREMELYGOOD. Sesame chicken was white meat, really fresh and juicy. The seasoning was on point, well-done. I like it very much. Chicken wings are awesome. The soy sauce he packed together with the wings was very good to dip in. He also gave a little cup of ranch but I’m an Asian, I don’t care much about ranch. I haven’t taste the fried rice yet, will keep it for tomorrow because my boyfriend and I were very full now. Total a dinner for 2 and a big box of fried rice(possible enough for two for tomorrow lunch) was $ 22. I can totally live with it. This is officially my favorite Chinese restaurant. Please support the local business and the hard-working man. I live nearby so I will eat here often. 5STARS

I was a little intimidated to walk into this shabby looking place(coincidentally there were also no other diners save a withery elderly Asian couple), but don’t judge a book by its cover! Even when unsmiling Bossman fails to say hello at the counter! Chicken Rice~Burger may look a little dingy but its dishes are certainly not. Parents and I had the $ 9.99AYCE special(that is not advertised anywhere in the store… Insider scoop from some sort of Greater Dallas Chinese People Meganetworking facebook page) and boy we went to town! We ordered a lot of stuff, but the portions were pretty small so we could try multiple items: 1. Soymilk(only cold available) 2. Fried dough stick 3. Beef Noodle Soup 4. Dumplings in soup(same as beef noodle broth) 5. Rice Noodle Soup 6. Cabbage/pork potstickers 7. Green Onion Pancake 8. Pork/Fermented egg congee 9. Popcorn chicken I’d say that if I were ordering a la carte instead of AYCE the prices might run slightly high for the portion size, but they might also shrink the portion size for AYCE, does that make sense? Either way, all the items that came out were surprisingly good. The noodles for the beef noodle soup were chewy and fresh, but the broth was a bit too salty. Could almost be used for soy sauce. Fortuntely, the rice noodle soup was comforting all around — not too salty, with plenty of veggies floating in the broth. The dough stick and popcorn chicken were crispy and not oily either!(A little sad the chicken didn’t come with fried basil, but perhaps I can only expect that when I’m actually in Taiwan.) It also tasted like they handmake and wrap the dumplings(good size, not skimpy) themselves. Overall, whether due to low expectations or otherwise, I liked Chicken Rice~Burger. Each item we ordered had a certain amount of care as part of the ingredients, and I could taste the difference. It would behoove Mr. Owner to smile a bit, but my greater experience was not bad at all.

Overall, this place isn’t too shabby. I ordered delivery through EAT24 by Unilocal. It was delivered in record timing and it was so hot I had to let it cool down a minute before tasting. The delivery man told me upon arrival that the drink was left out of the order, he apologized and said he would be back with it as soon as possible. He honored his word, also in record timing. I wondered if he’d just ran to the gas station on the corner or if he had really gone back to the store for it. Ha! The potstickers are of good quality, fresh and tasty. However I did not enjoy the sauce that came along. It was too overwhelming for me so I ate the potstickers by themselves and I was content. The egg rolls were also very good.(I’m a picky egg roll eater) There is a slightly odd after taste though so they aren’t quite my favorite but almost. I like my egg rolls to have a bit of a flakiness to them which these did not. Still tasty. The make or break for Chinese food for me is always the rice and the egg drop soup. Both I was not a fan of here. The egg drop soup lacks something. Perhaps salt or maybe a chicken stock base? The texture and consistency was great but it was bland. It tasted almost watered down. I make my own sometimes and it seems as if it simply needs a better stock base but who knows. I do like that it is not overwhelmingly orange/yellow. A lot of place use food coloring or prepackaged stocks for their egg drop soup. This does seem to be freshly made which I commend. The rice… Oh, the rice. While there is a nice flavor hidden in it, there is just something I tasted I cannot seem to pinpoint. Almost like a cardboard smell taste when you first take a bite. Very odd. The after taste is fairly good. I prefer more egg in mine also but to each their own. The Sesame Chicken was fairly good. I have had better but this had a pretty decent flavor. The breading had a very soft, gel like texture I was not fond of. The chicken stuck together like one giant piece. I pulled it apart and it sort of broke up as I did. I did get this for delivery so maybe it sat in the container and made it soggy? It was piping hot so it wasn’t like it had been in there long. I prefer some crispy left over in the texture even after it’s been tossed in the sauce. The broccoli and carrots inside were very tasty.

Today I ordered beef noodle, Taiwanese fried chicken, sweet soy milk Chinese Donut, and Scallion Pancake. The taste of Scallion Pancake was salty, but look good. next time we will try that dumpling.

This place has been taken over by a new owner and man, can he cook! I ordered an egg roll and the General Tsao chicken, extra spicy, with lo mein instead of rice. The egg tool was wonderfully crunchy and tasted great. The chicken was also crunch despite being bathed in a great rendition of that General Tsao sauce. The lo mein had a nice garlicky kick to it. I got all of this for $ 8 and change — and this lunch portion was very generous. My food was ready in seven minutes. The interior is a bit Spartan, but the food and service is outstanding. This is a hidden gem. I’ll definitely come back for some quality and affordable Chinese food(they do have burgers & fries and even some curries on the menu).

I got a flyer/coupon from this place and decided to check it out. Everything was tasty and affordable! The fried rice was the best I’ve had in a while. The presentation was nice, considering it was takeout. I’ll be going back. :)
